Okay. I hate that I have to leave this review... Timber Creek has always been a stand up place. But my recent experiences here have been awful. They just keep getting worse too! The girl I've encountered in this place has the worst attitude. She's stared at me (like stared me dead in the eyes for multiple minutes straight while I was ordering) and made me feel super uncomfortable. She's never acknowledged customers when I've been in there and saw her. Then she made me a sub today that I can only describe as scary. The lettuce was brown and the meat was slimy. I didn't even eat it. $15 out the window. The poor guy who was working with her was incredibly nice however was clearly not trained in the slightest. He didn't even know if they had mint ice cream. Let alone what was in it. He also didn't know how to use the cash register. And let's face it he was alone with Miss Personality and I would be scared to ask her a question too if I were in his shoes. Also the interior is beginning to look more and more like someone's garage sale. There's crap everywhere. The counter shouldn't be so cluttered with ratty dirty signs that you can't even pay your bill without have to step around the corner and almost put it in the register yourself. There was junk mail wedged in some of the signs too. Random pieces of paper advertising specials but could just be scraps of paper. I love the cabin decor but the grinch costume clearly being stored in the corner of the front window needs to go. As well as the two elf on the shelf toys that make reading the already cluttered menu difficult. The arcade games are a nice touch but shouldn't be right next to the register. There's so much going on in that corner and it makes it hard to order. I don't know what happened to this place. This was one of our favorite places especially in the summer. Went to Timber Creek Pizza and was welcomed by a wonderful employee named Kay. Not only did she patiently wait for me and my friend to goof up our order at least once, but she had a chipper attitude the entire duration we were there. Great little charm found in downtown Lake Mills. I would recommend their pizza and subs but I know that they have quite a few other options for food as well. It's right across the downtown park if you want to have an ice cream cone on the square. Worth a visit. read more

Pizza and lemonade, my two favorite things in this whole world. I can't get over how great this place is, their staff is great and they are super quick with orders. This isn't your typical one and done kind of place to be, as I've been to places like this and it definitely beats them all. The fact that it's right in the heart of Lake Mills is fantastic because whenever there are events happening downtown - deliciousness is a few steps away. I don't have much else to say about this place since anytime I've been here - it was a good experience. Good on you folks for keeping things groovy and sweet. Horrible service. We ordered food for delivery at 10:30 and they said it would be there by 11:30. 12:30 rolls around and there is still NO FOOD DELIVERED. We tried to call them multiple times and their mailbox was full. No contact about what time we would even get our food. Of course we prepaid and it was getting delivered to our work which we leave by 12:45 on Fridays. Therefore no food, spent money on this place, no way to discuss a refund. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I took my boys and headed over to Timber Creek Pizza today. We had a large cheese pizza, garlic bread and fountain drinks. Everything was delicious! Afterwards, we tried out the ice cream and it was very very good too. I don't know how this gets rated worse than 5 stars honestly, but everyone has their opinion. From the first step of ordering for a business luncheon on Wednesday 12/16 to the finalization of the transaction today, I am thoroughly impressed with the service. Friendly and quick. My entire transaction was over the phone. The gentleman that originally took my order was so helpful and reassuring that my boss's order would arrive on time. It did! Then, I needed to contact today for a receipt and talked to Kay. Kay went above and beyond to get my my receipt. I can't say enough about this place. My boss likes it here but, the service makes me want to make the 2+ hour trip just to try it out myself. Keep doing what you do! read more

I can only speak for the ice cream at this place. Damn, that was good. Seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Served with a smile. I went with a two-scoop waffle cone and got Birthday Cake and Cookies and Cream. They were everything I ever wanted in either. The Birthday Cake was packed full of that delicious cake flavor and tons of blue ribbon. Cookies and Cream was incredibly creamy and there was barely a bit of ice cream that wasn't covered in cookies. The portions were huge and the price was right. We came here after eating at nearby Water House as Van #1's lunch stop for Ragnar Relay Chicago. As good as Water House was, I think I'll bring the crew to Timber next time. They have a huge menu that caters to pizza, sandwich and veggie lovers. read more

I have had better, but then I grew up in Chicago. This was by no means the worse I have had, but it is far from the best. I had just moved in and lacking groceries and desire to make a meal I chose to order a pizza. I kept it simple, sausage and mushroom. The sausage was okay, not the best I have had but okay none the less. I ordered for pick up and it was ready when promised. The place has plenty of street parking and it was no problem getting in and out. The place was empty, but this may have been because it was almost closing time. I do believe the place warrants another visit and my rating may change as a result. But, given that the pizza options are few here this might be as good as it gets. read more

