Great atmosphere and food. Not extremely expensive and menu had lots of options. Would recommend being there early on the weekends

We come here every time we visit DFW the bread pudding is to die for. This time we tried the high tea which was only $13 pp. The scones were so good - had a crisp crust but fluffy on this inside. Clotted cream was delicious as were the cucumber sandwiches. It comes with a pot of tea for each person and I tried the passionfruit tea which was amazing with honey. The high tea had great portions and definitely worth it.

Nestled right in the middle of a gigantic antique mall, the Secret Garden Tea Room offers a charming escape from the bustle of daily life. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem. The decor is whimsically elegant, with floral accents, and vintage-inspired furnishings, kinda like my Nannie's kitchen. The tea selection is impressive, featuring loose-leaf teas in classy teapots from classic Earl Grey to more unique blends, like Morning Meadow, my personal favorite. Service is attentive and friendly, without feeling rushed. I've had the pleasure of being served by Jaqueline and Stevie, and both ladies are top notch. As for the food: -chicken salad: I didn't like it very much, but it could be a personal preference. I like mine chunkier than theirs. -fruit salad: love! It's not really a salad, just fruit, but it was all incredibly fresh. -quiche: it was very good and fresh. Next time I'm going to try the quiche Florentine, it sounds delicious -lasagna: OMG i loved it! My favorite so far, and a generous portion. -bread pudding: i can't get enough of this dessert. Pro tip: ask for the delicious praline sauce on the side so you can control how much you want, but also to keep the bread pudding from getting too soggy once you're home and raiding the fridge at 10pm for the leftovers. I will absolutely go back, I'm committed to trying everything on the menu. -

Loved super cute vibes for high tea!! The tea was so delicious highly recommend the lady's Victoria tea I believe it's called and they were all served in cute little teapots the antique mall was such a plus for after tea. Took my mom, grandma, and sister and we all had a great time.

Tucked away inside the Montgomery Antique mall is this cute and surprisingly delicious restaurant. We came here with the intention of having High Tea, but they were completely booked for the weekend, so we just had Brunch. For starters we ordered their famous Apricot Mango Iced Tea and a pot of Lady Hamilton's tea. The Apricot Mango Iced tea was very refreshing and the Lady Hamilton Tea was very calming and tasted like peaches. I had the Secret Sampler which had Quiche, Queen Mum's Chicken Waldorf Salad, Fruit Salad, and a cup of Southwest Chicken soup. My expectations for some reason were low for the food, but this placed surpassed my expectations. Everything on my plate was so delicious, flavorful and tasted fresh. After we were done eating, we just browsed the antique mall. I will for sure be back for the High Tea. I 100% recommend this place! you will not be disappointed. My only suggestion is to make reservations for the High Tea way in advance.

Beefeater sandwich and cream of asparagus soup.

The food was excellent, the cream of asparagus soup was to die for! The place was crowded at 1:30 pm today , we had a 5 min wait to be seated .. not too bad but, We had a long wait after ordering to get drinks and our food. It seemed like 40 minutes from seating to getting our meal. I felt bad for the waiter who was overwhelmed but he did a good job considering. If the staff were more organized and maybe even a person doing drinks and tickets it would be smoother.

This place was a surprise and the star of the Montgomery Street Antique Mall. I was a little nervous because the place is not a lot to look at, but what they lacked in aesthetics they made up for in taste! I ordered the Beefeaters sandwich and it came with vegetable soup. Both were amazing! I topped it off with Bread Pudding that was to die for!

One of the most unique places I've dined. It feels like I went to grandmas house for lunch. This restaurant feels out of place but it just contributes to the whole experience. The food itself was extremely surprising in the best way. Though everything may not looks super appealing don't judge by the cover. Good quality food, awesome price and overall a must come back experience.

Here's a picture of our tea party!

I recently gave my 7 year old granddaughter an antique tea set. Something I 'd spent years searching for! To present the gift I took the ladies in our family to Secret Garden for a tea party: my 3 daughters, sister and granddaughter. I called to get the particulars about their tea parties, so I knew what to expect. We were there on time. (Tea parties are served after the lunch crowd.) We dressed up, wore hats, and tried to make it special and a grown up event as opposed to a children's tea party. Sadly, I do not remember our waitresses name. They were ready for us and, once clear on the nature of the event, cooperated beautifully! Between us all I think we had some of everything. It was all good! The towers were a big hit, and while everyone may not have liked everything there were enough choices to satisfy everyone. We were able to try several teas in either hot or cold. The scones were delicious! They are a great dessert for those who prefer something NOT gooey/overly sweet. We were not hurried. We were invited to try a variety of items. The portions were plentiful. Our waitress was attentive and patient, even with a little girl who didn't always know what she wanted. The event was a success with both young and old. I did my research, got the facts, and did everything I could to make it a success. In turn Secret Garden did there part by providing good food, a generous variety, and excellent service.

However, I find the food to be quite a let down, not worth the price. I had the sourdough and it was good. I had the steak and fries for the main course with the upgrade cuts of steak. The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. Overall, I think it's a great place for a business meet up and if you are standing at the property but nothing too special. Note: this was lunch menu and I heard the burger here is good so many you can try that but I wouldn't recommend the steak at all.

Now for the food, everything was portioned greatly, more on the heavier side, which you will not hear me complain about because the prices are higher. So for my Chicken Jalapeño Cheddar omelet, I appreciated the leftovers. My only con was the shredded chicken was not seasoned, so after taking my first bite, it seemed dry and bland. My extra salsa and cheese helped it along the way, but I would have wanted something to be there. Loved our waiter, very sweet and attentive. The wait time was reasonable; they were busy but definitely bringing plates out of the kitchen in a timely manner. If you're looking for an elevated brunch feel, this is your place, a great place to host a reasonable 5-6 person dining experience!

We opened with a cocktail from the bar, which set a high bar for what followed -- unfortunately, not everything cleared it. The Deviled Eggs with Spicy Best Maid Pickles arrived looking the part, four to an order, but tasted like they'd forgotten to show up to their own party. Bland, flat, and in desperate need of seasoning, we reached for the salt shaker, which helped, but shouldn't have been necessary. The pickles, to their credit, were doing their absolute best and were genuinely the only flavor happening on that plate. Skip these. The pickles deserve better supporting cast. The Cheeseburger with Wasp Sauce on a potato bun, however, is a different story entirely. We ordered it medium, half expecting the kitchen to interpret that however it pleased, but it arrived cooked exactly as requested, which felt like a small victory worth celebrating. The Wasp Sauce is a mystery worth solving, and the house-made chips that come alongside are fresh, crisp, and dangerously snackable. Pro tip: order a side of ranch for dipping. You're welcome. We also added a side of fries, which were equally excellent. No notes. Little Red Wasp has real charm, great energy, a fun bar, and a cheeseburger worth crossing Main Street for. Just steer clear of the deviled eggs and order the chips with abandon.

The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy.
