Had a great time at the pinball tournament held last Saturday. The whole event was well run, the machines were in excellent condition, and the atmosphere was just genuinely fun--whether you're competitive or just there to enjoy some games. Big credit to John, who ran the tournament. He kept everything organized, moving smoothly, and still made it feel relaxed and welcoming. If you like pinball this place had mostly new pinball machines and they were in excellent working order. It's a bit pricey per game. We figured it out. It was approximately $1.30 a game. You could tell that they had it set so you couldn't match we were there for two hours and got no matches. The pinball is upstairs and they have a general arcade on the first floor. I took my kids here for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. I paid for play cards online before arriving. It said to show the voucher ID when I arrived to get the cards. The staff seemed confused but eventually figured it out and I got my cards. This place has a lot of arcade games, VR games, and driving games. It also has so many claw machines. The amount of points they charge for some of the games is kinda up there. When I arrived, I saw that you could get a timed card instead of a points-based card. I would probably do that next time. I didn't know it was an offer until I arrived. It's not mentioned online. We stayed downstairs so didn't get to see what all they had on the upper level. Quite a few of the games were out of commission. I say go here if you have tried all of the other AZ activities and want to try something else while escaping the heat. I took my children here yesterday. it was terrible ! There was 1 employee working the register . at first our card kept declining at the kiosk 15 min later we finally found someone (actually the only person working ) to help us with our card purchase when he informs us that the kiosk have been glitchling . after we got our cards we kept having issues with almost 2/3 of the games racing games had issues with gas pedals being stuck all the way down , the shifters would not shift gears , and some claw machines were just taking our money without letting us play. but the worst part is the bathroom being locked up . there was multiple people trying to use the restrooms and again there was only 1 person there to attend us . we didnt even get to cash out tickets in because the experience was a disaster . I really wanted to cash the tickets in but the waiting game was so bad that we just decided to leave . I will never return to this place . all the games are prized based so win tickets get prizes but how can you even do this if the games don't work and you can't find an attendant to buy your prizes . but most annoying thing is why the heck do you need to find someone to open the bathroom and why would you keep it closed with 1 employee on the whole floor ! will never return here ! your better off going to golf land or castle and coasters for arcades . atleast their games work and the bathroom isn't closed . my kids had to use the bathroom so bad we just left without any prizes being cashed in . overall experience if I could give this a negative review I would ! Depends what you're looking for. Seems like Tilt tries to please everyone which makes it just an average place in my view. If you love Claw machines...this is your jam. Like retro arcade games like Tekken and Galaga? Great. There's about 10 retro games. Like good NEW pinball games? Great. There's about 10. Everything else is ticket based rewards games which is fine for some but not what we found entertaining. After 3pm. So it was a roller coaster of ups and downs. First the machine was acting bad but we end up getting a deal. We notice they have a policy in an arcade that kids must be with parents. Ok fine. Well my sister sent my niece to me and we can see each other but as soon as she started walking they was over the speaker saying "keep your kids with you" woah!!! Then security talked to my sister my niece is 10. The staff had two altercations with two sets of guest. Then manager told the other staff her attitude was unnecessary and stop rolling her eyes, that then began to cry. I felt bad. She had to leave to go get herself together. The exchange policy for an age appropriate toy can NOT happen. My sister got a teddy bear toy thinking it was ok for a toddler but it was slime. Tried to exchange the unions toy they said no. If you like claw games this is your jam. This franchise made popular by You Tuber Arcade Matt, the design and amount of different kind of games is a throwback. Prices are compatible to Dave & Busters, but we had some solid interactions with employees which made the experience that much better. I like the retro, carnival and driving games here. Not sure if they have weekly specials as that would make the value better, but the sheer size is worth a visit. If you're looking for a big arcade with lots of options give it a try. A pretty underwhelming experience. I'm not certain how often machines are being maintained or when games are replaced/swapped out for newer machines, however my wife and I decided to have our weekly day date at Tilt (after having lived near the AZ Mills a couple of years ago. I asked about storing a play card to my Google wallet and was told that not only do not all of the machines accept the NFC but you also aren't able to earn tickets when using the wallet NFC, which absolutely defeats the purpose. To add insult to injury, the 4-way air hockey table, the "street basketball shot" game, and Mario Kart all were either completely not functioning (but still charged credits to our card) or were not calibrated/maintained (imagine not being able to turn at all during a Mario Kart race.) We ended up playing House Of The Dead, and it seems the 9nly working games were the VR experiences, which may not be the choice for old school gamers, and effectively eat credits at what seems like an unreasonable rate, especially if one finds themselves unable to play any of the more classic games. 20 minutes after arrival, we left with quite a few credits still on the card. It's pretty unlikely that we'll be back, and definitely would not recommend Tilt at AZ Mills to any other families. read more

OMG frustrating. Lower level ... (multiple) Air Hockey tables didn't work. Staff came over to get the puck out for us ... but they would have had to that the entire game constantly. Just mark them as Out Of Order. Then went to the racing video games. Same thing. The video displays didn't work on about ever other one. But ... I gotta say ... for as frustrated as I was ... the staff was superb ... nice, friendly and helpful. We did go upstairs ... and the pinball machines seemed to work. Which those are my favorites anyway. Maintenance in a place like that has to be a pain. But ... if that is your chosen business ... then maintain the games! read more

