The steak flauntas was okay, I've had the better at other locations, it wasn't as crisp. Feedback from the bowl was good and the burrito was decent as well. The chips were a bit too salty for me and also not as fresh. Environment Very nice place, located in a plaza, there is plenty of parking available. The inside is nicely decorated with quite a number of seating available and there also is outside seating. You place your order and then get your order. Niceness of the staff The person that took my order was very nice, though inaccurate. When I ordered my food I asked how long it wold take and she said 5 mins.. the 5 mins took 30 mins... ALSO, I thought I ordered 2 bowls, but turns out one of my bowls turned into burrito which I didn't realize until I got back and checked the receipt... It has been a minute since I last had Tijuana Flats. I was in the vicinity and thought why not. So I stopped by to get my usual which is the blackened chicken bowl. I know, very basic but it's a good balance of flavors. The food was great as I remember it. However, the portion is not the way I remembered it. It was about 20% smaller. Not what I expected. Just had dinner at Tijuana Flats in Hamlin. I had the 2 tacos double stack and was very satisfied. We shared the chips and guacamole, and my wife got the steak flautas. I really like this location because it's newer and it is a lot cleaner than other Tijuana Flats I've been to. The hot sauce bar is always a Tijuana Flats staple and we really enjoy trying different hot sauces. We got our appetizer and entrees very quick as well. Overall we enjoyed our experience, and will continue to be our favorite Tijuana Flats to visit! read more

Haven't always been a fan of T-Flats but a friend recommended their new Mexican Pizza that they're offering for the month of May so wanted to give the Hamlin location a try finally. Downloaded their app which offered a free trio sampler that I paired with my Mexican Pizza order. Didn't have to wait too long to order but felt like my order took a bit for takeout. Got salsa from their Hot Bar located inside the restaurant and noticed a long strand of hair just chilling on the counter. The location was moderately packed and since I live close by my food kept well. Overall everything was delicious and because of the app, def going to give this place another try! read more

First, this review is only for the Hamlin location. I really-really wanted it to be a better experience as the Windermere location delivers much better service. But the Hamlin TF is a stones throw from my house and I have continued to order from here. Which I will stop doing. They are always slow, I mean, really slow and appear to always be understaffed. Orders are consistently wrong or missing something. From here on out I'll wait until Agave opens. read more

We visited the new Tijuana Flats in the Hamlin Town Center soon after it opened. Everything seemed to run very smoothly and efficiently. I ordered the Bangin' Chicken Burrito, which has always been my go-to. Instead of getting just a drink on the side, we decided to "Make it a Meal" that included rice, beans, and a drink. I had to laugh -- the rice and beans came out individually in what can only be described as condiment cups, like what you would use for ketchup or for hot sauce in Tijuana Flats' hot sauce bar. The burrito is really big, so I didn't need the extra rice and beans. They were pretty blah anyway. I certainly wouldn't "make it a meal" again. Just give me my burrito and hot sauces. I do like being able to sample a variety of hot sauces from the hot sauce bar. They've changed it from the last time I went to a Tijuana Flats. Instead of individual bottles to pour from, now they have pumps. Unfortunately, if someone doesn't like spicy (like everyone else I go with LOL), there isn't another option for them to sample from. So, I just ordered the Street Tacos Carne Assado, with a side of cilantro rice and queso. You would think for $9.99 you'd get more than a spoonful of meat. Don't count on it. While tasty, the portion is very skimpy with a hint of sauce and a couple of onion bits. That's it. Meat, onion and a small corn tortilla. The rice was undercooked and maybe a day old. I really dug the flavor and amped up the spice of the jalepeno peppers with one of the hot sauces they had on tap. Great location, plenty of parking and great outdoor seating too. This was our first and last time at this or any location. We normally liked their Bangin Chicken Burrito it was far from bangin. First of all, they changed their menu, apparently around April 1, but no menus to look at with exception to the two at the registers. My wife can not have onions, now onions, and peppers are together. Can't get rid of one without the other. Now they put kaso on it. They used to have salsa on the side for their chips, not anymore. The Burrito used to have a nice bit to it a little zip, nothing now its boring. Just a fried chicken Burrito with cold kaso. Finally, when we talked with one of the staff, she told us the menu changed, and that's how it is. My wife has an allergic reaction to onions. Her response was a giggle and an oh well. Not an I'm sorry or let me get a manager. We've been trying to get to this location for some time, and I have a hard time finding it it's kind of hidden. Don't have to worry about that again. We loved the Winter Garden location, but that one closed. Wonder why? Now we have to go somewhere else to get lunch after throwing $35 away. read more

Taco Tuesday at TF is a family tradition and the new Hamlin location did not disappoint! Place was packed but our order came out quicker than expected (15 minutes). New staff learning their roles a bit, but all were polite and worked hard to take good care of us. I prefer the salsa from behind the counter (salsa bar tends to be too sweet for my taste) - delicious, as usual! I was really excited when this location opened because it was so close to my house. Well, that didn't last long. Every time I've gone here it's something else. The last time my tacos were all soggy after just getting them. Then this last time the tacos weren't even full AT ALL! It was nice to see a TF open closer to home but I'll be avoiding this location. Management needs to train their staff better. While they are a friendly staff, they can never seem to get an order right. There is always something wrong. Either food is missing or they put the wrong items in your food. I've ordered beans inside and get chicken, more than once. They need to work on portion control and maintain consistency as well. Always hit or miss. I've had a Megajuana chimichanga look the same size as someone else's Tijuana size chimichanga and they are small and flat. Most of the times the servings are very skimpy. They are very slow and disorganized too. I've gone in to pick up an order and have waited over 1/2 hour to get my food, even after going to the counter to ask when it will be ready, I'll see people that ordered after me get served before I get my food, meanwhile they tell me it's almost done and I still wait 1/2 hour. There's nothing worse than driving all the way home to eat, only to dig in and find they your Bean chimichanga is a chicken chimichanga, which you can not eat because you are a vegetarian. We walked in to a short line with only one person in front of us in the line. There were 3 tables occupied in the lobby. The food was good and serving size was good. The biggest problem was the wait for my food. It took over 20 minutes for my order to be ready. Not really sure why it took so long. There were more people working in the restaurant then there were customers. The Manager vas very nice and apologized for the poor service. We've come here and ordered from here more than four times. They're always slow to make food both dine in and take out and they always underestimate to go order pick up time. Mine was supposed to be ready for pick up over twenty minutes ago and it still isn't ready. Their in-restaurant monitor even says mine is ready for pick up and it's not.
