Called ahead to make appointment for 5 minutes later and the male who works there was very upfront and let me know that I needed to be there soon in order to get a pedicure at the same time as my man! I stopped here on a whim as the salon I typically go to is on the other side of the river. Was not disappointed! I came early (10am) so they weren't busy. I had a manicure and the deluxe pedicure. They performed both services at the same time, but they actually asked if that was okay (most other places just assume and go ahead). I didn't get names, but the gentleman that did my pedi was extremely polite and through & the same applies to the woman who did my mani. I'm so glad I took the chance and stopped. I wish this salon was in Baton Rouge so it could be my regular salon. The nail techs were super nice plus I got the best shellac manicure I've ever received! Usually shellac will last me at the very most 5 days before starting to chip... I've tried countless places & even have my regular nail tech work to keep it lasting longer, to no avail. I usually have to go in for a touch up on a few nails by the end of week 1. BUT this place!!! My shellac lasted a SOLID 2 WEEKS WITHOUT CHIPPING. This place is your stereotypical nail salon. Too much talking in their language and no customer service at all. They treat you like a ticket instead of a person. The tech asked me what color polish I wanted, and I said French. Well, I had 1 broken nail, which I was aware of when asking for the color. She proceeds to speak in Vietnamese saying why would I want French if I only have some nails. She couldn't understand. First of all, I'm paying for it, she should just do as I requested, or she could have suggested to me kindly that it may look better to pick a color. The whole time, the tech looks like I interrupted her day and that I am inconveniencing her. I end up asking her to just give me a "regular" color to get out of there faster. She hasn't looked up at me once to realize there might be a chance that I am also Vietnamese and could understand her every word. She over cuts my cuticles and leaves gel polish on my skin. When we go to check out, I kindly tell her in Vietnamese she should try to be more careful on her work because she hurt me and her professional attitude wasn't nice because I understood her every word and that I would no longer be returning. read more

Have stopped in twice without an appointment on a weekend for dip nails. Both times I have received a friendly welcome and was quickly accommodated. My nails looks great - and I am not a fan of manicures because they never last on me. Dip nails I love - they last for 2 - 3 weeks with no chipping at all. I had a gel manicure done on Friday and all seemed OK, but on Monday I noticed the gel polish on one of my nails began to lift and was told to come in and have it fixed. I went in on Monday and had it fixed, and again all seemed OK, but it began lifting again on Tuesday. Not sure what's happening but I've never had a gel manicure only last 3 days. Look through Yelp to see what place were open on Sunday and this place seemed to be promising. Once upon arrival, it was a thirty minute wait which was fine due to not many placing in New Orleans being open on a Sunday. There were only two workers at the moment but by the time my mother and I sat in the pedicure chair another woman arrived. Tina took care of my pedi and meni and I must say she did an excellent job. The deluxe pedicure was $40 including a great massage, wax, and hot stones. I thought this was a great price seeing I'm use to NY and Mia prices. Mani was $20 and she left my legs and arms feeling so refreshed. It was an extra $5 for French tip design total for both hands and feet and they offer the quick dry drops for $1. The employees are friendly however the service is horrible. This was my first and last time going to this spa. The first day the paint would not dry, the tech burned my foot by not checking to see how hot the wax was before placing it on my foot. I had to return the following day for a repaint and it still would not dry. I don't know the products being used but after two attempts and the same results no need to return for a third error. read more

This was my second visit to this spa, so I thought my experience would be the same; i.e., pleasant, clean and thorough. However, this experience was the complete opposite. When I arrived I told them I wanted a mani and pedi but I asked in the beginning could they also do an overlay, since not all nail salons perform that service. The guy who works there said yes so I signed in and waited to be serviced. A lady proceeds to start working on removing my polish on my feet and I mentioned again about the overlay and the nails that needed to be refilled. She then says that the guy will do it for you but she's just getting me "ready". I also mentioned that I had gel polish that needed to be removed so she applied the remover and foil to my nails so they could sit and be ready to come off when she starts my manicure. She starts working on my feet and basically starts giving me a complete pedi but the guy never came at any point to do my overlay because he was with other patrons. When she clipped my cuticles she barely clipped my nail beds and the massage and callous removal was just as poor. Once she finished my pedi I told her about the cuticles looking like they weren't touch and when she redid one toe, I was not surprised a ton of skin came off this time. Since I was already disappointed with the lack of effort and the guy still had not come over to do my overlay, I simply told her that she could stop, and just charge me for the services rendered. I was disappointed because he made it seem like everyone in the salon does an overlay but in fact he only does it. Lastly, when I asked him the price he said $45 which I astonished. I asked him how and he said it's for the pedi which was not even finished, no polish and he said he would finish everything including clipping my cuticles which he acknowledged was not done properly. If the pedi was complete, why would he over to fix everything including cuticles, polish and overlay. I was already there for an hour and was not about to stay for possibly another hour for him to fix my nails. I also mentioned that he neglected to tell me that he was the only person who does overlays. I ended up paying $35 after going back and forth which will end up costing me more when I go to another salon to fix everything. Maybe today was an off day but regardless I will not be back. I'm big on customer service and just doing the right thing and unfortunately they missed it today. read more
