    BBQ Chicken Plate Lunch $7
    Toan D.

I stop by a few times a week for their daily plate lunch--great deal for $13: one protein, three sides, and a drink. Check out the day's menu at timessupermarkets.com/plate-lunch-menu, or just Google "Times Super Market lunch." The website allows you to plug in your location. Bonus: they have brown rice! Pro tip: Pay at the main register first, then bring your receipt to the plate lunch counter. One of my favorite finds here? Cooked sweet potatoes. They take forever to make at home not to mention heating up your kitchen, so I'm more than happy to pay $3 for a huge, ready-to-eat, post-gym carb boost. Their fresh fruit, veggie, and poke sections are also solid--everything's fresh, clean, and well-stocked. Prices are very reasonable. Easy to get to --right off S. King Street with plenty of parking. Always nice to just pull in and find a spot without circling. Happy shopping!!

Large steak plate with white rice and double potato Mac.

I like this Times hot food line! The workers are quick and the portion size is perfect. Each plate comes with 3 choices. Customers can select from brown or white rice, potato mac or toss salad, steamed veggies and mash potatoes. They offer steak plates on Wednesdays which are tasty and different specials throughout the week. Their poke bowls are also very popular and I have yet to be disappointed with any of the specials.

One of my favorite places to shop. Times has everything including local stuff that is harder to find in the mainland chains. The food is great too. And the staff are very very friendly and welcoming.

Make a list and check it twice as Times has so much to offer! One thing I do love about this location is that the parking lot is large and well maintained with just steps away from the market itself so no elevators or crossing the street to access is great. I did come for something very specific and had to be in and out quick so knew that coming here is the best solution...until I browsed since I found that item so quickly that there was always something else I'm looking for and did manage to find something at a great deal omg!! Times also famously have various plate lunches daily, poke counter, even a service counter where you're able to get bus pass, HOLO card, stamps, and Western Union transaction that's a little bit of everything at daily store hours of 6am to 11pm you know it's a great pick up place. Thank you!

    Scored Japanese Vodka

Came here to get some liquor for some beer for the better half as the restaurant we were going to eat dinner is byob. When grabbing her beer, I noticed they had a vodka from Japan. If you like vodka you have to try the ones from Japan. A friend told me about the Haku brand and I had to grab it. They even had some whiskeys as well. Maybe next time I come I will grab a bottle or two. Times also has a nice selection of fruits and vegetables. We like getting plate lunches. They also have prepackaged bentos to go which makes it very convenient when you have to eat on the road. I noticed they rent Rug Dr which is a do it yourself carpet cleaning. Everyone should clean their carpets as they would be shocked to see what's in there. Lots of free parking. What's not to like about Times.

    Steak plate with 3 sides???
    Dona H.

I have gone to other Times Supermarket locations for food and always received 3 actual sides as advertised. This is the first time I got shorted a side. AND, I got 3 plates! All looked short a side! Their prices went up AND they shorted me a side times 3 plates!!! Awful!

I've been a long time fan of Times - it just has that local feel, and this particular location has been my go-to recently because it's conveniently located close to my office. Not only are prices competitive, but they have a great selection of single serving desserts in the refrigerated display cases near the cashiers. They also sell Kansai Yamato mochi, Lanakila Pacific scones, and a host of other locally made products.

Great place to do grocery shopping. Friendly service/staff. Good specials. Sign up for weekly emails, also seafood specials, and also weekend specials. Note: ads are available in store. Now, scan once for all coupon items. Great prices. Shiggys sushi bar now located in Mccully Times. Grab and go sushi, bento, etc. There are also other vendors that deliver grab and go sushi, bentos, and also fresh mochi. Poke bar offers poke bowls or by pound, lots of variety. Daily plate lunch specials. Plates include a drink. Or order a side order. Like roast beef, roast pork, guava ribs, steak, garlic shrimp, Hawaiian plate. Shopping carts and baskets are sanitized, and wiped down for you by staff. I like the produce and fresh fish. Very convenient location. Free parking. No expiration date for rain checks. Retuns with receipt, within 14 days. Also, managers are always helpful.

