I cannot recommend TikTok highly enough. They helped me move between apartments from Manhattan into Brooklyn over about 10 miles. Not only were all my belongings and furniture delivered quickly, but everything arrived safely and in great condition. Even the boxes themselves showed little wear upon arrival. I also appreciated that the moving estimate was accurate and there were no sneaky extra charges like I experienced with a different company during my last move. I was even pleasantly surprised to find that the movers were kind and friendly too. I think this was the first time where I've tipped my movers more than just a few dollars. HORRIBLE experience, I would almost say traumatizing. I spent hours looking for the right movers for my move back in January and somehow I chose this company. I thought it would be a good experience bc the prices were a little higher then others. However this moving company is a complete scam. This move was very important to me because I was moving back to LA from NY and all I wanted help moving was a couple pieces of furniture, chandelier lamps, big mirror, and art. All of my it was very valuable and expensive and I emphasized that in the beginning to be careful....I don't have many things to move at all.. however the things I do have to move are very valuable and fragile. So, the movers show up, wrap up the lamps and furniture at lightning speed. I thought, wow, how efficient. Wrong. They were careless and trying to get it over. Everything was clearly wrapped in the wrong way as EVERY SINGLE THING that arrived to my house in LA was SHATTERED and BROKEN. Even as they were exiting my NY apartment they left my couch behind in the middle of the hallway (it was supposed to be thrown out). It's clear that the men they hired were found off the street. Even their behavior to me was insanely unprofessional. When they arrived in LA, one of the guys kept harassing me and acting highly inappropriate. They dropped everything off as soon as they could and then my phone kept ringing off the hook and I kept getting random texts asking me for tips for the job. Would not recommend. They started moving/packing items before checking with us. They ate my daughter's candy from the kitchen without asking. They also used our upstairs bathroom (it's fine they used the bathroom, but they should have asked beforehand because they didn't use the correct one and we want to keep things clean because of COVID). Spent a lot of time gossiping or talking on the phone, and mask use by workers was not consistent/proper. These may seem like little issues, but they add up especially during a pandemic. read more

Do yourself a favor and steer clear. The men who came to do the move themselves were very nice (though an hour later than the window that was provided to me), everything else is a disaster. They are over priced and will nickel and dime you for every little thing. They will also not clearly inform you that you are supposed to take out liability insurance on the move. So then they come in, scrape the paint off the walls, dent furniture, put holes in the carpet, dent the ceiling, break furniture, Knick the corners, and put a 3 inch gash in the wall down to the drywall. Then when you try to get them to do anything about it, they take a week to respond and say, "sorry, it's your own fault for not paying for insurance we never told you you should get to begin with." They take no responsibility for the people they send to your home or the work they do. I hired TikTok Moving & Storage for a long distance move, and gotta say buyer beware. I'm paying close to $800 to replace items they lost/damaged in the move, and months later am still getting the run around from them. LOST PROPERTY Most of my items arrived all well and good. However, a bicycle and necessary structural components to my bed frame were not delivered. When looked into, they claim the bike never showed up at their facility leaving me to only imagine if the movers stole it, or if they didn't actually package it and it got destroyed en route. DAMAGED PROPERTY I explicitly asked if a tv box would be provided for my tv, and was told it would be. When my things arrived, turns out one wasn't, it was just moved as-is, and as would expect the screen was smashed in. COMMUNICATION - Delivery Date Even before those snaffu's, it was a pain in the butt getting information from Tik Tok about my move after I'd signed the contract. Getting my things picked up went fine and well, but once they were in storage, the provided estimate of 1-2 weeks turned into 4-5. Given Covid, I sympathize, but found it really frustrating that at no point did they email or call to let me know the arrive date was slipping, or when I could actually expect things by. I'm lucky that I wasn't paying for an airbnb or hotel room the month my things sat in storage. COMMUNICATION - Claims form My move was two months ago, and it feels like my claims form just entered a black hole. Expect to be told they'll call you back tomorrow and then go weeks without follow up. Expect a lot of "all we can do is X", and then stalling. All to say, they will move your stuff, but don't give them the benefit of the doubt. Document as much of the load-in as possible, don't trust what they say over the phone, and package your fragile items yourself. Or, hey, you can just look elsewhere. Maybe they're fine for quick local moves. UPDATE: Two months later, no change or update from them. If they mess up your move they will ignore your claim and give you the run-around on paying out even the meager amount the contract requires. read more

We hired TikTok for a cross country move from FL to NJ. They were extremely responsive and the turn around time was phenomenal. We called TikTok last minute and they were able to accommodate our move within 3 days! We called them on a Friday, they picked up all of our furniture that Sunday morning in FL and they were in NJ by Monday afternoon. There were no surprises when it came to the final bill and the rate we paid was one one the lowest rates out of all the movers we researched. There was some damage to our walls in FL and in NJ but it wasn't anything major that couldn't be fixed with some spackle and paint. Overall, highly recommend TikTok. read more