Given that the restaurant is located in small town Wisconsin, I think it does a pretty good job. The service was prompt, the ice cream was terrific and the seating area was cozy and welcoming. The pizza we had, though, wasn't so great. It had way too much sauce on it and the sauce was very bland. The ingredients were piled to overflowing on our pizza, too. It was hard to know if the kids behind the counter had been taught how to make a pizza properly or if it was anything goes. I've been here before, though, and not had that same experience so I would definitely come back next time I'm in town and try again. We have wanted to go here for the last two years and finally made it. People were coming in and getting ice cream in droves. We got pizza and it was pretty good, Thin crust and tasted great. Not the best I have ever had but I will definitely come back again and order the pizzam. The sub- sandwich's people were buying looked very good and were reasonable in price. We stopped here for the first time while visiting the local farmers market in Lake Mills. We were able to order right away, and the young lady at the counter was very friendly. We ordered a classic deluxe pizza with sausage, mushrooms, onions, green pepper and pepperoni. With the exception of the sausage, the ingredients were plentiful, including the cheese. The sauce was flavorful. It was brought to our table hot, which is very important to me. While not the best pizza I've ever had, it's good in comparison to many others within driving distance of Lake Mills. My main criticism is that it is a little bit too much "self service." I'd like to see table service and not to have to go get plates, dining ware, drinks, and condiments. The prices were reasonable, but above the fast-food/serve-yourself range. Again, I'd like more sausage and less self-service, but the overall experience justifies a return trip. read more

In Lake Mills under not so great circumstances - needed to find a quick place to eat, and this is very near where we were visiting. Their storefront lists pizza, tacos, and malts... Hmmm... Yeah - That pretty much sums it up. Sub-mediocre food - almost bowling alley-like... Hubby says it reminded him of "rodeo" food. I tried the spinach alfredo pizza with mushrooms and tomatoes; hubby had the nachos and a soft taco. the pizza was okay - the crust was nice and crisp, which I like, but overall, just sadly bland. Hubby's nachos made me chuckle - think of those round, cheap tortilla chips they serve you at the movie theater (or bowling alley.. or rodeo...), with that "cheese" that's dispensed from one of those metal contraptions that ketchup's dispensed from in fast food joints, then add some Hormel meat-chili and some jalapeños from a can, and voila! You have their nachos! The soft taco was like a sad, middle-school lunch taco. I really hate giving out a 1 star, so since the staff was nice enough, I'll give them 2. Timber Creek is alright. Their pizza is terrible. They never seem to make it right. One time it was too crispy/burned, another time the crust was soggy in the middle. Their subs are good though, especially the Italian one. They also have yummy ice cream. read more

The service is so-so, not the place to go if you're looking for fast food. I like the woody interior decoration as well. The pizza is ok. I've had better. I now usually come in for the ice cream. Theu give large proportions and they have multiple flavors to choose from. All the ice cream is home made, which makes it so much better. For example, the cookie dough tou buy at the store cheaps out on how much cookie dough they give you, here there's plenty. We eat at timber creek every time we go to Bartels beach in the summer (we drive in from ixonia). We always get the taco pizza and it is awesome. One time it was overcooked and burned on the edges but the owner happened to be working that day and apologized and made us a new one with some free garlic bread to eat while we waited for the new pizza to cook. The ice cream is great to have during the summer and the timber creek nachos are great in the winter but we hardly ever are in town in the winter. Keep it up timber creek! read more

This is a tough review. We love timber creeks food and ice cream, but seriously people who work there you need to act like you want to be there. There is zero energy amongst the staff. Also, I feel they could add things to their menu such as Mozzerella Sticks, Cheese curds, even fries! Overall, we do like and recommend it but they need improvement in certain areas. read more

Order at the counter. Wait and wait for your food, which was fast food- pizza and subs. Coffee came out with meal. Out of shrimp for shrimp pizza, didn't tell us until we sat down. Out of Parmesan cheese shakers, which did not come out with pizzas, had to ask. Later came out with one when we were done eating. Had to ask for pepper sprinkles. Is this really a pizza place? Pizzas were pre-recorded thin crust, little sauce, tasted like grocery store frozen that they added toppings to. No anchovies. Expensive for area. Very little meat on subs for price. Toppings on pizza were cold. Carryout got food first, even the ones who ordered at counter instead of calling in. One carry out came back, they forgot salsa and sour cream for her taco salad. Had ice cream, mediocre, waffle cones not made there, altho nice ice cream selection. If this were not in sammie town America in an area with little competition, as well as a tourist spot, I doubt it would last. read more
