The Tin Tulip is a cute tearoom in an antique mall. The servers are really kind and gave great recommendations for tea. We got the high tea which is a pretty good value for a whole pot of tea and assortments of tea sandwiches, scones, and fruit. The clotted cream was amazing and the scones were really good with it. The cucumber sandwiches were great but one of the sandwiches was a sweet chicken type sandwich that was too weird of a mix of sweet and savory. Incredibly slow service, but come here for the scones and clotted cream! This is the only place around that I've seen have clotted cream (how authentic/homemade it was, I can't say) and it was delicious. They also had a large selection of hot and iced teas, and we all enjoyed the various flavors. I was not aware there was a tea room in the antique mall next to the Walmart. Apparently this mall is an extension of the antique mall in Fort Worth, and this tea room is a smaller version of that tea room. Having the same quiches and salads and soups. I had the ice tea which was mango and some thing, it was amazing and I had the tin Tulip collection, which had quiche, soup of the day, Waldorf chicken salad, fruit salad, fresh strawberry dip. It was amazing, and huge. We also got the scones and clotted cream for dessert. And had to walk several laps around the antique mall to walk off all the calories. But the antique mall is awesome too, definitely worth walking through. Lots of neat and collectible things read more

One of the hidden gems of Arlington! I always pass by the antique mall but had no idea there was a cute little restaurant in the back. My friend and I both got the half sandwiches that came with soup, fruit, and a muffin which were all really good! Especially the cauliflower chowder! The mango tea I had was delicious and to top it off, the scones cake out warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and tasted super fresh because they bake it in the oven when you order. Jam and clotted cream that comes with it were delicious was well. The service was friendly and it was such a cute quaint place with a lot of different diverse diners. What a great tea room! I am used to another one that is always so cramped. I enjoyed not being stacked in a room with people and that there was no wait. I went with my grandmother and we started with a water and their apricot mango tea. The tea was okay not very strong or flavorful. For lunch I had the salad sampler with the chicken waldorf, penne pasta, and fruit salad. Each salad was tasty and the servings were huge! I loved the penne pasta which was flavorful and had lots of carrots and bell peppers mixed in. The chicken Waldorf was a great salad but a bit bland. It needed a bit of salt to change up the taste. The fruit salad and it's dipping sauce was my favorite part! It could have been a desert. I suggest getting a sampler so you can try as much as possible. I heard the quiche is great! read more

I had the tin tulip collection sampler, which came with a quiche,chicken waldorf, fruit salad, and cup of soup(also a delicious strawberry muffin,not listed) and let me say everything was absolutely delicious! It was the best quiche I have ever had: asparagus, tomato, feta and the most flaky,buttery crust ever! My mother had the "in great demand salad trio" with greek salad, penne pesto,and fruit. Everything she ordered was fantastic. She finished and said "im so happy!" Lol She even said "thank you jesus for letting us try this place" . My daughter and I have never had a (tea party) together and I thought this would be the perfect place to take her after doing some research. The reviews don't lie. When you first walk in you have to go through the antique mall (restaurant is at the back). Right away I noticed the store was very clean and well organized. Once we made our way to the back, I gave the lady the name under our reservation and we were seated promptly. Although the service was pretty slow, we had a very nice waitress. We had reserved for the high tea meals for the kids and my daughter and I thought it looked very nice when they brought it out on the three tiered set. The little tea sandwiches were absolutely wonderful. Not sure what the cream and strawberry ones were about but the other ones were awesome. Now I have never had a scone before so wasn't sure what to expect. It is now probably my most favorite dessert. They have this homemade cream and jam that pairs so well with it. My kids also loved the little variety cheesecakes that it came with. Key lime was my daughters favorite. My husband and I both had the lasagna. It came with either salad or fruit and bread. I got the house salad and added cream of potato soup. All of it was delicious. The lasagna was better then I expected. Fruit was fresh (Hubby shared). We ended up taking two boxes of to go food home. The mango tea is a must have. I asked for a to go cup cause it was so good. Overall the food was really good and it only cost us $50 to feed a family of 4 and baby. Only feedback I have is for the restaurant to invest in new high chairs. They only had two available and both had broken straps. Therefore it was very hard for us to all enjoy the meal together because our little one kept standing up in the high chair (very dangerous). Someone had to constantly walk around the antique store so the rest of us could eat. Maybe next time we will bring a stroller and use that as a high chair? We will definitely be back though :) Also as a side note, we purchased a book and piggy bank all for just $11. They had 20% off today. Great deal. read more

This was my second time here and the first was much better. Our table was ready with the food on it the previous visit this time we waited. It didn't have the cozy high tea feel. This was our first time there. I have been to tea rooms all over the world so a little jaded about them, that being said we really liked this place it is tucked into the back of an antique's mall and while the chairs gave some of our larger members pause on just how sturdy these antiques were, we switched seats around until all felt reasonably safe. We had the High Tea and tried 4 different teas one of which was so good we bought to take home. The chicken salad sandwiches and the dill sandwiches were very good, the strawberry and cream cheese I wasn't a fan of. The scones with clotted cream and jam were very good and still warm when we got them. The little cheesecakes again not a fan. I am not sure when they are made but I don't think it was the day we were there. The other ding I felt were the tea cups; they were clunky and not very elegant, more utilitarian and took away from the ambiance of a High Tea.
