Cute Irish pub. The decor gives off Italian restaurant vibes though. Only came here for drinks but the service was prompt and everyone was friendly. We had a group of 12 at Timothy's for lunch. The restaurant was empty. The food was absolutely awful across the board. Not one person could finish their meal. One person had a salmon cake sandwich which required a steak knife (without the roll) to cut. Fortunately, the waiter took the meal off the bill due to the obvious quality. Burgers had an awful taste. One burger came out ice cold and red in the middle. Too bad, this used to be a nice place. read more

Personable and pleasant staff with great food! Timothy's is tucked away to give you a prime waterfront view. The short walk from the parking lot is worth it because the food is a good solid fare at a decent price. Jody was our server and she gave us honest reviews and recommendations. Crab dip is very heavy and salty. The salmon salad was not what I had visioned. Blackened salmon was not blackened and it had a dusting of seasoning on it. Meh, there are way better restaurants within the area. Attended a private party at this restaurant, and I was not impressed. The service was horrible and the food was overcooked and tasteless. 1. The waiter was inexperienced and was also waiting additional tables outside the private party. *I was later was told the waiter was new (okay if that's true then train him). I understand there is a labor shortage; however, if that's the case, and this is your business as an owner or shift manager it would have been more professional to assign a senior waiter or wait the private party yourself. 2. The food was BLAND. For some reason I was stuck on the children side of the table and all of them complained about their food. My daughter and I had the steak option medium (cooked well-done), my niece had the chicken Alfredo (flavorless; though she later said it was not bad as reheated leftovers), and my other niece & son had cheese burgers (overcooked). I'm not sure about the rest of the party's food, but that's 0 for 3 in our section. 3. If you are stuck here for a party, like I was; I would recommend the Mango Lemonade and the Crab & Shrimp Flatbread. Both were surprisingly good; though, if I knew my main entrée was going to be unenthusiastic I would have had more of the flatbread. *Message for Management. I went on a Monday evening which is the slowest day of the week. The waitress recommended the Strawberry/Flat bread with prosciutto. The bread was so disgustingly sweet. I complained to the waitress who apologized but didn't offer to do anything about it like take it back and replace it with something. I ordered chicken wings so I could eat something and pointed to it on the Happy Hour menu. The waitress asked if I wanted it with bones or without so I ordered with bones; the wings were so over cooked to the point that it was dry, like jerky (can you believe it, dry chicken wings!!) I was with company so I only had two wings and didn't complain thinking that it was cheap since it's Happy Hour. Once I went home, I noticed that the disgustingly sweet Flat bread was $19!! There was barely any prosciutto; we actually had to search for it. The wings were at full price (not Happy Hour prices) because I said that I preferred with bone versus boneless when the waitress asked which way I preferred the wings. Again, it was DRY DRY DRY!!! I called Brandon, the manager, and he asked what would I want him to do about about it and that it was too late and seemed annoyed that I suggested that he tell the waitress to point out that the boneless was for Happy Hour. He only argued with me that it was on the menu so I sarcastically apologized and said yes, it's the customers fault. I didn't care about being charged a bit more for an Monday evening out but the food and decor (old dirty and tired looking) plus, the manager's attitude was terrible. I have never written a complaint on Yelp before so this is above and beyond. Stay far away from this place. Based on the many other reviews that I am reading on Yelp, Timothy's is in a downward spiral. Walk a little further down and go to Iron Hill or Taco Grande. read more

Wow, this place really jumped the shark and it kept going! I used to hit this place for many happy hours after work, but I have not been there in months. There wasn't much good about the entire experience, which is a bummer. The crazy part, we like the Timothy's in Newark, but the one in Wilmington almost seems like a different company - food and beer options are really different. Multiple issues will stop us from going back to the one in Wilmington: * The service was not good and the server seemed to not have a clue what was available * The server wasn't very nice and was VERY slow, even when the place was empty * The food was not good - see the picture of the hummus - it didn't taste that good and looked like pudding vs. hummus. The picture shows after we were done with it, no one wanted to get near it. * The bar used to have some good beers - well that changed too - items they are known for, they don't carry anymore and beers on the actual menu are out of stock * It's a bit of a pain to find the place now that the parking lot they used is becoming a new building - so we had to wonder are they giving up ? read more

