Came here before work one day and got myself an almond croissant and vanilla latte. The latte was creamy, but nothing that blew me away. The croissant was nice and flakey, yet also not impressive. It was a bit pricey, but that's kind of expected with a big city cafe. It took a while for my latte to come out, but it's understandable since morning before work are always such a hassle for any cafe. So when I go to different cities I try different coffee places. This is my first time in Oakland and I chose Timeless. It did not disappoint. I got a vanilla flavored cold brew and a raspberry donut. Normally, I always have to add sugar, but this coffee was perfect and needed absolutely nothing added to it. Additionally, the raspberry frosting on the donut was amazing (they make it in house). The donut had kind of a sourdough texture to it (but not a sourdough flavor), which I love and now I wish every donut had this texture. read more

Stumbled onto this place after seeing the balloons outside and couldn't help but check it out. My partner and I ordered a Timeless Iced and Iced Latte w/ oat milk. The coffee was super smooth and delicious. The Timeless Iced was a bit more bitter since it's a cold brew which was perfect bc I prefer my coffee on the bitter side. Came here after a 5k race in snow park. Glad this store provided a nice and warm (and dry) space for people like us who just ran in the rain. They seemed to have only soy milk, oat milk and almond milk (interesting). I got a matcha latte along with my group's big order and it took them a while to prepare the drinks. Timeless is my happy place. Finally a vegan coffee shop with no guilt, no dairy, no meat. The baked goods to me are the highlight and the coffee is just a nice addition. My go-to items are the empanada (flaky, savory and delicious), cherry danish (tart, juicy and mouth watering) and the turmeric latte (spicy and satisfying). This is one of my fave spots and i am not even vegan. I got a pumpkin roll today along with my latte and it was quite flavorful and huge. I also like the space but it can get loud. Everyone working is always super nice and my only complaint is that they have a rewards program, BUT you don't get points for anything under $10...i go in almost every day and get a latte which is like $6-7 (pricey) and i don't get points on those days, which to me feels a bit greedy on their part seeing as it's a coffee shop...but i will still be back tomorrow... and the next day... read more

What an spacious location! I love the open layout. It definitely feels comfortable with a lot of natural lighting from the floor to ceiling windows. It's a great place to sit and and get some work done! Of course, the coffee is great. I came here on my way to work and the cappuccino hit the spot. I love a nice strong coffee in the morning! In addition, they have pastries in the case for people to have with their coffee. I didn't get any pastries this time, but definitely will in the future! Be aware that it's street parking in the area since it's close to Downton Oakland. Also, WiFi isn't provided here. Overall, Timeless Coffee did not disappoint! This is such a hip spot in Uptown! The employees are always friendly and they have a variety of coffees and pour over options. I had the iced oat milk latte, pesto rolls, and the vegan pumpkin bread (flavorful!!!). This place serves all VEGAN pastries and breakfast items! Decent coffee. Would I come back? If I am in Oakland, sure. I would not go out of my way though. This place is Vegan and plant-based. Amazing culture. Love what they stand for. Great cause. However, I must also judge on the taste and flavor. I ordered a golden latte with almond milk. The first couple sips were interesting. Tasted very herb-like. Was not a fan. It reminded me of Peets Gingerbread latte, which was not great. After a few sips, I enjoyed it more. It got better. But by the end, it had too many particles or a debris-like texture. Collectively, it was not my favorite. I am happy I tried it though. Might come back to try a Vanilla latte. Maybe I am just too traditional or used to coffee with dairy. Decent and not terrible. These new doors are too heavy. I thought the doors didnt open, lol but i just had to use more strength. I was wondering how I should have ordered my order. Not many places have iced espressos on their menu. I thought about ordering it as "iced americano, with no water". I was curious about how they would make my order. Often times they would pull the espresso straight into a plastic cup, which dilutes the espresso a lot and makes it into an americano instantly. The other option is to pull the espresso into a "regular" cup and add ice to cool it down. This prevents it from being too diluted with water while having it ice cold. The cashier who took my order, went to grab a cup and filled it with extra ice, and I was like yes! I forgot to say extra ice. But the person behind her told her that she didn't need to do it like that and that she'll do it. I was curious if she would do it in a way that prevented the espresso from being diluted. She did. I was pretty surprised, and had mixed emotions. I was happy to have it either way, but for the barista to maintain the integrity of the espresso showed that they had a standard for their coffee. I'm going to order it as an iced americano with no water next time and see what I get. read more

