About 30 years ago, my mother had him put a 2C Kenya diamond (?) onto her antique wedding band and I had a 1C one put into an older ring of mine. He did a great job and I still have them both even though I no longer wear that type of jewelry. My adult son was visiting from Florida and needed a minor watch repair. I suggested we drop it off there so he could have it fixed before he went back. Mr. Harris was extremely rude to him and said that he did not do watch repairs (even though I recall having some done in the past and his website advertises that as one of his services). He said he only replaces batteries so, since I had some that needed that, I asked how much that was. He replied , "as much as I can get". I assumed he was joking, but when we all laughed, he said "I don't do watches, I'm a jeweler." My son asked if he knew anyone in the area who did any watch work and he replied, "Nobody." His demeanor wasn't appropriate for a longtime business owner. I have seen this gentleman in church and have read good reviews for the business, so maybe we caught him on a bad day. I just felt the need to leave a review so that maybe he'll be kinder to potential customers in the future.

I later discovered cracks and chips in the exact areas where the prongs had been holding it. I provided photos of the damaged stone and the empty setting. In addition, I sent a copy of the original appraisal certificate to help resolve the issue, but the store DECLINED to REPLACE the STONE or Offer ANY COMPENSATION. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this was a meaningful piece to me, and damage could have been avoided with proper care. Showed the salesperson the other heads on my bracelet, specifically showing the size and thickness of the gold charm I wanted to purchase. The charm with engraving was $650 plus tax. I went to pick up my bracelet and noticed the charm was only 1/2 as thick as the charm I showed her. The salesperson said if I wanted a charm as thick as my other charms I would need to pay an additional $238. The salesperson ordered the wrong charm. The salesperson made the error they would not correct the problem unless I paid more money. I also asked them to give me a price on a custom made bracelet before I had the issue with the gold charm.. She said it would run between $3000-$4000. Few days later she called to say it would cost $4900. Her estimate was so far off the original number. Went to another jeweler and got the same bracelet for $1100 less than their price. When I told them I would not be purchasing the bracelet because I got a better price. The response was why didn't you let us know, we could have worked with you. So the original price was an inflated price. This is a terrible way to do business.
