For SC, this hole in the wall mexican restaurant was pretty good. Ordered the birria tacos which were massive and came with a side of rice and beans. I do wish the consome was better though, it was a bit bland. Service was good and prices were decent.

Quick bite to eat near hotel. Tiki dive Mexican restaurant with authentic food. Friendly service. Good place just to relax have street taco and coronas with friends. Nothing too fancy. Hole in the wall with good authentic Mexican food.

Shame I never made it here when I lived in Charleston but I will be back for future visits! Food is tasty and price point can't be beat. I got $30 worth of food and all the food lasted me 4 meals. My favorite was the chorizo sope and you can't go wrong with homemade hot sauce. Atmosphere is nothing crazy. Small and colorful and was busy on a Sunday night when I picked up food. Thanks Tiki Taco!

Ultimate location for every taco Tuesday! Best birria I have had in America. Only 12 dollars! Street tacos only 2 dollars. 5 dollar margs. And you can get them sugar free! Love that it's authentic and the staff mostly only speak Spanish!

We were visiting Charleston & I really wanted birria tacos. After a quick yelp and google search we chose Tiki Taco. The customer service was okay and our food was decent. My Husband & son ordered the three Birria tacos and I ordered the Birria taco plate with double rice because I did not want any refried beans. They do not have black beans or Charro beans. The meat was seasoned well but I had so much fat on 2 of mine that I could've enjoy them. Yes, I know fat will be in some, but I had a lot. The churros were subpar. Everything came out hot and the customer service was decent, but I wasn't really impressed. On a high note, we were able to pay for another customer's food. He accidentally left his debit card and was willing to leave a very nice drill with the staff for collateral. A very expensive drill actually. He would have ended up having to go get his debit card and travel back to the restaurant. We decided to pay for his food. He was very grateful & even hugged my husband. It felt good to do a random act of kindness.

I've driven by this place many times and have been reluctant to go in based on the name to be completely honest. Wasn't sure the correlation of tiki in the name but then again I'm tough when it comes to mexican restaurants because I've been spoiled with very authentic style tacos in Atlanta and we have yet to find one here we've really liked. We definitely thought it was giving "chain" vibes. Decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Definitely gave me a hole in the wall vibes walking in which is a plus for me and especially when they have lengua on the menu. From first glance of our food I was like yes this is what I'm talking about and this looks legit! The rice and beans, very tasty. The tacos were overall just good I would say. They definitely lacked some salt and that depth of flavor that I'm looking for especially in carne asada. we put a bunch of the salsa verde on and I felt that lacked salt too. Textures were good, I really enjoyed the pork belly which I haven't had at a Mexican place before. But hubby loved the thinly sliced radishes and the grilled Serrano peppers on the side. Servers were nice, food came out quick and we're still on the hunt for some mind blowing epic and flavorful tacos!

I've driven by Tiki Taco so many times, and I'm so glad we finally stopped by last night--WOW! It was absolutely delicious. The corn tortillas were the best I've ever had, and overall, this might just be my new favorite Mexican spot in Charleston. The flavors were incredible, the staff was super friendly, and the prices were very affordable. It's located a little off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip. We'll definitely be going back, especially for their $6 Taco Nights where you get 3 tacos! Highly recommend!

I cannot rave about this place more. The only thing I'd say is I'd wish when they're handling my food instead of wiping their hands on their pants and then touching my food maybe wear gloves. Food does taste authentic and great pricing. People are friendly. The next birria tacos!

You can order from inside or at the outdoor station, which makes things convenient. The indoor space features a big bar, TVs, arcade games, and even a small gift shop--lots to keep everyone entertained. Our food came out very quickly, but unfortunately that seemed to be because it was pre-cooked. The fries were lukewarm, and most of the items lacked that fresh, hot taste (the boiled peanuts were a delicious exception--super hot and spot-on). Overall, this is a great casual, family-friendly environment for hanging out and enjoying the vibe. Just don't go expecting gourmet food, and you'll have a solid time. Recommended for the atmosphere and drinks more than the meal.

My husband and I sat at the bar inside. The beer I got was just okay and certainly not memorable. Then we ordered peel & eat shrimp and wings to share. I hate to say this but both were just terrible; shrimp were very hard to peel and wings were dry/flavorless. We barely ate any which is very unlike us! I will not likely come back and can't say I would recommend coming here, especially with all of the other (better) breweries in the area! :(

We got a mix, smash burger, turkey dinner sandwich, duck con fit fries, and the duck gravy. Overall we loved it! Duck fries were great! Crispy and well seasoned! The turkey dinner sandwich had the best tasting turkey, top 5 ever. The sandwich came with chicharrones, not my favorite but the hubby liked them, to me a little too thick. The happy hour smash burger was on the smaller side, but the flavors delivered! The sauce reminded me of the frisco sauce which is my favorite! Lots of grilled onions and melt cheese. Perfect. He stated the duck club had a a lot of flavor and it all worked together well. I found the burger to be a bit better the first time around as I found it to be lacking some flavor but still good nonetheless! The pork rinds are probably the best we've had! I ordered the Hurricane drink and it was just as delicious as the first time. Overall, it was an experience we expected: good food, tasty drinks, kind service, and a light atmosphere. 10/10! It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups?
