Stopped by on the four hour drive to Indianapolis and got my fave muffins! Tim Hortons easily has some of the best muffins and they're always fresh. I also got their decaf coffee which was still very much caffeinated (either that or I'm just super sensitive to caffeine), so be cautious if caffeine is an issue for you. This location was relatively clean and our order was ready in about 3 minutes. I only wish there was more seating in the store! read more

We order a small Iced Tea, large coffee-double-double and a vanilla creame donut. I'm sorry sir, no tea...wait...I'll make fresh. Young fellow comes out of the back and overhears our order. I'm sorry sir, we're out of vanilla creame donuts. Wait, I'll go make you one. He walks back out with TWO hot, fresh donuts and a large Iced Tea! For your inconvenience, sir. I love this place! The store was clean. Shelves stocked and bathrooms tidy. Obviously, the staff was great. They have a few tables with umbrellas out-of-doors. I went to this Tim hortons on the 12th to get a couple of paninis at about 7:30pm for them to tell us that they had dumped all their food for the night and all they had was donuts and coffee. The employees weren't exactly nice about it either. They then told us that I had to go through their online people to get a refund, which I did and was told by the online people that the store had to give me the refund. She sent the case to them twice, and I waited a week and a half for any kind of context from the store, and that has never come. This is so frustrating because it's not like their food is cheap in anyway. It feels like they just stole my money honestly. read more

We stop in here regularly. The ppl that work here are ALWAYS rude. The place never looks especially clean, the hours just get worse and worse. Then you come 10-30 min before they close, they won't make anything. They say they're out of everything and even tho they'll serve you basic coffee, it's cold and tastes old. I'm done giving this place a chance. We've tried telling management and the owner, but they literally do nothing. Why wait to close if a half hour before you still refuse to serve or make anything. April 29th we stopped at the Dewitt MI location for a couple of coffees and donuts. The employee (a young, short, white man) acted hostile and angry. Irritated that we were there. I ordered a caramel iced latte and he gave me a hot coffee. I did not complain and left. Because it was too hot I could not try it until I got to the car. It was the absolute WORST coffee that I have ever had in my life. It was SO bitter that I couldn't drink it. I wanted to return it but my husband wanted to keep driving. Given the poor service and terrible coffee I will never go to Tim Hortons again. Believe me, Speedway's coffee tastes way better than the coffee this guy makes. Next time we will stop at McDonald's. I'd give this zero stars if possible. It won't be long before this one closes like all the others in the area. Scorching hot coffee from the microwave, no cream or powdered cream, no idea but either way it's gross. Is it perfect? Maybe not. But it beats every other type of option in the area, they know the appropriate amount of cream cheese to put on a bagel, the iced coffee isn't 99% ice and 1% coffee dribbled over top (I'm looking at you DD), and service is pretty fast. read more

