This is the most wonderful hidden gem. The menu is fantastic-- choices for everyone and lots of yummy healthy options for those who enjoy them. The outside patio and garden are SO lovely. Beautiful views and relaxing vibes. If you have young kids, they'll LOVE exploring. And the service was out of this world (thanks Brenda!!! ). We were shocked to be seated right away at noon on a July in Sunday and the food came quick too. Service was not good. Our server was unfriendly to the point of rudeness. It was nearly impossible to order drink refills. The bar told us we had to order from our server. Please, allow us to give you our money! The water tasted musty. The pulled pork sandwich was mushy, more blended than shredded/pulled. Order sweet potato fries and received regular. Had to bounce after waiting nearly an hour for our food to arrive and noticing literally no tables around us were receiving their food either. The place was packed to the gills and a general feeling of hanger was permiating the air. The staff is primarily young people (high school or maybe college age) and our waitress didn't come back to check on us once after seating us. I will say the drinks were creative and delicious. Still one of the best restaurants on the lake a year later! We stopped here on a busy Saturday afternoon for an early dinner at 5 and grabbed the last table on the deck before the dinner crowd rushed in. The food came out fast and hot. The pizza was perfectly baked and the crust was just right, not too thin or too bready. Really enjoyed the char grilled cherry appetizer! Our server, Jen, was excellent! They are NOT EVEN worth a zero star! The staff is very friendly and courteous. However, we waited about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food. Once we received our food, it was room temperature. One of our dishes was not fully cooked meat. All the bread was stale. The food was very bland as well. While the scenery is fantastic. And it was a great evening for such an atmosphere, I will never go there again nor will I recommend it to anybody else. And hopefully we do not get sick due to the uncooked meat. Such a fun northwoods vibe and super casual which we always love when we are up north. They're always busy and depending on how many wait staff they have it can be a bit slower but no complaints since we are there to slow down and enjoy the outdoors. We recently had an opportunity to visit Tomahawk, WI, and after a 3 hour drive, we were ready to eat!! We stopped at the Tilted Loon Supper Club, and let me tell you, the food is just hands down delicious. The Northwoods dish fry was very well made, and the fish was fresh, flaky, and flavorful. Also recommend the pizza that was crisp and yummy. The server was very patient and very attentive despite the huge crowd of people. The old fashioned and the bucket Mai tai were our favorite drinks! Our friends loved the supper club, and we are excited for your next dinner in Tomahawk to be at the Tilted Loon. read more

We arrived on a Saturday night around 5:15 pm thinking we would beat any rush. There were only 2 of us and we didn't get seated for 30 minutes. There truly needs to be a hostess or a large sign stating how to get your name on the waitlist. We had a drink at the bar and watched 2 wait staff try to keep up with over 10 tables. After 4 tables emptied out- the tables didn't get cleared and cleaned for at least 10 minutes. It's a cute supper club. The drinks are pricey and the Parmesan chicken sandwich and Prime Rib dinner were ok. We did have to wait 10 minutes after sitting at the table for our waitress to take our food order. I don't think we'll go back. They need more wait staff!! If we do go back, we'll sit and the bar and eat. read more

Food: The food wasn't good. The Shrimp Skewer was plain, just grilled shrimp with no seasoning. The chicken dippers were overcooked and tough to eat. The Southwest Chicken soup was a bowl of chicken mush that looked unappetizing and once again had very little flavor. Service: The service was lousy. We stood around in the doorway for several minutes while wait staff would look at us and then quickly avert their eyes. Eventually, we were told we could sit anywhere we would like. The waitress rarely visited the table and the wait for food was long. The worst offense was when we got our bill, however. The suggested tip options were: 90% 30% 25% 20% Yes. 90%. When paying on the handheld scanner, I saw these options again. I looked at the waitress and asked point blank "Do you really put 90% as a suggested tip? Is this for real?" She said, "yeah, haha. It doesn't get used very much but sometimes we get drunk people or people who aren't paying attention to press it." Wow. Yes, the staff of the Tilted Loon Saloon are trying to trick and take advantage of their customers into nearly doubling the cost of their meal. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I'll start out saying the service was great, quick and friendly. The place itself was your typical Northwoods bar & grill. This was my 2nd time here and I probably won't go back. The first time I had the cheeseburger with onion rings and it was pretty good. My friend had the pecan salad and she loved it. The 2nd time I ordered the Tilted Philly and when it came it was covered in a whitish yellow liquid cheese that was so messy I couldn't hardly eat it. I've never had a Philly sandwich with anything other than melted mozzarella. I don't know what was in that cheese squeeze bottle but it was just weird. After using about 10 napkins I was done. I had heard good things about this place but I beg to differ. I would skip it and find somewhere else. I wish I had taken a picture. read more