I WISH THE REVIEW COULD HAVE NEGATIVE STARS..LET ME SHARE WHAT YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY ... We hire this company to move a 2010 KAWAI baby grand piano from NY- to DC area. They said it was a four person job- only 3 showed up in NY in 2 showed up at destination. In NY they didn't wrap the piano properly and they could barely get it to the truck, and we where all worried, but they did. They were to arrive in the DMV area and drop off the piano, Easter Sunday morning, but they decided to deliver it at 10PM the night before. As soon as they arrived, that late at night, with only two movers, we knew there was going to be an issue. We asked them where the other men were, they told us, they were the only two assigned to the job. We talked to them and shared that we were told it was a 4 man job, only 3 were at the pick-up location and they had a very difficult time moving it - we did not know how only two movers would be successful. They GUARANTEED that they would have no issues getting the piano into our home, just the two of them. Well, that was wrong. It took several hours for them to get it even close to the front of the house - as they started moving closer, they dropped the piano, it landed 1/2 on one of the mover's leg and the other half on the concrete. They crushed our solar lights, ruined our flower beds and cracked the piano. The mover was hurt and could barely walk. We, the owners had to literally help them move the piano into our home. There was no way that they would have been able to do it, just the two of them. We then had to help them lift the piano to get the legs on it and stand it up - again, there is no way that they would have been able to do this with just two of them. We have video of the movers stating that the movers who wrapped the piano did not do it properly - they literally only used some cloth and tape to wrap it - it is a piano worth several thousands of dollars. So, not only do we have video of them saying that it was done incorrectly, flat out horribly, they could not even pick up the piano, just the two of them. We have pictures of the cracked piano. We have video of the few keys that now make a clicking sound when we play them and we have evidence from the previous owner who had just had the piano tuned stating it was in excellent condition. We call this company several times to speak with someone. They would answer our calls, return our calls or even respond to the emails we sent. We FINALLY heard back, we were told to submit a claim. They told us that we had a contract signed that had only the basic coverage for anything that might go wrong (lesson learned here), but we were going off what we were told, that it was a 4 person job - NOT a TWO person job. They never responded. This piano was delivered on mid-April 2019 and we are STILL waiting to hear from them. They did NOT provide us the customer service that people deserve. Weeks go by with unanswered emails. Apparently they are sending us a check for $160, which is pennies compared to what it is going to cost to get the piano fixed. They just told us that after we had been emailing and calling for months now. They claimed that the check was sent two weeks ago, so the end of May, we still have nothing. Which, again, is nothing compared to what it should be. This company is unprofessional, they do not provide the care they should and they DO NOT deserve anyone's business. This company is a sham and they should not continue to be open and ruin other peoples property. We are paying costumers, we trust the professionals, but when they lie about what they are going to provide and then think a contract is still binding on the customers end, that is a breach of contract and it is null and void. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Shoddy performance. Rough. Immoral (read on for an appalling quote from their customer service representative). Do not use this company. (1) This company absolutely mishandled and tossed around my furniture. As an example, stacked "fragile // this way up" picture boxes were thrown into storage on top of sharp upended side tables - the legs of the tables stabbing through the fragile boxes. Boxes were not treated as fragile, and "this end up" meant nothing to these movers. (2) As a woman, I was ignored as I asked them to please be careful of my stuff, for the majority of the time. If you are a woman, do not use this company. They did, however, respond to my boyfriend when he stepped in (but not enough to not toss around my furniture and break several items in the process of putting it into storage). (3) When I called Ricky who manages the company's teams, and I explained how poorly the move had been handled (especially because some things had come off my truck from Houston already damaged, and the damage had been made worse by the TikTok movers), how the furniture and fragile items were haphazardly thrown around and things were further damaged, he became EXTREMELY aggressive. When I said I would write a bad review on Yelp (after he denied all blame for anything, and threatened to SUE me for considering stopping charges on my credit card through my credit card company as recourse), he said, AND I QUOTE, "You're a doctor, right? If you write a bad review about us, I'll just write a bad review about you." READ THAT AGAIN. I cannot believe anyone would be that immoral, and threaten me and my profession like that. I meant to review this company 2 years ago when we used them. We had a bad leak in our apartment causing the flooring to need to be replaced and had to move everything out. This company was the quickest and most thoroughly responsive, and also very upfront about costs, etc. Throughout the process - if I needed to reach them, I could. 