A diamond in the middle of the industrial park of Escondido, and has become one of my favorite sandwich shops in town! The ladies running the shop were so patient and nice to me with how indecisive I was trying to decide which to try. I opted for the Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich and their soup of the day. My husband ordered the Toasted turkey and picked up a container of deviled eggs. Everything was AMAZING. My only regret was not getting the large soup. The chicken poblano soup was very creamy, a little kick of spice and would be perfect for a cold winter day. The sandwiches had generous portions of meat and veggies. Sandwiches were balanced perfectly as well. The deviled eggs were good and very creamy. If only they didn't close so early in the afternoon, I'd be frequenting this place for dinner.

One of my friends showed me this cute little sandwich shop near work. We went a little later in the day about 1:30 so it was pretty empty. They have a few tables inside and a couple outside. Menu is on the counter to choose your food. They have a soda machine and also a fridge with bottled drinks. I tried the roast beef sandwich (cold), added chips and a drink. The sandwich was a good size and definitely filled me up. I subbed out the horseradish for mayo and it still hit the spot. Will definitely come back to this spot for lunch.

Great little hole in the wall Sandwich shop. Definitely a locals vibe here. Owner and staff are very nice, owner ensured everything was just perfect for us. High quality meats and veggies here, my salad was huge and I added extra chicken to it, which many places would give you a few slices, I think here they gave me the equivalent to two chicken breast cut up on top. Very tender and flavorful as well, not dry chicken breast. The interior has a nice homey feel with various types of seating to be comfortable and an intentional shabby chic look to it at. Seating inside as well as some outdoor patio seating, private parking lot, great spot overall. Next time I am down in San Diego, I plan on dropping by again and getting a nice lunch at Tina's Too again. Enjoy!

This is a small but mighty sandwich shop located in a business park in Escondido. There's plenty of free parking. You can sit inside or on the patio outside but they seem to do a lot of takeout business, which is what I did. We tried the Turkey, Bacon and Avocado, the Toasted Club, and the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch and Avocado. All were very good and the ingredients were extremely fresh. (By the way, there are no cutesy names here for the sandwiches. Personally, I really appreciate just ordering sandwiches with completely normal names that tell you what the sandwich is all about. Can I get an amen from anyone else?) Of the three sandwiches, the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch and Avocado on a toasted roll was the clear winner. It's a hefty sandwich with great textures and flavors. I think the fact it came on a roll--as opposed to just sandwich bread--definitely helped. We also tried the deviled eggs (delish) and the potato salad ("slappin' style"--the only cutesy name on the menu--which means it comes with cheese, bacon, and jalopenos on top). The potato salad was nice and creamy and the addition of the "slappin" ingredients made it even better. The sandwiches were made quickly and perfectly. Service was very friendly. My one complaint--there is no website for these guys. Folks, it's time to join the 21st century. Get a basic website and put your menu on it. Please. Very good sandwiches here. Put them on your list.

Found the location from the Yelp app and so glad I did. The employees are very friendly which you can tell because they have regulars. I went with the roast beef and cheddar sandwich which was on sourdough bread. I usually don't like sourdough bread because it's usually too chewy but theirs was soft and really fresh. The roast beef was very fresh too. All in all a great sandwich.

Been looking for a consistently tasty sandwich place since moving to Escondido & although I have to drive a little more than I'd like to pick up from Dood's... SOOOOOOO worth it! First time we visited was to treat ourselves to lunch after receiving our 2nd vax. I wanted to keep it healthy, but filling so I ordered the antipasto salad with Italian dressing. When I tell you this salad was big, I mean like this is a 2 person salad, folks! I eat large portions but I couldn't not tackle this! No sir! So to say the least, this was FILLING! LOVE LOVE LOVE sprouts and every ingredient well exquisitely together. I didn't get a pic, but this week I went with the avocado BLT and man oh man did this hit! Yummy! Will def be my go-to from now on. And again, when it comes to sammies, folks, size DOES matter! & Dood's most definitely passes the test. The filling to bread ratio is as it should be--total perfection. Order Dood's & you will AGREEEEE! Also, we always order out, but every time I come in to pick up, the vibes in this place are top notch! Incredible people, the best music always--just overall good vibes!