Service and ambiance were perfect. Lodge feel, right on the water, and our waitress was super attentive and sweet. The food itself was ok - mostly standard bar fare. We got the parmesan crusted haddock, but wasn't crusted - it was just a TON of melted cheese on top. No "crust" to speak of, but tasted good. The Cajun haddock had good flavor, and the beer battered haddock was your standard fish fry. So nothing spectacular, but wasn't bad. We also got the Thai chicken wrap, which was lacking in flavor because the sauce was in only on one side of the wrap. I didn't want to entirely disassemble the wrap to spread it out, but I suppose you could... but shouldn't have to. The appetizers, which is what we were mostly excited for - cherry bomb shrimp had some kick, but for those who love spice, this wasn't it. The spin dippers were a total letdown... two of them didn't even have any filling - assuming it came out in the frier. The rest of them had little to no filling, again assuming it came out in the fryer, so it was basically just deep friend wonton wrapper with sweet chili sauce. Pizza dippers were actually great, thick and very cheese with good sauce. Finally, we did have 3 kids meals - Next time I'll just have my kiddo share my food because the grilled cheese had just one slice of cheese (mostly bread), and the mac & cheese was basically kraft... I'm by no means expecting gourmet food for kids meals but something a little more substantial, flavorful, or fresh would be great. read more

Hats off to the servers who had to deal with the local who was intoxicated. He knew the staff's names and continued to ramble to himself use profanity. One of the staff attempted to quiet him, by asking him to "shut up". But, it almost caused a bigger issue because the rest of the patrons stopped their conversations due to the outburst. There is potential here! We came in on Memorial Day for lunch after spending a few days relaxing in Minocqua. The patio is very nice, although sadly, not dog friendly. There were a good amount of tables outside and although we came around 11:15 the place was already considerably filled up. The cheese curds were awesome! The bloody's were awesome! The meal was not-so-awesome, but it was cold by the time it was brought to our table. SOO, I think it may have been better, had the server been able to bring it out to us at a decent time. I think perhaps she was so busy, the food sat there for a while, unattended, because the food also took a long time to get (maybe 45 minutes or so)? Either way, we would go back back with hopes that the meal can meet up with the curds and bloodys! read more

Pretty good place !! When we stopped in they just reopened so it was a limited menu. It looks like they are always doing unique and fun specials. Definitely will go back to try their full menu. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was great! Up north feel with a view of the lake. The exterior was absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to go back. Tilted Burger had a delicious sauce and fried onion petals on it. Bacon was rubbery so I pulled it off. That's my preference. Steak melt was very flavorful and hot. Great sandwich. Bloody Mary was a good, average bloody. The atmosphere and good food make it a worthwhile stop. read more

First time at this new restaurant (new owners & name) Atmosphere is nice located on lake Nokomis. We got there at 5:00 on a Friday night & sat on the deck which was the only available seating. By 5:15 there were no seats left so get there early in the summer. We all got the haddock, 1 lemon pepper & 1 Cajun. Menu choices included 2 pages of choices. Keep driving past this place to have your delicious meal at The Grill or Loophole. I asked the server to bring the meal for our four year old and 10 month old as soon as she could when we placed our order. All the tables kept having their orders served including ones that sat after we did. 50 minutes passed before our order was brought out and we even went inside to check (because our server wouldn't even make eye contact with our table) on the kids meal and were told it wasn't ready after 40 minutes for a grilled cheese! I said never again since we waited well over an hour last summer at this same restaurant for dinner. So forward to today when our restaurant of choice today was closed and we were on the lake and it was close so we decided to give it a try for lunch. We understand there is no snow for tourism so we try hard to go places that count on snow and share our outings of spending money to many restaurants and establishments, as we are business owners, NOT going anywhere twice. We were blessed with a friends cabin in Tomahawk for three days and made sure to support!! Server/Bartender could have been more friendly/attentive, she didn't do anything wrong, she just didn't acknowledge us other than taking order at the bar, weird to me, but everyone has their own needs... We drove a little bit, to get there from the cabin, but the food was great, both of us enjoyed our meals, Funny pickles and fries "sliced", but good. Slow on a Monday, but got to meet locals, great friendly place. Stop in and support the up north communities and remember they rely on tourism and without snow, on the way back to the cabin we said that place would be fun on a weekend, just got that vibe!!! ..... First time visitor here. Excellent location. We went in mid october, so sitting outside wasn't advised, but this place is right on the water. During the summer, I bet the views are amazing! Service: our waitress was delightful. Promptly greeted and informed of the specials. Took our order quickly and was funny. Food: I had the chicken bacon wrap. Very filling (they added some rice in there.) I've never had flat fries before. You'd think they are like steak fries but they are much more crispy. Yum. Give this place a chance. This used to be my favorite restaurant on Nokomis but our recent visit left a bad taste. I should have taken a cue from the dirty tables and anxious customers but we forged ahead. I ordered my favorite, steak and cheese flat. After a 40 minute wait the food arrived. A mound of luke warm jarred cheese sauce covered the flat bread. I removed as much as possible and took a bite of the remainder of the now folded flat bread "sandwich". I discovered a mouthful of mushy, unchewable meat which I immediately returned to the plate. So lunch consisted of potato salad (very good) and coleslaw. We never saw the waitress again until it was time to pay the bill. We explained the issue and all she offered were condolences. What a breath of fresh air! We knew the bar that was here before and the Tilted Loon did a full 180 and brought life back. We enjoy coming here for the cheese curds, pizza, and onion petals. Plenty of seating outside, since it's right on the lake. Slightly more room inside, but the staff does a good job of moving everyone through. So why only 4 stars? We've been hit or miss on service... on some of our visits it's been fast and other times our waitress fell flat when it was time to get the check. Recommendation: eat at the bar. . The menu has something for everyone and seems to change. Friday night fish fry is worth a visit. read more
