Been here several times with friends and the food is no doubt good, but as most Mongolian stir-fry places go, it's a set price (which is usually pricey) with you being limited to a single bowl that you need to find creative ways to load as much as you can. As a vegan, it was great to see options for sauces and selection of vegetables, noodles and veggie meat and the flat bread that you can request for along with rice. One thing that stands out about this place is that they have a large variety of sauces which I think is amazing! Customers were lined up with no social distancing at create ur own counter food being slung everywhere. Food was cold before getting to the table. The service is excellent, it's a hibachi style restaurant. There's an extensive selection of vegetables to choose from and the house made sauces are delicious. The employees are really good at suggesting sauce combinations to make it even better. They offer vegetarian proteins, chicken, beef and fish. Variety of noodles, and your choice of veggies. There are plenty of sauces you can sample before adding it to your food. The flat bread is delicious, a warm, buttery treat. It's a must! They do offer a variety of cocktails and alcohol beverages. The food is cooked within minutes on a flat top. It's very tasty! Prices were reasonable, I went during lunch time and it was about $11. Wait staff served us well. My only complaint is the parking isn't the best. And it is a small place, not sure if I would come during busy hours. Overall: it's a fun little place if you want to try something new with Asian flare. read more

When I get the bowl of steaming hot food slathered in sauce, I smile. But my smile fades at the terrible service, the high prices, and unsanitary conditions. When I've been here four times because it is quite healthy. Each chance I give it, I have gotten food poisoning; having travelled to many places and tried many foods including a lot of street food, I'm not one to always get sick from food. From the sticky seats and the flies here in the summer, I know that it's definitely not the cleanest place. As I sit here in pain, I don't think I will return again. read more

I had called to ask but the person I talked to didn't know when they would be closed. I would recommend eating here. The service was outstanding. You basically select your vegetables, sauce and any meat you'd like, then they cook it for you and bring it to the table. What was not impressive was that the bar was completely not being maintained: 1. Nearly all of the veggies containers to choose from were empty. Had to ask them to fill them. 2. I have been a fan of Tim's Too since they opened. I like healthy food that is heavy on the vegetables whenever possible, so being able to create my own stir fry that reflects my sensibilities is very attractive, and I have never been disappointed in the combinations that I have created. The vegetables are also always perfectly cooked, and I am picky about that. As a former vegetarian, I still frequently like to explore vegetarian options, and they have a good selection of vegetarian proteins. I really like the the mock duck. Additionally, their array of flavorful sauces is impressive. I have never gone there for dinner, only lunch, so the noisy, crowded environment does not bother me in that context. Today, I actually took the opportunity to sit at the bistro tables outside and that was a nice option on a breezy, warm summer day. Best Mongolian stir fry I have ever tasted! Tim's has a good selection of veggies, meat and sauces and lets you put your concoction on a salad or in a wrap amongst other options. From the time we got in the line to choose our dish to the end of our dining experience all of us a party of 10 started to think awww it already looks to be the wrong choice. This one's a borderline 3/4 stars, but I'll grade down mostly for service and environmental issues. I had the Mongolian BBQ (put-the-ingredients-together-yourself-and-hand-it-off-to-a-grill-cook stir fry), and it was really good. They had about 30 or so vegies, about 20 different sauces, and about a dozen meats. Along with that, they serve it with an... umm... Asian tortilla? I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it was pretty tasty as a side item for the stir fry. I would recommend the sauce I got, but to be honest, I don't remember exactly what it was (I think it was something like Ponzu). I did mix in a little of the spicier diablo sauce too. Great flavor. On food alone, this place is a solid 4. However, these reviews are not based on food alone. The service was just OK. My server was nice, but unattentive. The hostess was very nice... The grill cook was very nice... but I was just put off a bit by my server. As William mentioned, the place also has some environmental problems. Simply for the type of place it is, it is going to have a lot of smoke/steam/heat from the grill area. Most Mongolian BBQs I've been to have had ridiculous ventillation systems to get all of that mess out of the restaurant. This one was either non-existent, non-operational, or just plain sucked. The place was stuffy and hot. I can't imagine what it must be like with a group of 8 in August... oh wait, William covered that. Bottom line: great food, but don't plan on being wowed by the rest of the package. read more