Was excited to eat inside a restaurant again, and recalled having decent meals here in the past. Not sure if there's been a change in ownership or new cooks, but the food was horrible. Everything was bland. Upon asking for one of the margaritas, I was informed they didn't have any top shelf liquor available. I've never heard of that ever at any establishment. The waiter didn't bother to ask if I'd like salt or sugar on the rim, and it came without either. Poorly mixed. Ordered another drink hoping it would be better, and same thing: poorly mixed with low-quality ingredients (the orange juice was clearly a cheap concentrate, more like Hi-C). We were a group of 8 that dined for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The sign on the door asked for patience with staff shortages but we didn't notice any shortage or delays. Our food was cooked in a timely manner and delivered to the table piping hot. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our server cared about our group and getting our orders right. She was a delight. Timothy's always had the best wings, I like the Jamaican jerk rub. But this time I couldn't believe all the feathers on two of my wings turned my stomach. Don't they check the food before giving it to their customers? I also was disappointed when I went to pick up my order and two of the wait staff did not have on face mask, one was in the back with the food. I will not be returning. Timothy's is an old favorite of mine. I was out along the waterfront and stopped in to get a bite. The list of beers on tap was extensive and the variety was very nice. I ordered the skillet fries & they were topped with a lot of fresh crab meat, old bay, mozzarella and remoulade sauce. It smelled amazing and it was delicious! It was enough for a few people. My friend ordered the nachos and it was a 3 layers of multi colored chips, cheese, beans, lettuce, tomatoes & olives. The chili it came with was on the side and was fantastic! Then the fresh turkey burger came out and we ended up full and happy with a lot of leftovers to go. Our server was a sweetheart and the place was busy with parties of all kinds. The Impossible Burger is listed on their menu, but after ordering it seemed as if something was off, we asked our waitress and she said it was not the coveted "Impossible Burger" that is well known throughout the US, instead it is a veggie burger that happens to be named the same. I was very disappointed in this place. Looks inviting from the outside but they dont know what their theme is on the inside, you got rustic, British decor, italian decor, mexican decor i'm just very confused. Also the food was not great either. I ordered the brisket sandwich, bun wasn't toasted, was cold and soggy from the brisket. It was suppose to come with coleslaw and i got maybe 4 pieces of lettuce it was so sad. The brisket was good from what I could eat of it since 60% of it was pieces of fat. Ordered a side of mixed veggies and they came out barely warm. My boyfriends tacos were luke warm and smothered in pickled onions to the point it was almost inedible and the Beer was almost flat. Im not sure where all the hype comes from, this place is not good at all and will not be returning or recommending this place. read more

I came here for a work event, there were about 60-70 of us there. This was our first time using this venue. We had our own private bar with limited beers, spirits, and wines, and had a whole room to ourselves. The experience at the bar was fantastic. The bar tender was very courteous and had a sense of humor. He seemed to know our exact schedule of events and there was no issue with us waiting long for drinks/food. For apps we had mac and cheese bites and fried shrimp. Both were amazing, I went back for thirds. I would come back here just for that (if it is on the menu). We were served a salad with a warm roll. The roll was very good- warm and fluffy. For the main course we had a buffet of vegetable stuffed ravioli, bourbon salmon, and chicken piccata, with veggies and rice. We ran out of ravioli at one point, and the bartender was quick to get us a refill. I was stuffed from the apps, but still tried all of the items above. The ravioli was good- it came in a rose sauce. The chicken was much better than I expected, and the salmon was a little dry. Considering this is mass produced generic food, I was not disappointed. This is still way better than our previous location for work events. Since Timothy's is on the waterfront, I would come back for the ambiance for another visit. read more

Decided to come here instead of drop squad and it was the best experience we've had on the waterfront. Much better than the rude, always closed drop squad. Who is closed on a Saturday at 1 pm while entire staff is inside but the doors locked. So we came to Timothy's. We got seated with a server named Matt. Made the experience that much better. Very good attitude. Made up for the rudeness of drop squad. Our food came out quick (burgers). Cooked good. Some of the guests were quite rude to the staff. I was surprised they kept their cool but they did. But next time we come in. We will be back and request Matt to be our server again. He made the experience that much better. read more

My vodka tonic was served in a 6-ounce glass, $10. Couldn't taste the vodka. All of the servers very new, untrained. No organization, we had two different servers approach our table to take our order. Food just thrown on a plate, barely living up to the menu description. French onion soup, salads, nachos, chili..all just bad. This place relies on precooked, steam in a bag food, but honestly, they should just go full on Applebee's and do the whole menu that way, it would be better than that excuse for "cooking". Hands down the worst customer service ever. I used to rave about Timothy's and their event hall. Sadly, they have ruined that for me. My niece had her prom at Timothy's Banquet Hall this past Friday night. A server spilled a plate of hot wings and hot sauce down the back of my niece's prom dress. I called Timothy's, and spoke with the Banquet Manager, (Heather). I requested that they reimburse of for the dry cleaning expense. She informed me she had to clear that with her manager and she would call me by end of day. Two days later, I call her back for an answer. She had an employee return my call a few minutes ago with a message that the manager does not feel it is their responsibility to pay for the dry cleaning. I personally have worked in food and beverage, I have even spilled something on a guest a time or two. The difference is....my manager instantly resolved the issue and accommodated the guest. Let me also point out that neither manager had the courtesy to call me back. Timothy's has lost my business because of one reason....lack of customer service. read more

Great place, we will definitely return! My boyfriend and I decided to eat here when we were visiting the area, and it did not disappoint. We shared one of the appetizers of skillet fries, which were pretty amazing, as well as the Salmon salad, and the crab cake sandwich the boy had.
