My boss locked himself out of his office and needed to get back in ASAP. I called a couple places and 24/5 was the only one that could come super fast - as in 20 minutes. I asked for a quote over the phone and was told they only quote in person. Mike did arrive in about 25 minutes and took a look at the lock. We have some sort of fancy digital lock, but it had gone offline, it wasn't accepting the code/fingerprint, we couldn't unlock it with our phones, and unfortunately, the physical key that can be used in an emergency such as this, was in the office that we were locked out of. Mike said this wasn't a "typical American lock" and none of the tools he had would be able to pick it. He told us it would be $389 and he might possibly damage the door. My boss gave the OK and told him to please be as careful as possible. Maybe 20 minutes later he announces that whatever he did, didn't work, and he now needed to drill into the lock and basically break it apart to get it open. Then he said that would be an additional $200. My boss debated with him over this,"You said $389 and you would get it open, you haven't opened anything, now you need another $200 to get it open?" Mike said yes, that he "can't sit here all day and do work for free." He assured him he would get it open, so we proceeded since we already owed him $389, it's not like we were going to call anybody else out. He completely destroyed the lock, luckily didn't damage the door at all. He was here 75 minutes, which breaks down to the insane price of $471 a hour!! Happy we are back in that office, but this place did seem like a total rip off to us. read more

The young lady was very helpful and the tech called me right away! I did ask how much everything was going to cost, or at least a heads up so I wouldn't spend an arm and leg. The young lady did just tell me the service call fee but nothing else... that's not very helpful at all... it would of been very helpful if we had a breakdown cost. Even if you don't use their service, you have to pay the service fee! The younger guy made it out as the service call is $29.00 bucks alone. He did quote us about $79-$95 dollars that it would possibly cost! So that was kinda pricey for us as we just had our key stuck in the garage door! We just needed the key to come out so I didn't think I would be paying $145.00 for a locksmith. He did quote us at first that it'd be like 75 bucks for just the LABOR! He said it might not even be possible! I used them as the reviews were great on GOOGLE and they seemed affordable. If I had known what it would of cost me, I would of went elsewhere. I mean it took about maybe 10-12 minutes to get it fixed and $85 bucks for labor just seems ridiculous to me! I don't know how hard it is but if it takes you less then 15 minutes, then it must of been easier then you thought! Or you're just that good! Thank you guys again for the help, but maybe disclose cost upfront! Some of us don't have the extra cash to give up that quickly for a simple issue. Arrived 30 minutes late with no tool box just a bunch of stuff haphazardly in his hands as he runs to my door making another phone call. He takes another phone call while mumbeling a number I can't think is real. I was told 29 service call fee and then the labor. Dude mumbles 129 to pick the front door lock. I accept thinking I heard wrong dude proceeds to not know how to pick a lock. Shoves an inflatable in my door bends the door frame and opens the door and proclaims " I did great job barely damaged door 149". I ask wtf u bent my door frame "look man is good job if you want discount give me 5 star review and we can talk discount man " At this point I accept that I'm going to get screwed out of 150 so hopefully others don't. He kept trying to take the price down for a good review cuz he doesn't want me to feel like I was cheated but let's be honest it's about the reviews. That's why you see hundreds of fake ones on Google saying the same things. I don't even think this guy is a locksmith to be honest , and it can't be working great because he couldn't get his phone to open up the PDF he kept trying to show me about Google forcing him to charge 3 times as much as any other lock smith. Thank you Levy for the great service. I got locked out again on Sunday evening, not a lot of companies were open and I'm so glad Levy was able to come. He showed fast open my door at a reasonable price. Service not worth paying for. Your better off breaking the lock yourself. late damaged tube lock to open it, he put a drill through it . i could have done that myself for free!!!!!! and to top it off no change no refund for crap service the whole reason I tried to find a pro was so I would not damage the lock. way too expensive charged $95 paid $100 since they didn't have change and the service sucked. If u need something and are thinking of calling these guys let me tell u ur better off braking open the lock for free at home than to call these ppl and have them charge u so they can break it. My mom locked herself out of her condo today. I yelped to find her a local locksmith. Overall I liked that 24/5 Service was open on a Sunday, showed up in reasonable time and lady I spoke to on phone was professional. I took 2 stars off this review as I felt for them to charge $29.99 for trip charge and then another $95 to unlock her metal screen door that has a basic lock on it was pricey. The door is a basic Home Depot metal screen door so I know the lock isn't that intricate. The technician did give a discount off the $124.99 total for paying cash. I would use them again, but hopefully won't have to. LOL read more
