10/10. The line is long but the service is super quick. Hubby, my daughter and I got the Poké bowls and OMG. Amazing. Tasty and fresh. Definitely will be back before vaca is over and I highly recommend!!

Just like everyone has said - best poke! The widest selection of poke you can possibly imagine! Don't forget your shrimp chips :) I could eat this everyday and the perfect lunch to pickup on your way to the beach!

I know this is a grocery store but the poke here is amazing!!! The worker was so kind, she let me sample everything I was interested in and explained which ones were fresh / frozen. Both still tasted wonderful but definitely worth getting the fresh poke!!! Utensils available at the front, don't forget to grab a drink while you check out.

the line is relatively long and it's pretty packed. If you are in waikiki you need to get it. I got the looks by the pound and LOVED it. It was worth the wait. The fish is so fresh and seasoned to perfection! And you can get samples of you are unsure of which fish to get, but the lines are fast, so try to eye the menu and pick what you want fast.

Super clean store. I love how organized it is. Most supermarkets feel chaotic but this store was actually peaceful and pleasant. They have a great selection of fresh seafood. Everything is organized. I really enjoyed shopping. Staff was friendly and helpful!

The poke here is good for the price! You get a ticket in the back and wait for your number. I got spicy salmon, fresh salmon, and one of the ahi poke. The worker was friendly and gave me input on what to get. This grocery store was a little busy. We got several snacks. I was sad I could not find the pineapple gummies here. Was hoping to buy them here rather than an ABC store.

Stopped by Foodland and picked up a half-pound of limu ahi poke, and it absolutely hit the spot. The ticketed counter went by fast, so it's always a nice spot to stop by especially when in a rush. The poke tasted incredibly fresh, with nice big chunks of ahi and just the right amount of saltiness from the limu. Simple, clean flavors done right, exactly what you want from good poke. Would definitely get this flavor again and honestly a must have at the beach!

The poke here is soo fresh and there's so many options! It's quite packed but ordering is quick - you get an order number. You can try a few prior to picking but try to plan ahead so you have an idea of what you want when they call your number. I really loved the spicy ahi tuna - it was so flavorful and delicious!! The wasabi tuna was also yummy. It wasn't fishy at all. It's located in a grocery mart so there's a lot of drink options too.

The poke alone makes this a 5 star establishment. I love all the fresh items available.

Nice grocery store, when I arrive it was not too packed. The main thing I went for was for the poke and wow it was so smooth and packed with flavor! They have multiple flavors, and when paying our cashier asked me to put my number in and I got the store discounts so that was nice.

Foodland poke is hands down the best poke for the price. I'd even argue that it could be the best pork regardless of price. They have over 10 different flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is the spicy mayo ahi because of how creamy it is. The fish melts when you eat it. Every other poke spot in Hawaii will typically range anywhere from 20-40 dollars per pound, so coming here will be 10-15 dollars a pound, which is much more affordable.

This Foodland is very much a cross between Safeway and Sprouts/Whole Foods if you're from California based on the products and layout. They have a great deal on the best coconut water I've ever had (Foodland brand coconut water with pulp, better than fresh imo) for $1.50 each if you buy two. My salmon shoyu poke was $12, a little too salty and there wasn't enough rice. My brother got half and half salmon and ahi, was happy that he got very large scoops, and then had to double-take at the $20 price. The workers didn't say anything beforehand, but according to him they gave him too much fish so there's nothing to complain about. Onto the negatives, the breadfruit they had was very moldy, and there was once a dog right at the poke counter sniffing all the ready made containers.

TLDR: 4.7 some of the best and freshest poke I've ever had. I don't usually like tuna poke but this was crazy good. Mid onigiri. This place came highly recommended by friends and Reddit threads alike. Located inside a grocery store with a large selection of flavors. They use a ticketing system so you can grab a number and look at the selection without having to wait in a line. Very generous with samples as well, the lady behind the counter gave me 4 samples without me even asking, she just heard me talking to my wife about what flavors looked good. Ended up getting Hawaiian style salmon and ahi. Best ahi poke I've had in America, super clean bite, just very flavorful and fresh tasting. Same was true with salmon which I generally prefer but the tuna might've been better here. Don't bother with the salmon kombu onigiri it was very dry and lacking in flavor. They give you chopsticks at checkout and there's a little area you can sit and eat near the entrance of foodland. Did end up at around 22 dollars which is a bit pricy, but I felt like it was worth the quality. I split it with my wife and we left fairly satisfied.

I'm only rating it 3 stars because traffic and parking are terrible and it's so crowded in the store. But I did get their Kara-oke chicken with miso shoyu (?) sauce. It was crispy and plentiful but I wouldn't describe it as delicious or craveable so I wouldn't order it again when I go back to get my asato's.

There were so many delicious options OUTSIDE the store that I almost never made it in. Don Q is such a fun store because they have anything and everything you can think of across nearly every category. If I said they're like the Japanese Walmart, it wouldn't hit quite right because the quality and breadth of the selections here are far better. My favorite part of visiting Don Q has to be the incredible array of Asian specialty ingredients and snacks they sell and the reasonable prices. I picked up some gifts here including some exceptional styles of furikake and togarashi, but saw way too many other things I wanted. They also have amazing prepared foods here, specifically Japanese items. We picked up a half-pound of Hawaiian-style spicy poke, which was super fresh with a nice kick of heat, and it paired perfectly with the furikake wonton chips we already had. We also grabbed a sushi tempura roll and were surprised by how good it was since we saved it for the next day for an early morning snorkel sesh: it was fresh, crispy, and filled with big chunks of shrimp, easily better than what some sit-down restaurants serve. The crispy Japanese sweet potato drizzled with a bit of honey was incredibly comforting and homey, and a nice balance of sweet and savory. We also tried the chicken katsu, which had a light, crisp breading and came with fluffy white rice topped with furikake. The side potato salad was refreshing with nice, chunky pieces of potato and not overly heavy. Perfect spot to grab quality food quickly before heading out to do other day-long activities. And even after we moved, we would still drive out just to come here for the seafood. That's how special it was to us. He knew what to look for, and he trusted this place. For him, it wasn't just about buying food... it was about getting the best for his family. My dad isn't the type to say "I love you." He shows it. One of the biggest ways he showed love was through his cooking. Even after a long day on his feet cooking for others, he would come home and cook for us. That was his way of taking care of us. I loved coming here with him. It was a five-senses overload--the smell of fresh seafood, the sound of people talking story, the colors of fish on display.
