The floor and tables were filthy as if they'd never washed, pizza was dry and gross, and it was just overall a lousy experience. You also can't pay with anything but cash. This place has outlived its nostalgia value and really needs either a full overhaul or to be shut down. My daughter wants her own skate party this year and we're driving down to Austin instead. I'd never recommend Wheels for parties or even a casual skate, it's just dreadful and unpleasant inside with the smell and age, like it was frozen in the 90s.

I was approached by the younger man who runs the rink as I was putting my skates on and was told they really don't like parents to skate because they are more likely to break bones. A few years ago, I had a surgery on my knee due to a torn meniscus, and I have been desiring to go skating, but life has taken a course where I never made time however, this valentines, and anniversary weekend we decided to go skating. I had such a blast and I realize I really enjoy skating. Although there was a little discomfort in my leg from all the work of going around till midnight on adult night, which is Tuesday and Saturday nights from 9 to 12 PM and it was about $33 for two people with skate rentals. I brought my own skates however the skates that they have are quite nice for rent. I had o much fun watching everyone just smile and enjoy themselves. The staff was quite friendly, the DJ got better as the night got later, and we didn't get a chance to explore the whole new side. We are definitely looking forward to going back again with some other adult friends and experience the whole facility.

Pricing is fair and the ambiance was on point with the different colors of bright led lights being displayed. The skating rink was clean and the DJ was playing appropriate music for all ages. They have a food court and games to play as well and also a small store to purchase skating equipment such as wheels or laces. The restrooms were clean and they have signs posted that it is highly recommended to take off skates before using the restroom. They also have roller blades to rent out as well as the typical old school roller skates. They offer monthly unlimited membership skating as well as events and birthday partys. Come out and enjoy the largest skating rink in TX and take advantage of one of these great deals they have for the community. Overall we had a great time and I definitely noticed all the renovations they updated and was blown away from when I first visited 25 years ago!

The snow was placed on the backside of the building for the kids to play in, however the snow wasn't roped off in any way so we as the party hosts/guest had to continue to tell others who came outside to play in the snow that this is "paid for snow" and not for public use. The private skating lesson was marked off with cones, and therefore, I assumed the snow would be the same way, but this was not the case. The pizzas for the party were not pizzas made at the location but were pizzas that were ordered from Dominos. For the price point and what was offered, it is on par with other venues that host kids' parties. The pricing of the racing game is the same as The House of The Dead: Scarlet Dawn, which is $3.05 & only gives you one play. Basically there are weapons you can choose when you start the game, which you can choose the ones that are useful or useless, which I think basically is what make this game expensive. But that doesn't mean you only get one play because of the weapons you can select, it's about the pricing of the game that only gives you one try. I would recommend lowering the price down in order for people to have more fun with the gameplay. I'm not really sure for the rest of the pricing of all the arcades, but I just recommend the owner dropping the prices of the machines. Since I'm done with the price thing, let's move on with the quality of the arcade machines. For the confidential mission one. The quality & the screen is great, but the guncon just doesn't seem to work properly. The Aim shown in the screen shakes violently even though you're holding the gun calmly. For the Star Wars arcade racer game, the screen isn't properly lit up & you can barely see what you're doing & where you're going. The rest is fine. For the house of the dead 4, the screen isn't lit up properly & the guncon barely works. The rest is fine. For my overall response, I did like this place a bit, but I just recommend fixing some troubleshooting from some arcade games, decrease the price of each play, & increase the quality of some arcade games. They do take cash or card which is convenient. The line is never long, really non existent most of the time. Parking is a breeze especially if you get there for open swim which begins at 12 noon. The majority of the lounge chairs are shaded and you don't have to worry about anyone taking/moving your belongings as you enjoy the water. The lazy river is extremely clean and well kept and the floaties are in abundance and FREE! Everyone is respectful in the pool! At any given time there can be newborn babies to the seniors and every age in between so being courteous is just as important as having fun! The music is great too! They play EVERYTHING including Spanish songs on Cedar Hill Tunes. There is one lazy river, one slide which is so much fun and never a long line, as well as a larger pool that is wheelchair assessable too. It was in this pool that my BF taught me to swim this Summer so the Cedar Hill Lagoon will forever be memorable to me! They also have about 7 cabanas that you can rent out for your private event. The bathrooms have great air flow and are pretty well kept with no trash on the ground an I definitely appreciated the cleanliness. They also have showers too. The lifeguards are also professional and they appear to have fun too. There is food available if you get hungry. A CH police officer does make his/her round at the pool too so it definitely makes you feel safe an at ease. I hope the Lagoon continues to be a fun, clean, memorable place for my future summers!

Each path was clearly visible so as not to get lost or off the marked walkway. I even spent some time in one of the day use areas to read this month's issue of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.