Stopped by for lunch. I had just finished a job & looked on Yelp to find a deli. I saw Tina's Too and decided to try it. I had their turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich on sourdough bread. Delicious! They also had the Cracked Pepper & Sea Salt Deli Style Dirty Potato Chips. I'm really like those chips & few deli offer them. I placed a phone order here and when I walked in they had everything ready for me in less than ten minutes from hanging up the phone. Everyone was so nice friendly welcoming and helpful. Dropped by during their opening week. I was instantly greeted and shown the menu. I opted for the Turkey Bacon Avocado on squaw with provolone cheese. They also offered to toast the bread, which I said yes. The sandwich was very good. I had never had food from the food truck or Tinas deli. The ingredients were fresh and the sandwich was a good size, only ate half. They also had a 1/2 sandwich & soup or chips combo. There's fountain drinks to choose from as well as a station where you can get condiments, self-serve. Overall recommend this establishment for lunch. Timing is key for this place! If you work in the area and decide to get a sandwich around lunch time. Be prepared to wait a bit for you food as they get super busy. The wait is worth it though. For sure has to be one of better pastrami sandwich's I've had in a while. I can't say much about anything else but can't go wrong with that sandwich. Staff is super friendly. Place is small but do have tables inside and out for eating in. Have a selection of chips and drinks. And wifi as well! Great little local sandwich shop. read more

Yum! Checked out this place today with 2 other friends and it was a hit! I did the Cali dog and it was packed with flavor, friend had soup which today it was chicken poblano soup and it was so flavorful- I wish I grabbed some to go for later! Other friend did the Mac and cheese in the bowl which I don't see on the menu I grabbed but it had a few other choices for Mac and cheese bowls, hers was so tasty as well! Place inside is clean, cute and not stuffy. Seats available inside and outside and plenty of parking. Easy to grab lunch to go or sit and enjoy. Such a great spot, legit think I'm going back tomorrow to try something else. read more

I recently discovered this place while cruisin' through the commercial park not too far from our house. This is my new favorite sandwich shop and I cannot wait to go back. I went there during breakfast and ordered the egg and bacon croissant sandwich. It was large with a super moist & soft croissant...total deliciousness. I ended up talking with Paige (super sweet) and the owner and really enjoyed knowing that they are members of the community offering such great food in the area. He let me try some of their pickled eggs, jalapenos, and pickles...a big fan favorite! Later that day, I found myself over on Andreasen so I decided to pick up lunch. I went with the Turkey Club along with another Turkey sandwich but on different bread. Large, fresh, quality meat, and the perfect combo of ingredients. I'll be back there on Monday to try one of their espressos and their pastrami sandwich. BTW, they also have Dood's Food Truck...keep up the great work! read more

This place is awesome! I walked in with a buddy and one of the guys was cooking bacon! The cashier, who was super friendly, recommended I get the BLT they have. My buddy got the one without avocado but I got the one with avo (it was worth it!) We we'rent allowed to eat inside but they had an outdoor seating area. I can't wait to comeback and really check out the place after the quarantine. p.s. I don't think the blt comes with salt and pepper but do yourself a favor and have them put some on because it was DELICIOUS read more

