Called and asked about ballpark pricing and said screen room and deck would be about $100,000.00+. Was amazed as how high the price was. He didn't understand the email and photos I sent. Didn't have a clue. Asked for a price just for just the deck and add the room at a later date. Didn't seem happy I denied the larger price. Said he'd get back to me. Never did. We had TimberBuilt build the most beautiful addition in our home. It was a huge job and I couldn't of asked for it to be any more perfect. I was very nervous since we had walls taken down, a screen door area removed and our whole house was opened up. However, they were there throughout the project and they treated us as if we were their only customer. They answered all of our questions and we never felt that we couldn't trust them. Rolando and Sean were outstanding. Also, Timberbuilt only uses their employees (painters, electricians, carpenters, etc) which are also very outstanding and trustworthy. You wouldn't have to worry about other contractors along the way. They allowed us to have the home we always dreamed about. read more

After careful consideration, we decided to go with TimberBuilt to build our Sunroom, it turned out we made the right call. We absolutely love our new room, quite simply its beautiful! We had an absolutely wonderful experience building our 3 season sunroom. We had never gone ahead with a construction project of this size before, we have done minor remodeling things, painting etc... in the past but nothing that I would consider a major home improvement so we were careful about making our decision. I really feel we made the right choice as TimberBuilt did a fantastic job building our room. I do really feel like they went above and beyond to make sure that what we wanted was what we ended up with. Ryan and Chris were so helpful as well. The workers were all excellent and very friendly. I must have visited the showroom 5 or 6 times and there was always someone there to help us and answer our questions. The showroom is a must visit if you are like me and can't interpret drawings very easily. It was so helpful to see actual rooms built that we could walk around in. read more

We contacted this business to schedule an estimate/consultation as we are looking to add a room addition to our home. Their customer service was horrendous. Their representative managed to insult my husband within the first 5 minutes. The person spoke with such distaste and spite, we cannot imagine the lack of care that goes into their product. We will not be doing business with them now or in the future. Hope they address this first impression failure. read more

Timberbuilt completed my screenroom just about two years ago now and structurally it is a very nice place to hang out and relax in. What is important to remember is that they provide a one year warranty and stand by it. After that it really feels like they want nothing to do with you. My issue with them is that it is now two years since completion and the majority of the outside painted areas are peeling. I called to discuss my concerns and got nothing more than a confirmation of what type of paint was used and "this has never happened to anyone else". After two years the paint should not be peeling and would have at least thought they would offer to mediate this issue by contacting the Sherwin Williams Company and see if they would at least cover new paint. Instead I had a very disappointing interaction with Peggy and at very least a poor customer service experience. read more

Can't believe the other reviews. Must have written the reviews themselves! It took about 2 months of arguments and even threats from Brian and Peggy to get our screen room finished. Julie had to be recalled a number of times. Details/trim work was a nightmare. We had to call building inspector in town over and over again. This is a family run organization and get one of them angry over something (Brian) for example, and suddenly no one is even civil and you have no one to talk to. They left their trash sprawled all over our lawn every night for me to clean up. They trampled my landscaping, did not match the shingles on my house. Disconnected my dish network, argued it wasn't them. Frequently sent non English speaking workers. Argued not to put on gutters as written in contract. Kept the door to my screen room hostage (as is their policy per owner) until final payment is received, and before final inspection from building inspector. Just to name some of the headaches. Good luck if you deal with this outfit. read more

My screen room was just finished up last week and I had to share my experience. First off, my new screen room looks amazing! I'm so happy with how it turned out! This was a lot of money for me to spend on a screen room but now that its done I am so happy that I made the choices I made. I shouldn't take all the credit for the finishes I chose, Ryan helped me design the room and he mostly helped me by actually telling me which upgrades were worth it and which were not. For example, he told me that leaving the siding up inside the room would be a mistake so I had them take the siding off and put up cedar on that wall as well as the ceiling and it is so pretty that I walk inside my room and am speechless that this is on my house. The guys working on the room came out in the cold and worked so hard. Too Gabe, Matt and Mike, thank you so much for the hard work and for dealing with me every day. I can be a bit of a pain in the rear :) but you guys really made this project amazing for me. Thank you so much and I'm soooo excited for the nice weather to come so I can really enjoy myself! read more

I don't write a ton of reviews but when I do like to share when I have either great service or really poor service to try to help out others. I had a really great experience with the TimberBuilt team. My parents house I grew up in had sunroom so I always wanted to put one on my house. I finally decided to pull the trigger on a 3 season sunroom after visiting TimberBuilts showroom multiple times. My initial impression of them was professional. I spoke with Pat at the showroom and he explained everything to me. He brought up things that I would never have even considered when adding a room onto my home. Once construction started, all the guys that came out to work were also extremely professional, they built me a wonderful room. After the project was over, the fan was acting funny so I called these guys up and they came out next day to take a look at it. We found out the fan I bought was a lemon, so I bought a new one and they came out again at no cost that week and installed the new. Very impressed by the whole process. read more

I've waited a year to post a review just to see how well our new all season room held up during all seasons, and I'm happy to report it is awesome- 4.5 stars! I use it as my office and it is definitely a beautiful and well-built retreat from the rest of our house. We had it built during January which wasn't ideal due to the cold and rain, and Oak Park has strict codes so that also wasn't ideal, but the end result is wonderful room that adds value to our house and was a good investment. I wish I had done this sooner. My only 2 complaints are that I felt the tear down was a little sloppy, and we had to replace part of our neighbor's grass because the guys cut through it instead of the street/sidewalk, but it was a rainy mess and our neighbors were understanding. And they did not use Benjamin Moore paint as requested, but rather did a paint match with a lower quality brand. It still looks great, so overall very happy and recommend. read more
