Our January and February membership fees were refunded and we were only charged the $80 in combined cancellation fees. We appreciate the owner taking such swift action. This could've been a five star review, if the staff had handled the situation more professionally and a negative review had not been necessary to prompt the owner's action. ************************************************************************************* We definitely do NOT recommend this Tiki Tan or any others that are part of this franchise. We were told in December that, to avoid the $40 cancellation fee, we needed to wait until January to cancel our subscription. When we went in to cancel our subscription today, we were told that we still had to pay the $40 cancellation fee unless we wait until March to cancel. This inaccurate information cost us $160 more dollars in monthly charges plus the combined $80 in cancellation fees. When we appealed to the manager, no responsibility was taken for the inaccurate information we were given back in December. We do recommend Tiki Tan in Linway Plaza in Goshen. Nice staff and a no-hassle cancellation policy. It cost us only $5 to cancel our subscription there and there was not a binding contract with extra fees.

Updating review:…read more Lost 3 stars due to poor customer service. In May, I asked to cancel my tanning for the month of July. I was told I couldn't do that until the last day of May. So I marked on my calendar May 31 to cancel. I promptly called that day to cancel, & was then told I had to come in to cancel. Seriously? I wasn't in the area & was unable to come in. I said, "I'll be there tomorrow." June 1, I arrive in the morning in person at their latest request to cancel the tanning for the month. "Oh, we've already charged your card for the whole month of June." EXCUSE ME???? It was charged at 2 am last night I'm told. I told her to cancel the charge. She said she can't do that. Of course you can. It's a bank card, cancel it. They refused. I paid for an extra month I won't be using. What a scam! Made me sad because I really liked this place & planned on using it yearly, but not with poor policies like this. My money will go elsewhere. Tip: Pay in cash so they can't highjack your card.