I love arcades. This arcade could be really great. They have bar food, drinks, nostalgic games, clean inviting space. The amount of times I swiped my game card and the games legit took my money with no play . I get that the employees can swipe for a free game- but it was at least a third of my cards value just gone. Brought my daughter here for the first time last night and although this place is huge and full of many crane games, unfortunately many of them did not work properly! From sticky buttons to just taking our credits without actuality working! I was unable to find any attendants on the floor either. I bought $100 card just for half of my credits to be taken from broken machines. What a rip off! On a positive note the girl at the prize counter was very friendly and helpful while selecting prizes, even though she was swamped with customers with no backup insight. Located inside the Arizona Mills mall, this arcade is an easy way to spend some money with fun filled games. My fiancée and I enjoy arcades and being competitive when the games are multiplayers. Tilt Studio is great for kids and adults who enjoy being a kid and trying to win prizes. The card system is easy to use and the more you buy the more points you get! There are two floors worth of games and a large variety! I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for some cheap fun. $30 bucks got us 150 points, the games ranged from 4.1 to 12.1 points and game so it was money well spent. This place says they open at noon on Sunday. Well, I went today to play pinball and at 12:20 there were no signs of life - all the lights were out and the doors were still locked! No signs stating any reason they wouldn't be open today. Their website says they open at 11 and the sign on the door says 12 but apparently neither are right! This was a fun arcade to spend a rainy afternoon at. Unfortunately, I assume they were not ready for it to be busy, because it was short staffed, but the 2 employees that were working were very helpful. Almost a quarter of the games we tried to play were not working correctly, but the employees accommodated us regarding that. My kid had fun and won a few prizes. I've been to tilt a few times. Mostly we go there for the pinball tournaments. We first went over a year ago and every time we have been there it has always been a positive experience. We love the air hockey. They do have a few retro games and could get some more. They always keep up with the latest pinball machines. The pins could be a little more speed out. Some have quirky ball drains like Diner. I this k they should be tested on a daily basis. Also leveled on a daily basis. The food isn't very expensive a 10" pizza and 3 toppings for $10 is awesome. Pizza wasn't greasy and it tasted awesome. Crust was a little tough but chewable. My wife ordered a salad and they accidentally gave her ranch dressing on the side problem was rectified fast. Great soda choices. Alcahol is a little bit pricey. At least the kids dont steal the pucks from the air hockey like they do at main event. The staff responds better than Main Event and the food is way better than main event. (Read that yelp review). Tilt is better than Dave and Busters and the staff cares more here than other places. If you are close enough to a Dave & Buster, go there instead. The games are mostly broken. We had our bag of purchased items from Sea Life stolen here while we were playing with our backs turned for a moment. Not that it surprised me since there was a pack of teenagers running around the place bumping into people. They had a security guard, but he must have been asleep on the job. I spent 200 on points. Usually by the end of an arcade trip that would get my niece and nephew about 4000 tickets combined to spend on the little prizes at Dave & Buster. Nope. Here they barely got 1000 combined and the prize costs were so high, they didnt get much. There were no employees around when games broke or took your points and didn't work. They did have some good retro games upstairs, but i would still rather do Dave & Busters anytime. read more

Yelp saying that a 1-star is "Not good" would be an understatement. I was trying to redeem tickets on my card and was told that it had none. I thought this was just a dumb joke by the attendant but he just pointed at the screen with a straight face. This was impossible seeing as how we had just come from the Horsin Around game and none of the games print paper tickets. We were told that nothing could be done and that they were closing. I don't even care that this is the equivalent of 25 cents "lost". I don't care that I won't get a refund. But the fact that we paid for a game with a guaranteed ticket payout and were told there's nothing they could do was ridiculous to me. It was a stunning display of indifference. This isn't the same as gambling. There is a 100% chance of a payout. They radio'ed a supervisor who apparently didn't want to hear it and they reiterated that there was nothing they could do. Nevermind the fact that they could literally walk 20ft to the machine, use the card again, and try scanning again to test what I had just said. No, the almighty clock must be adhered to. Your grievance means nothing. Not only that but several of the crane games did not function correctly. Non-moving claws being the main reason. One of the attendants knew exactly which machine it was without even describing much and let us play something else. The machines are broken, don't expect help, your money is as good as lost as soon as you put credits on your game card, and supervisors will not hear you at all because the clock reads 7:01PM. I threw my son a birthday party here and we were both excited, but our experience has left us not wanting to come back. These are all the reasons why: - I had to continue to ask for refills on the drinks that were supposed to be unlimited. - The soda was flat - We were only checked on the first 45 minutes when our time was reserved for 3 hours. - They did not have a lighter for the cake. - I had to ask for a knife for a cake because they did not bring one out with the cake after I had to look for them to bring out the cake that I took in. - There was a girl with dark hair that does not know how to smile and was very rude to my guests - There is only one restroom and it is on the first floor (we were on the second) and it was very filthy. The family and myself arrived around 3:30 PM on a Monday, needed assistance with purchasing a card from the front desk.After the nearly five minute wait to see if anyone showed up to assist us, I walked to the nearby "prize desk," where three employees were standing around talking to one another. Asking for help at the front desk was clearly too difficult of an ask for the minimum wage employees, as the one I did happen to speak with ended the conversation prematurely, blurting out, "yeah, she works the front desk." After waiting for another five minutes, watching the employees continue to chat without assisting anyone, I finally gave up. This will be a location I never visit again, and will implore anyone looking to spend money here, to immediately turn and run. Not only do they have one of the greatest selections of pinballs, they're constantly rotating games so it's always fun to stop in here. The bartenders and servers are exceptionally nice and make it a point to remember you, even if you've only been there a few times. They're super awesome about maintenance on the machines and the whole arcade is always clean, bright and fun. The Tuesday pinball league is something else I highly recommend. I've made a lot of great friends through that league. Plus, the food is really good! Seriously, get the tater tots with their spicy aioli dipping sauce.
