When I asked what would happen if the repair only took 10 minutes, I was told the company charges flat-rate pricing regardless of how long the work takes, although he could contact his supervisor to see if the price could be reduced. Afterward, I went to Home Depot, purchased a pipe extractor kit for less than $15, and removed the broken pipe threads myself in under 10 minutes. He said the AC would not work because my air filter was dirty. I assume he said this since he was telling the teenager that was the cause. I responded back to him that an AC would not stop working because of a dirty filter it might slow it's ability to cool as well but it definitely would not stop my AC from coming on. We knew the air filter was dirty so we went ahead and replaced it vacuum the whole thing out and imagine that the AC still does not work! I contacted him several times with no response I called First American again to find he had released himself from the job because he was apparently too busy I would say too lazy!!
