He took the time to recut a master key to open glove box and trunk. But programming failed with the keys I brought in. Sadden, and felt defeated! He used his USA made keys and made me a set and said, "Take Care, old friend! See you next time" He just chatted me for initial program and cut fee! He gave me an extra master steel key and didn't charge me to the cutting of the Amazon . Now I have extra door keys ! After 10 years my 4Runner 5th gen keyfob's circuit board finally died. I looked at dealership (aka "stealership") average to cut and reprogram and saw that it was about $600-700 for one key. Yeah no thanks - don't ever buy from them for those. My online research on several 4R forums and Reddit for reprogramming in OC area for this key fob showed Tin Locksmith was mentioned multiple times. I overall believe this is a great locksmith business since Tin is very quick and kind since he told that other places are more expensive than the keys he gives. The value in the keys last very long and no rust he has many locks and many mor things that attaches to the key like a cover or something else. I took a Honda Civic ignition cylinder that froze up and would no longer turn with the original key. Even though only 1 person was working at the shop and was extremely busy. He was able to set a few minutes aside to get the cylinder repaired and make a new key. He was also able to program the key. read more

Went in a few weeks ago to get a couple copies of a key made. As soon as I got there i walked in and there were two men at the counter. Neither were busy or doing anything. Both of them ignored me until I asked them for help. I gave one of the men the key to copy and he didn't seem that knowledgeable with trying to find the blank i needed so he was asking the other man for help. The other man didn't care to help, and as soon as the next customer walked in for a more expensive key copy the other man was all in on helping him. Because of this the man who helped me who didn't seem as knowledgeable handed me back the key and said sorry. Basically conveying to me that neither of them would help me. They spent little to no time helping me, and seem like they didn't even care to put the effort in. Ive never gone somewhere for something as simple as a key copy and been told sorry we don't have it, when they didn't even look. It felt my purchase wasn't worth their time and thats just horrible customer service. I will never go back to Tin Locksmiths again because of this and don't recommend anyone to! The next locksmith i visited down the street was attentive and very helpful, and gave me my copied key within minutes. I love coming here for key copies. I have been going to him since he was off Euclid n Westminster. For 10 years he's been doing all my house keys and car keys as well. I went to Home Depot to get a copy of my Schlage keys and they didn't work. Home Depot is always off w harder keys. And it was more expensive.