They have your typical grocery items that you would find anywhere else, however what I think makes them extra special is all their ready-to-eat meals. They have some amazing hot meals for you to choose from, as well as family platters. However, they are very popular for their affordable poke which I think is stellar. Especially considering that you would probably pay 5x more at any restaurant in Waikiki. During my time in Oahu, we made multiple trips to this location and always made sure to get a pound of poke. We also got some of the Foodland chips, which paired great with their poke. Also, I highly recommend getting their Foodland card which can get you some discounts on your purchase.

But thanks to a staff member who offered to help, we secured the goods! And both my son and wife scored big-time. Not only did she help us locate our two essential products, but she also made some really good food recommendations for the future (as we were already stuffed from eating breakfast earlier). Overall, I was really impressed with my first time visiting. The grocery store is clean, well organized, and fully staffed! I went to the Money Services counter, where I was told the fee to cash my check would be $8, which I was fine with. The associate tried twice to cash my check, but both attempts were denied. She told me she couldn't do the transaction and went off to lunch. I tried getting someone else to help me but he stated he was an operator not a manager. So her co-worker explained to me that it wasn't an issue with my identification. At first, I thought it might have been because the address on my passport wasn't current, so I provided another form of identification along with a piece of mail showing my name and mailing address. Unfortunately, that didn't make a difference. The associate explained that it may have been because it was my first time cashing a check of that amount at Walmart and suggested that I go directly to my bank instead. While I appreciated the associate's efforts in explaining it to me, the experience was still extremely disappointing. I had planned to use the money to buy groceries, but since I couldn't access my funds, I had to return everything I had picked out and leave empty-handed. It was a frustrating and discouraging end to an already long workday. I understand that policies and verification systems are in place for security, but I wish there had been a clearer explanation or an alternative solution to make it right with me. I was so disappointed, I just deposited the check through my own Chase mobile banking. A bank I haven't used in over a year and a half since I moved to Hawai'i. To make matters worse, the employees started discussing my situation in the corner in Tagalog as if I wasn't right there. I wish people didn't do that. Speak in another language thinking other people don't understand you. I speak Visaya, English, and Tagalog by the way. I was born in the Philippines and understand the language... It was just a very discouraging encounter. I walked out of Walmart trying not to sob because after two weeks of waiting for a paycheck, and not being able to go to the bank with my work hours, it's been incredibly difficult to have money in my pocket. I was really counting on Walmart to take care of me today. So, reluctantly, I took a picture of my check instead and deposited it through my mobile phone and now I have to wait days for it to go through. What a rough day.

He knew what to look for, and he trusted this place. For him, it wasn't just about buying food... it was about getting the best for his family. My dad isn't the type to say "I love you." He shows it. One of the biggest ways he showed love was through his cooking. Even after a long day on his feet cooking for others, he would come home and cook for us. That was his way of taking care of us. I loved coming here with him. It was a five-senses overload--the smell of fresh seafood, the sound of people talking story, the colors of fish on display. Back then when you were allowed to sample a grape or poke to make sure it was good before buying. But more than that, it was time with him. I still remember the excitement I felt when I saw the pink building with the huge crab. I thought back then was to look at everything but now I understand that it meant something more..... something special--time with my dad. It's with a sad heart that Tamishiro Market is now closed. Thank you, Tamashiro, for providing quality food and memories for so many years. You were more than a market--you were part of my childhood

Goodbye to another Hawaii landmark! Tamashiro Market is closing its doors on April 30, 2026…read more FPO and I went the Sunday before for one last tour of the legendary fish market. It looked the same as it did the first time I went with my grandfather. I picked up a couple pounds of dry aku for my favorite sister and some tee shirts as memorabilia. It was pretty busy and I expect that will continue until They close. Still, the people were nice and very helpful. I'm really going to miss it!
