A very enthusiastic start, but in the end, such an endless disappointment We live in Singapore and wanted to buy a leather sofa that would last a long time in great shape under the tropical climate. According to the seller, there was no problem with the sofa we purchased. However, regardless of the maintenance, wax, oils and other products that we tested to maintain the leather, it started to deteriorate after less than 2 years. After only 5 years, our sofa simply put us to shame. We were searching for a tufted seat Chesterfield and they were one of the very rare people who had one in stock for us to test out. Savanah was super friendly when we inquired on the phone and confirmed they had one for us to test. We mistakenly thought they could customize the depth and other dimensions--this was not the case. Despite their inability to do this, the leathers and sample Chesterfield they had was phenomenal, as was the customer service, e.g. we were greeted warmly, offered water or tea ... btw., they have unique pieces I'd never seen anywhere such as a "saddle" chair of incredibly high quality and workmanship. We would've bought and ordered something today if only they customize. But the regular depth, even with cushions, wouldn't have worked, given I'm very petite. We readily found street parking across the street from their shop, which is in the designer alley of interior design in S.F. it's a bit of a trek to get there, but wqell worth your while, especially if you're able to wait a couple of months for your piece to arrive and need only minimal customization. read more

This is the most divine lifestyle space ever ! Every direction one looks there is something unique, quirky, exquisite or a combination ! And, the staff is fabulous, welcoming and informative. I met Luke & Brian who were gracious & welcoming without being obtrusive - allowing me to take in the sublime surroundings. I then met Brett - the brand's ambassador - who was so chic and interesting that I spent an hour learning about Timothy Oulton home, various stores around the world and much more. Brett introduced me to beautiful furnishings including the Timothy Oulton leather covered refrigerator filled with Evian and Veuve Clicquot. Although the furniture is beautiful my experience with purchasing a sofa was riddled with broken promises and no follow up. I purchased a couch that was in stock and promised delivery within 4 days. Now 4 weeks later the sofa is still not delivered and I am told will be at least another week. The burden of follow up has been on me more that 11 times. It is really such a shame. I so love their product but I would not wish the delivery process on anyone. read more

The desk that I got, I love. However, the sofa I bought was one of the worse of my life. Yes, the material is nice but don't bother thinking that for the price paid, it would be comfortable. I hugely regret ever walking into their shop. They have changed the cushions once already but to no avail. If you plan on actually sitting on your sofa and being supported, look elsewhere. After 30 minutes all of the support is gone and it feels as if you are sitting on a wooden plank. read more

At HD Buttercup, I felt like I was a kid again in a candy shop when I stumbled upon Timothy Oulton furniture. Tea, danishes, pastries, whipped butter, and jam lined a lavish dining table that only a queen could dream of... After stuffing my face and muttering a "Don`t mind if I do.", I realized something. His furniture pieces are dark, mysterious, moody, gothic, artistic, and modern while reminiscent of the past. Collecting his furniture is definitely an aspiration of mine. Until then, I`ll just dream of the lovely furniture in my future gothic mansion. read more

We placed an order in November 2020, it has passed a very long time and we have not received the goods. We have followed up with them so many times and customer service experience has been very poor: they were unable to inform where the goods were at and they provided wrong ETA. We informed them that we would like to cancel this order so we get a full refund. We have not heard from them since last week. This is very frustrating. read more

Great product... insanely poorly run business. I ordered my sofa from this store, I had to wait months for it to finally arrive... in the meantime, I got no updates from the company and had to call them myself frequently to get updates... when I would call, they would give me a date of when my sofa was to arrive in their facilities from overseas. They changed the date on me upwards of 6 times - ruining my plans. Finally, my sofa arrives. They literally contacted me the evening before the delivery day to say they were coming from 11-1pm the next day. They arrived an hour later than the window they'd provided, at 2pm. When they arrived they had ONLY ONE piece of my 4 piece sectional... the delivery guy casually saying, "ya, it's kind of weird... we only have one of the pieces but it says here you ordered 4? Sorry... must have made a mistake." I stayed home from work for an entire day only to be faced with more unprofessional handling of my order. I'm absolutely disgusted with how these people run their business. You may be better off saving yourself the headache, getting a cheaper sofa from elsewhere rather than dealing with these people. This has been an absolute nightmare. To add insult to injury, the sales person, Michael (mj), was uncommunicative and full of sass throughout the whole process. When my sofa had not arrived I told him I needed updates, he did not call me once, I had to call the store multiple times and speak with another sales person, Luke, to get updates. You would think for the premium you're paying you'd get better service... all I got was mistakes, excuses, headaches and attitude. Purchase from here at your own risk. read more

I really like their style. Order a sectional couch, which is scheduled to arrive on time. However, trying to schedule the delivery has been a nightmare. I was quoted one price initially, only to find out it was going to cost me 50% more. I hate when people do that. I am arranging my own pickup. read more

Brian May is a scholar and a gent. I've been buying from this store since 2016. When I had a lamp's dimmer conk out on me, they sent a tech to fix it the next day. When they couldn't repair/replace the dimmer, they replaced the lamp altogether. Might not seem like a big deal, but that's one example of the many times Brian took care of business for me. Most recently, Luke at the store took care of me. He was an incredibly accommodating gent as well. Honestly, he went above and beyond what you'd expect most anywhere else and did it all with pleasure and a genuine smile. Props to Rashida and Michael who I've enjoyed working with as well. Love the products, love the people. Can't say enough about my experiences at this store. read more

Beautiful stuff but terrible terrible manager... Javier is his name. We wanted to buy a chair. Not in stock. Will be in within the week. Took our name to call us when it arrived. Called, it arrived. One day later, suddenly there was a problem and no chair. My guess... he sold it to someone else. We still wanted a chair. Now it will take 3 weeks, but we were on vacation, so said we'd pick it up when we got back. Called upon return. No chair. Now it will take 12 weeks (?!) and he wants to be paid. Really, pay for the chair and then wait 12 weeks and then maybe it will never come, just like the last time? This guy is not to be trusted, terrible sales skills and makes me think the company is ready to go bankrupt since they are so hungry for money. Definitely going elsewhere. Be warned. read more

Went all the way through HD Buttercup, searching for the pulse...for a piece demanding to be taken home...nothing...until we got to the very last showroom and there it was..the Timothy Oulton showroom...full of originality and taking us back to the 70s and forward at the same time! From jets to libraries! From ships to studies. This was it! Beds made by hand with cashmere and horse hair and sectionals dripping in the thickest hides...that you could fall into and feel you'd come home! The sales staff here is knowledgeable and helpful and knows how to hold your hand or leave you alone.
