Their burgers are good but they can't get my order right. I guess ordering a cheeseburger with extra cheese means no cheese on your burger. My biggest issue with this place is that they don't use gloves to handle the food while cooking or prepping. Hopefully the owners can see this and addresses this simple issue and start using gloves. Until then, I will not be a customer here. read more

I really like this place, a lot of good eats here, avocado bacon cheese burger, chili cheese frys, teriyaki chicken and many others.

I've been here about 3-4 times and oh my geezuz Literally the best chicken strips of my life. Dramatic? Nope. You take a bite, nice and crispy and then BAM the juices come out. Wh the burgers are exactly like something you would have at a friends bbq, and the fries are tats like the frozen kind you get at the grocery store, the inside can be quiet and somewhat weird. The lady working there was very nice though. The food is very very mediocre, a lot of these little burger joints serve really good burgers but this isn't one of them. It's not terrible food but I mean for $9 you Might as well go to the habit for a burger and there is definitely better Mexican food right down the street. Tl;dr at the bottom FIVE stars. I've been told before by friends that this place has the best burgers. I don't like burgers and rarely eat them so I never went. He got the pastrami burger and was inspired. He talked about how good that burger was from Friday to Sunday...he even tried to have me bring him one today, today's sunday. He said from the moment he walked in they treated him like a King, he couldn't decide what he wanted so they threw in a little extra something for him. He said the ''food was lit'' which roughly translates to "that was the best pastrami burger I've ever experienced". I decided to go get a burger today based off his reaction. I ordered a cheeseburger special totaling $7.20. There's no drive through so I parked and went in. It's a really clean establishment with nice day to day decor. The kitchen is in the front so could see everything they're doing. The staff is nice and welcoming..they made eyecontact and smiled, even the cook..that threw me off a bit because I wasn't expecting it. It was just weird because I felt that they saw me as a person and not just a customer..like walking in to your friends house and saying hey to their mom. Anyways, this is getting kinda long. I'm gonna skip to a tl;dr. Tl;dr food is awesome. Establishment is clean. Staff is friendly. Process are awesome. Portion is good. Variety of food tabbing from Korean bbq chicken to chiliquillas...and of course burgers. The buns are soft, sweet, moist and thick (I'm still talking about food). The meat is juicy. I had a very bad experience at this hamburger stand I came in order my breakfast combo pay for it with a $20 bill got my change which was $12 and some cents set down and ate ..... then left the place to get gas at the chevron gas station next door and the attendant told me that my five dollar bill was fake so I go back to Time out Burger's and let them know they had given me a fake five dollar bill and I was told that they did not give it to me and I didn't even eat there 20 minutes ago good after reviewing the receipt ribbon and video they decided to change out my five dollar bill it may seem petty but that was a lot of disrespect to a pay frequent customer read more

I've eaten here many times before since I moved in to Downey. The main focus in this restaurant are the burgers, they make some excellent burgers and dinner plates. J.J. knows how to make some pretty damn good burgers; pretty big too: they're normally four to five inches wide and around two inches high. The fries are pretty good too and you can ask to add more seasoning to the fries if you crave more kick in your pack. Drinks are what you would expect from many burger joints though. You can grab yourself a good, filling meal for under ten bucks. Another good selection is the New York steak dinner, the steak comes with fries, onion rings, and a salad; A1 sauce included. The Teriyaki bowl is really good too, comes with the choice of either beef or chicken. Chicken stripes are great too, nice and crispy, better with the good ol' ketchup on top. Breakfast is another good thing here, from eggs to polish sausage, they got most of the good stuff. Each plate always comes with a choice of either white or wheat toast too, the breakfast can be pretty filling too for those who want a big start on the day. I'm not much of a fan of Mexican food but they have some decent plates as well, as mentioned earlier: the main focus of this restaurant are the burgers and dinner plates. A majority of what is served here fits the bill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; all for under ten bucks. The joint isn't exactly fancy or anything, but it has good stuff, plenty to sit. Although the seats outside aren't too good and you'll be slapped in the face sunlight due to the lack of shade. Ordered a couple of cheeseburgers, burrito, fries and zucchinis. I decided to wait in my car. And as I was walking back in to order something else I saw them MICROWAVING THE ZUCCHINIS I ordered. It's a typical local burger joint. No air conditioning so it's hot inside. No drive thru so you'd have to step inside to order. I ordered a chicken salad and it was huge. The chicken was generously seasoned so I didn't add much italian dressing. Cheap prices as well. read more

Came here because of all the great reviews, I had been craving a good diner burger for a long time after recently moving to the area but to my disappointment it wasn't the best food out there. Their burrito was also bad, not to mention that as I was returning to the cashier to order some chili cheese fries I saw the cook throwing something in the microwave ( my zucchinis )which of course was my order as i was the only person there. Perhaps they need a visit from Gordon Ramsey. Dont come here unless you want microwaved food. Customer service is bad, cashier didn't say thank you or even make eye contact. read more