Love this deli! Saw a flyer recently and decided to order. They offered delivery to my place of work around the corner. Everything came packaged perfectly! They really have the freshest sandwiches. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado, it was a huge size sandwich. They put a nice big chunk of meat and the bread was amazing & fresh. The avocado mash was such goodness. They also offer dirty chips brand flavored kettle chips, the perfect pairing. Loved that pickle spear it came with! Since finding this place I've ordered again! This time I tried their roast beef & cheddar and it was bomb diggy-diggy. Lots of meat and delicious sourdough bread. You can get it "Doods style"- which is lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard! What wasn't to like about Dood's Deli, from the moment you open the door you are just hit with a delicious aroma of all different types of sandwiches. I had a Turkey Bacon Avocado with Cheddar Cheese on Squaw Bread (Dood's way, Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, & Tomato, minus onions) & Potato Salad (Dood's Way, Cheddar Cheese & Bacon, minus jalapeños). Everything was so fresh & tasty. The customer service was great, the cashier knew it was my first time & made great recommendations. Great decor & music. Stopped in for some lunch and was pleasantly greeted by friendly staff! Custom ham and cheese for our 7 year old rocked as she proudly announced that it was "THE Best ham and cheese I've ever had". I went in this morning at 8:30 a.m. to place an order. I had a company lunch and had to pay for it through my boss. They were so very helpful and nice. I love the vibe in this deli. Stopped by here the other morning on my way to work, I've had their sandwiches before which I'm surprised I haven't written a review before, I think I just wanted to keep it to myself. This time I tried their breakfast sandwiches and I was not disappointed! Only negative which isn't even their fault is that they don't have the ghost pepper cheese that their sandwiches list on the menu (it's a supplier issue which is totally understandable). I had the the Chonch sandwich but on sourdough bread. Let me just say I will be continuously returning to try more breakfast sandwiches for sure!! Now hurry up and go get one! read more

Clean and friendly little place hidden in the business park. I picked up the Hot & Spicy Turkey sandwich with Doods Style (Mayo, mustard, tomato, lettuce, onion, tomato). The sandwich was a good size and tasted absolutely delicious. I called in the order and when I arrived they made on the spot. Service was exceptional and super fast. This place is a hidden gem! Just moved to the north county area so I've been trying to scope out all the spots. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this place hit all the checks! I had the chipotle chicken sandwich and the chicken was a nice piece of meat but not too thick where it takes over the sandwich. It had a nice house made Chipotle aioli that was delish & the ciabatta wasn't too hard but soft enough. They have a great selection of other sandwiches I'm for sure going to try. My boyfriend got the veggie sandwich and being a vegan most sandwiches are the same for him but he really really enjoyed their specific sandwich. I'm so impressed with this deli! We ordered a mess of food and it was all super fresh and delicious. They have half sandwiches with a large portion of meat and includes a pickle wedge and two peppercinis. The Roasted Chicken Poblano Soup is really flavorful and a tad spicy (quite possibly the best soup in town). The service was A++ and the interior is super clean and nice and the outdoor dining was also really nice. Even though it's a small deli in an industrial section of town, it feels upscale and spacious. The potato salad is a little sweeter than I like but the Italian Bull (I got pomegranate) was the most tasty and refreshing drink I've had in a long time. We thought we had our favorite sandwich places in town but Dood's deli beats them all! read more

This place is BOMB. I managed a deli for almost 4 years, and I'm suuuuuper picky about how sandwiches are put together/ingredients, and this place is so good. Everything tastes fresh, even with Uber eats I expected the bread to get soggy and the sandwich to get cold but it held up perfectly. My favorite is the Hot and Spicy Turkey. Order was done super fast and the sandwiches were awesome. My only complaint is they are not open on weekends or in the late afternoon/ evening, but that is typically the case with deli's like this that service the Mon-Fri 9-5 crowd. This place is amazing! Friendly staff and relaxing Atmosphere! Did I mention the food? The menu is easy to read with an assortment of refreshments. Outdoor seating as well as inside. I ordered that was a colossal in size. Very delicious!! read more

We always come at off peak hours so I'm not sure how packed it would get but this seems like a good place to catch a PPV fight or something IF they don't pack everyone in like sardines. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

Today was our 3rd visit, first trip for breakfast and I cant say anything but good things! Our previous lunches were amazing and breakfast fell nothing short of delicious! Staff is always polite and friendly. Deviled eggs are a must try! If your worried about germs right now head to Doods without concern, the place was spotless.