9/6/19 This is an update to the previous review I left regarding theft of valuable items at my home during a move. A few days after my review, someone from the company named Rick contacted me regarding the incident shown below. He apologized for what took place on behalf of his workers and discussed the insurance matter with me. It was a good conversation. He made the situation right by giving us a refund in the amount of $250.00 . I believe there will be discipline for the workers involved as he was legitimately very upset about what they had done on behalf of the company. Do **NOT** trust this company with your belongings. I used them to move, store and deliver my furniture in NYC. They lost a valuable item. Not great, but it happens. I waited for them to either find it or compensate me. That's where it gets worse. First, they tried to blame the loss on someone else ("You made us wait and we must've left it on the sidewalk!" "We left it in your building!" - Security footage showed they did not wait or ever bring it in, and either way, do you want movers who leave your stuff lying around on sidewalks and in building corridors?). We moved a house with 4 bedrooms, garage and patio in October from Hartford, CT to Louisville, KY. The first thing that went wrong was, there was no agent who came to my house to see the items. Everything was done over FaceTime. As I was busy with many other things during moving, I thought it was OK. Rates were reasonable and there were no BBB complaints( May be they got them removed). On the day of moving, the team arrived with 2 trucks at 3 pm! We had been waiting all day. When would they pack? The guy brought a list of items they had written down. Finally they said the stuff in the house was more than what they thought!! Was it my mistake for them not to see everything that had to be moved? They said they needed an extra truck. Workers hardly dismantled any furniture including tables and beds. They just started wrapping. How can you have space in the trucks if you don't dismantle. There was no list of items or boxes they loaded into the trucks as they packed. There were so many small things that were not in the original list. Finally at 9.30 pm they said they were done for the day with less than 30% packing done. Next day, they arrived again at 4 pm! How would anyone have time to dismantle and pack correctly if they come at 4 pm? Same thing, they quickly pack. On my insistence they dismantle a few beds and part of one dining table. At 10 pm, they are done. 2 trucks full and not enough space, they need a 3rd one next day and of course I would be charged. Same things again, they come to Louisville, KY at 3 pm and unpack and are done by 10 or 11 pm. They stole my kids Nintendo as they unpacked, because obviously one of us was not paying attention. Many items had scratches, dents, broken mirrors, coffee tables wow!!!. Best thing, all the paintings were dumped into one big box, no packaging in between. They had scraped against each other. It has been 3 months since the complaint letter for broken items has been sent to the company, no answer. The billing, wow, they are so prompt. They even charged for the moving before the items arrived since they had the card information. I am writing this detailed review, to help other customers. I booked these guys online after speaking with their owner. I needed movers quickly as I had moved my stuff cross country in a POD and needed them to transfer the stuff out of the POD and move it into our apartment in NYC. The only stumbling block was a bit of back and forth getting them to provide the right Certificate of Insurance over to our building manager (which got worked out). I was a bit leery of my decision after reading some of the reviews here, but ultimately, the crew showed up early and worked quickly. I was with them as we emptied the POD and any damage to our belongings was a result of the cross country move, not due to the TikTok crew. In the end, I was very pleased with the move and the crew. The worst moving experience ever! I've hired movers before but have never dealt with a group of movers this lazy! They refused to move anything outside of the listed items. It's common for small boxes to pop during a move. It was a small move for a one bedroom apartment. They deliberately left out items and the huge truck arrived at the new location pretty much empty. For a 45 min drive, they took 2 hours to arrive at the new location! They broke two pieces of furniture and took no responsibility for it. In February, when my mother moved, I noticed most of my luxury items were missing. I am talking about thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, which I have pristinely kept for over a decade. Items that were in their original boxes with tags. My mother and I turned over every box and checked every location possible before I contacted Ricky, the owner. He said he would check the cameras that are onboard all his vans. I also filled out the claim form, as he instructed. This should have been a quick turnaround if such cameras actually existed, but NO response ever came. Then the pandemic hit. Empathetic to the circumstance, I waited patiently following up throughout with barely any response back. Finally in July, I received a two line email stating that the claim would only be paid out by the opted insurance at the time of contract: 0.60 cents per pound per item. My mother does not recall ever receiving a 20 page contract with insurance options, let alone signing one. She signed a two page agreement. None of which had any insurance options. I requested a copy of said contract. They have yet to provide it. Through August - October, I checked in multiple times, dealing now with Victor. Again, I patiently waited. Finally after months of follow up and hearing multiple excuses about why the contract could not be located, I lost all patience with Victor. He yelled back that the claim would be closed, as previously stated, and then he threatened to bring in lawyers if I ever wrote a review on YELP. What kind of company threatens a customer for wanting to write a yelp review about their experience? I may not be the person on the contract but this is my customer experience with their service. And if English were my mother's first language, I can guarantee her yelp review would be scathing a hundredfold. It is now December. Tik Tok made my first experience using a moving company an awesome one. Since there was a 3 day period between our old lease ending and new one beginning, we'd have to find a company who could complete our move in two parts and safely store our belongings in the meantime. After receiving a few quotes, we decided to move forward with Tik Tok. Ricky was awesome and worked with our budget and timeline. The movers were top notch too. They worked at ninja speed and wrapped all of our stuff to ensure a safe, smooth ride. Although I had a great experience, there were a few small things that would've turned it into a five star review. 