Delicious meals for all six diners in our party. Everyone was happy including 2 teens, 2 adults, and 2 seniors. Two of us had the Bahn Mi burger and both of us loved it. Great flavor and perfectly cooked hamburger patty. Others had the flatbread pizza, good burger, and the Rueben. Can't wait to go again! Perfect stop when traveling. Try to support local but...more than likely not here again. Counter help was less than polite, service gets slower every time we're in here. Wife was asked for soup before meal, she said yes-it arrived fancy cream(less), watery tomato like soup after wife went to counter to ask for it. She was told food is prepped in the order received. I had the burger and it was mediocre at best and garlic fries had no garlic, almost warm, more like shoe string potatoes out of a can. Too pricey for the customer service & food quality received, guess cost of expansion being passed on to the customer. Too bad, this place started out really cool. read more

This is a quaint coffee shop on Main Street serving coffee, the BEST hot chocolate on the planet, pastries and lunch items. They also sell gift items including local honey, local handmade soaps (in scrumptious scents), jewelry, clothing and other things. It's quite the eclectic mix of goodies - edible and not. read more

This is a hidden gem right off the interstate ! As my husband and I were driving from Houston to San Antonio I wanted the usual afternoon Starbucks , but I figured let's check Yelp and see if we can experience a local cafe in Texas . We were so pleased that we did. The the staff is polite , cafe is clean , and has a great energy ! We travel often and I have had club sandwiches literally around the world and Tillis's is by far the best ! My husband enjoyed his Ruben sandwich as well . We ordered the iced " golden ticket " the hot " sandlot " coffees, they both were fantastic!. Do yourself a favor and check this place out ! read more

We stopped in for lunch during a visit to Schulenburg. What an adorable place! We put together a puzzle at our table while waiting for sandwiches, and had the awesome cowboy soup - Christine's own creation! This is such a nice place, and very eclectic. The food was great, and the friendly atmosphere was very welcoming. I had a spinach and avocado quesadilla, and it was perfect. At lunch the tomato bisque soup was creamy tomato soup with dried basil sprinkled on top. The Rubin sandwich was flavorless but was large. The service was not very good and no one seemed to care if we were taken care or not. She didn't check on us once since we needed water. Never go there again. read more

We stopped by for a quick lunch and to talk with someone who knows the area. We met two delightful young women who worked there. Sammy and Holly know the area well, gave great suggestions, lots of advice on where to go and what to do, and made wonderful sandwiches to boot. I had the Cuban sandwich which was delicious and my friend had a chicken panini. Both were served hot and with chips and a pickle. We had Arnold Palmers to drink. Neither one of us took pictures because we got carried away with all of our questions but it was worth the stop and next time I'm in the area I'll stop by again. It's an excellent choice. Love this little place and my chicken panini was excellent. The staff were very friendly and gave us info on what to do in Schulenburg and the surrounding area. Definitely a place to stop for lunch. One drawback is they don't have a public restroom! However, across the street is a public restroom that can be used....if it's open, which it wasn't when we were there. I was in town for just a couple days and I was referred to this coffee shop by several locals. When I got there, the owner herself served us some amazing spicy tomato soup. I also had a caramel macchiato in a huge ceramic mug. We did a jigsaw puzzle that's out on the table for everyone to work on. It was a wonderful small-town experience. The shop also sells antiques, candles, and soaps which are locally made. Of course I had to buy a few. I definitely recommend stopping in and spending some time letting the adrenaline-rush of life calm down. It's time well spent. read more

Cutest and sweetest little coffee shop. Great place to stop by heading East on the 10. Wife and I had to make a quick stop for WiFi and a coffee during a LONG road trek from west coast to east, and we stumbled across this amazing little gem in such a great little town. Super sweet Tanya warmed up a nice cup of Sumatra for us and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend! Thanks again Tanya. As a traveler passing through, I stopped here for a cup of coffee before leaving town and the nice woman attending the counter offered me fresh, homemade banana bread piping hot from the oven. It was the BEST banana bread I've ever had in my life--warm and moist, with a perfectly crisp crust. I highly recommend ordering this and I encourage them to keep making it! I would come back to Schulenburg just for this. Excellent! And the service was great too! read more