The last four times I have been here for ice cream they have been out of chocolate ice cream and also coconut. It's not like chocolate is a rare and exotic flavor. You should always have vanilla in stock, you should always have chocolate in stock, and you should always have strawberry in stock. Today I went to try them again, and they were out of chocolate. Again. This time I asked them about it and they said that they were sorry but they were out. I asked how they were always out of chocolate, and she responded that they make it on site and she hasn't had a chance to make it. Seriously? You make it on site and you ran out? That's insane to me. I love Tim Hortons but I'm not out this way that often. When I travel from the Port Huron area to Indiana this was once a definitive stop. That said, I had only a few good stops here before what now is a trend. I was here just a few days ago on my way down to Indiana and this place had a new addition. A Coldstone Creamery area. Neat!, or so I thought. The service was really slow and forgetful but the two girls were nice and they seemed to simply be trying to learn all the new recipes. I totally understood. However on my way back home today I stopped in again for simply a muffin and an iced tea. The service was ridiculously slow and unattentive. I was trying to be patient and in doing so the guy behind me jumped ahead and demanded a coffee. Kind of rude on his part but I don't blame him. Staff was just talking and almost loitering though I thought at the time they were working on something. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon, which is certainly past breakfast, but they had almost nothing from a donut, muffin, etc standpoint. Two grain or Bran or similar muffins. Luckily someone did offer to make a fresh one and since it was apparently quick, I waited. The freshest muffin you can get was a positive. In the end, the staff seems like nice folks but they seem spacey and almost drugged. Sluggish and unattentive. Maybe they're tired from some Mother's Day rush but I have never seen a Tim Hortons run so lazily and with little concern for anything representing customer service. That guy and his coffee who cut me off? His coffee was free and they didn't even say why. Just handed him the card back without any conversation about anything. Really, this was just a weird experience and this is a second strike. It's the only Tim Hortons on my route when I make these trips but I think I'm done making the stop. They were out of ice cream cones, small cups of ice cream, wouldn't give us mixed ice cream because they had already 'cleaned the stone', then they're out of caramel apple cider after we paid for it, although I suspect this involved another machine they needed to clean and didn't want to get it dirty again. After finally sitting down in the lobby to enjoy our drinks, they actually turned the lights off on us after 5 minutes. I got up and said I thought you closed at 10? "Our Lobby closes at 9:30". It was 9:26. "So you want us to leave?" I asked. No, you have 4 minutes." I have never been in an establishment where they actually shut the lights off us on us when we were eating - not even close to closing time. We will not be back. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!! I have had multiple people who work here tell me that they are told not to throw away food even after it is expired. They have also told me that no one ever cleans and they are one failed health inspection away from being shut down. Avoid in order to stay healthy! Went through their drive thru ordered a couple of sandwiches and drive home only to find they were completely wrong. This is a very sad pattern unfortunately. The front door made a slow but loud groaning sound when it closed. Me and my friends laughed because it sounded like a very long fart. I was in a good mood but this should've been a red flag. The staff seemed friendly but this creamery ran out of the basic and most popular ice creams, chocolate and vanilla. I then got coffee flavored ice cream for my sundae instead and was surprised by the shards of ice in my freezer burned ice cream. My friend's sandwich bun had a few specs of mold on it and my other friend's sandwich was forgotten although the store wasn't busy, about 7 customers inside. Has anyone had issues with Tim Hortons in DeWitt Michigan? Here is my experience. I was given a Tim Hortons gift card from a client of my business for going above and beyond on customer service. My wife and I used the card once for coffee and donuts. We went back to the store last week to purchase some muffins and was told the gift card was now Inactive. We called the 866-846-2273 number listed on the back of the gift card and was told we still had $15.01 balance. The Manager at the store said they could do nothing and treated us very rudely like we were trying to victimize Tim Hortons. We paid for our muffins and left the store. We then spoke to a person at the 866-846-2273 number on the card again. They verified that I had $15.01 remaining on the card and was told if we would go to the store and get another gift card they would transfer the balance to another card. Today I returned to the Tim Hortons in DeWitt Michigan at 12962 S. US 27 and explained to the Manager what the Tim Hortons help desk told me to do. Again I was met with rude people acting as if I were trying to victimize them. They checked the card again and gave me a slip that says the card is inactive. And still refused to help with my issue. I then sat down in the store and called the 866-846-2273 number again and spoke to the help desk person which verified the balance and then transferred me to a Tim Hortons customer service representative. I explained all the information again regarding my past and present attempts and was told they could not send me a replacement gift card with the amount balance and I would have to buy another gift card. Oh Yea, and I would have to register the New Gift card for a $5.00 fee from Tim Hortons online website. Why would I do that? So I asked if this how they keep people money by Inactivating Gift Cards making you have to buy even more gift cards and pay them a extortion fee of $5.00 to get to use a Tim Hortons gift card that some buys or give as a gift to someone. I was also told to go to another Tim Hortons store and try the card. And why would I travel to another town to try and use the card, I live in DeWitt Mi and should be able to use it here. The customer service representative has forwarded my contact information to the Franchise Owner and that is the end of it. I have spent too much of my time wasted on a business with extremely bad customer service. Store personnel and managers that treat people very rudely. And from contacting Tim Hortons Corporation to remedy the issue that the local Franchise Owners run their business in the same manner. I have given my customers gift card before NOT to Tim Hortons but I would have never considered that when I buy $150.00 gift card I would have to pay $155.00 so my customer can get to use $150.00. And I clearly have never run my businesses in this manner where you treat customers like they are victimizing my business. Clearly I will not spend anymore time on Tim Hortons other than asking locals in my area if they have had similar issues. As for me I will not patron another Tim Hortons now or in the future. So Tim Hortons you can keep the $15.01 and a copy of my experience. Maybe you might want to change your business practice. read more

The coffee is decent at best, but the service is sub par. I chose this location due to convenience alone. The staff was new, very friendly and sweet but the managers training them seemed to be at her wits end and very rude. Went to this location to use the WiFi and enjoy breakfast but as soon as I sat down and set up everything, could not log onto the internet at all. Several people complained and we were all brushed off and set aside. Very disappointed in the service received as well as the overall attitude given by the managing staff. Will not return. read more

I would have given the Dewitt Michigan Tim Hortons Zero stars but it wasn't an option. Beyond horrible service and Beyond slow service. I used to go a couple times a week but have since scaled back to maybe once a Month or so even though I drive by it daily. Example of what happened this morning, simple order, 1 Multi grain Bagel toasted with Butter NOT CUT AFTER TOASTING AND BUTTER APPLIED, another words I don't want my bagel in 4 small pieces, and I explained it twice to the order taker, well it was cut in tiny pieces again. Its hard to make a sandwich with tiny pieces. Second issue today, Whenever I have ordered coffee there I Order a Large French vanilla Coffee with 4 splendas and 4 creams and its usually Consistent, slow service but at least for the most part consistent, why wouldn't it be, right? Its ordered the same every time nothing crazy or anything. Today I decided to order and XL French Vanilla Coffee with the same 4 splendas and 4 creams, thinking I may need to add a little bit to it oncve I get to work,....... Well It was so sweet that when I got to work I poured HALF of it down the drain and filled it with Folgers and it was still too sweet to drink? How, well my guess is they just grabbed a handful of Splenda packets and tore them open and added them. This was only one of the many situations at this particular Tim Hortons that have gone Haywire. Agree with other posting. Horrible service, rude staff. I asked for a refund after I was given soup which was getting cold after 20 min while my sandwich was not even started. Staff member quickly threw sandwich on prior to returning to counter when I asked for the refund and was angry, forcefully throwing it away with NO apology or explanation . Just FYI-Iwas the ONLY customer inside and 2 cars in drive window. read more