1. Communicate the pick up and drop up times in writing somewhere. I was originally quoted a 9am time slot and they didn't arrive until over an hour later. No biggie, but it would've been nice to receive a call or email that morning. 2. The lead asked a few times throughout the move how we'd like to pay for their tips. Don't get me wrong, i get it, but there are definitely more tactful ways to double check you're getting your fair share. Cash is the way to go, and they were grateful to receive it! Arrived late by couple hours despite them calling me the night before the move and urging me to start the process hours earlier than scheduled, which makes me suspect that they wanted to jam another job right after mine but did ahead of mine instead. They sent employees that were high on drugs and they ended up damaging new furniture in excess of 6,000. My house was just renovated and they cracked my tile and banged up many of my walls. The high employees that moved the stuff admitted that they did everything mentioned above as it happened in front of me so they had to say that. They took photos and their management who is ran by one person who lies about who he is and that he has a fake legal department that said not one email had a person or signiture attached to it so you don't know who to address. They would not give me anything for all of this and this cost me nothing but aggravation and money. They are horrible and don't care about you as a customer. The guys who actually came for the job on the day off were super efficient and thorough. In fact they went out of their way in certain things. Started on time. Finished on time. Able to accommodate within short notice. Movers worked very hard and fast but beware of high end /non standard furniture. We have a platform, 100 all natural wooden bed. It's pretty heavy and almost impossible to move in one piece, the movers took over and hour to dissemble the bed because they didn't have the right tools. Not to mention my orthopedic VERY PRICEY mattress... They only wrapped 1/2 of it. We didn't questioned it because we thought they would keep the unwrapped portion intact and away from the ground. Errrrrrr wrong. The mattress cover got very dirty but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I could take the cover off and throw it in the drier. So far they're ok, I don't want to get into it with them... It's Sunday and all my stuff is in their truck..... Okay they got everything in the truck and they're in they're way to my new house which is about 3 miles away. Unloaded everything, placed everything on the right floor (3 floor house) again worked hard and fast... But the bed!!!! They struggled to put it back together. This was our first day at the house so we were busy opening boxes moving stuff, putting things away etc. The movers finished it all in about 4 hours... We tipped them like $60 each because we were pleased. That's not till they left and things started to slow down around here and I was making my bed. I noticed an inch gap between two pieces that were supposed to be screw shut together! We offcourse called and emailed Tik Tok and politely asked if they can send someone to assemble the bed correctly this time. We sent pictures and patiently waited. We got nothing. No email no phone call. We inquired again and they said "they were investigating the issue and that they would get back to us" bullshit. No one ever got back to us. We haven't even tried ourselves because the dam thing is so heavy. This company is supposed to have insurance that covers any sort of accident to furniture as a result of moving.... What it is there to investigate? We have insurance on the bed for accidental damage due to human error... Except that they don't cover accidents that were caused by a company. I chose this company on the basis of the good reviews here. But I had a terrible experience with this company which has yet to be resolved. I scheduled a move on 1/31. The movers came up and surveyed the inventory, told me they would go down to the truck to get their dollies and equipment and then they LEFT. I called the office multiple times and was told that the mover felt I had too many loose items which was not the case. At the supervisor's request, I texted several photos of boxed items -- at least 90% of my items were boxed up. Each time I called that day, the supervisor said he would call me back but never did. I had to keep calling HIM to find out what was going on. In the end, I was promised my deposit back. I had to call other movers at a higher cost to me since it was a last-minute move. I have yet to receive my refund and no one has called to apologize or explain. read more

Company never bothered to call us back in regards to damaging our newly painted wall!!! My husband and I had our new house painted The week before the move. It Cost us a total of $4,000 for the job. Painters had to patch the wall and fix a lot before they painted. We Were very pleased with our house ...... in come the movers. First The guys that came tried to get my husband to pay out of pocket directly to them to move certain things that they claimed weren't on the list which seemed really shady. My husband called the company to handle it with them but please tell me, if you are moving a bedroom set , shouldn't you expect the set to have night stands??? With all the additions it cost us more and added up quickly. But ok we still had to move and so we went with it and prepared to pay EXTRA!!!! What is extremely unprofessional and warrants for horrible business is to damage your clients wall and to not have the common courtesy to call them back and correct the situation. We were charges nearly $1200.00 for the move not including tip and were left with a wall that's dented and scratched with not so much as an apology. They had no problems charging our credit card and going about their merry way. Used them for a move at the end of This last May. The move was great. The movers arrived a bit late, however, they were super cool and very helpful. They worked quick and did a good job.