This is my go-to coffee place! Their coffee is absolutely fantastic, the staff super nice, and the ambiance is open and airy with lots of natural light. My go-to is the oat milk latte, but the mocha is absolutely fantastic (I believe they make their own chocolate ganache), and I also love the golden latte. They are also open early and on weekends which is super convenient. Pro tip: if you're in a rush, use the mobile app to order your drink ahead of time. Came here on opening day. They were handing out a free coffee beverage of your choice, which was pretty cool. Unfortunately we got there kinda late so they were out of most all pastries, with just some cake slices left. I guess they didn't think free coffee would bring people out in droves lol Since the 'rona is still running wild, they don't have inside seating going on. However, with the new larger space I look forward to what they will do with it. With the large glass windows this place is much brighter than the other two locations. Actually, it doesn't really have the same Timeless feel. It's more ice cream shop like than the other two which feel more like old school cafes. Not a problem, just different. Their coffee is just as excellent as anywhere. I ordered a cold brew, wife got an oat latte. My cold brew went down like the delicious bean water that it is. Naturally I had to sample my wife's latte which was excellent as well. I don't know if this was for the opening or not but we did spot their star barista from the Piedmont location pulling shots here. I love this new Oakland location. Senor Sisig with it's full Vegano menu is right down the street with many other Vegan hot spots and pop ups in the area. I could easily spend half my day here gorging on all the many choices to choose from. Just hoping they can keep those awesome pastries in stock. read more

Really cute new uptown coffee shop. The space is sleek as clean, and they have a cool scorpion logo. Of course I love my regular blue bottle and the crown, but it's nice to have a new addition in the neighborhood. I'm able to bring my dog inside also! Got the cappuccino and also the iced timeless coffee both with oat milk. They also offer plant based baked goods. The menu is kind of hard to read. I think they should switch the colors with the letter as black font instead of white. read more

Coffee is good, but if you are a plant-based or vegan place, make it obvious! This would make it clear for those who prefer and those who don't prefer vegan places. No sign from the outside, and even the website doesn't mention it except in the about section. So you go buy your coffee but they don't have milk, pictures of the place show meat and egg pastries but I would assume it's all plant based versions of those items as well. I like certain timeless products..... But don't love their cake donuts. They're not real cake donuts, they're cake in the shape of a donut which is a whole different texture. It's not as good IMO. THE rest are raised donuts which personally I find kinda meh. In any case, I came in this morning and waited around 7 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. There were 3 ppl behind the counter and none of them even looked at me or said hi... I'll be with you shortly. Apparently they never learned good business customer service practices. It wasn't even that busy and even if they were making an order they could have at least acknowledged me and said they'll be over soon. Apparently common courtesy has gone the way of the dinosaur. I got excited that they had boichok bagels that I've been dying to try but haven't because they're REALLY expensive for a whole bag of them. Just like at wise sons they ONLY have vegan cream cheese as a topping, which I find kinda meh unless there's vegan butter underneath. Most vegan cream cheese IMO isn't good enough on its own for my tastes. Then I considered a vegan breakfast sandwich but then found out they use an impossible sausage on it and I don't eat impossible meat as I don't consider it vegan because they tested on animals. The other toppings are vegan cheese and vegan egg. Again, no butter on the English muffin. Just not very meltable vegan cheese on a DRY English muffin. Gross! Considering the fact that they have to be using vegan butter or margarine in most of their products that they bake you would think they would have it to offer as a topping. I just can't this morning..... Most places I go to that have bagels do you have some kind of a vegan buttery topping. I don't know what it is right now with Oakland where the two places I went to both didn't have it. It's 2024 people please get with it! You would think of vegan place of all places would have this but apparently not. read more

It's a cute coffee shop, good location, i love coming here for the vegan eats and pastries, but there are some things that are kinda off putting. they can't heat anything up for you which for the price seems weird, they don't have flavors you can add to the drinks, they don't have wifi, and they don't have a rewards program for regulars which is disappointing because i come here really regularly. however the service is always very quick and friendly! I'll still continue coming here, but i really hope the owners seriously consider offering wifi, rewards program, and warm pastries. read more
