The novelty alone brought me and I'm not disappointed. The cold cheese is a nice touch that can't quite be duplicated at home. Pizza is decent as any late night sidewalk eat in NYC but dump cold mozzarella and it's elevated. Unique topping combinations compel me to come again despite the extraordinary route to get here. If I'm nearby, no hesitation to come by. Now on to try all the other attempts from other pizzerias to compare. Flavorless, over-priced pizza. They must have named "The Bland Houses" in Queens after trying Tino's. There was a sign out front (8:30 p.m.) for two regular slices plus a fountain drink for $6.00. The locals running the place stated, "Oh, that was the lunch special. The dinner special is fifty cents more." Staff members were WAY too excited to be getting over on a tourist for fifty cents. How about changing the price on your sign to reflect your "dinner" special? Unimpressed with the flavorless food and unprofessional service. Come on, people. Get it together. COLD CHEESE PIZZA!!!!! (shut up joey, its good so stfu) Annoying yes how the addition of un-melted, cold mozz will up the price of a basic slice but damn its worth it. I bought a block of mozz to make my own now, whenever i get a pie. Inside is nothing special, its a college pizza spot. The bathroom is a single stall reminiscent of a trailer mixed with Joann's fabrics and Woolworths circa 1982. Prob hasn't been thoroughly cleaned since then either, so make sure to sani. Where do I start. Unfortunately we had to deal with the drunk crowd waiting on line to be served this place gets so much praise for what I see is no reason. The restaurant itself is filthy. Grease stains all over the walls and decor, overall looking very gross. The staff though themselves are very nice. We were greeted amongst the craziness and we ordered two slices. Expensive slices I may add, $4.25 for a special slice was a bit much for what we got in return. It took them a couple minutes to reheat some slices and we got them shoved in a bag and we were on our way out. They did respect COVID rules by ordering the drunk groups of girls and guys to vacate the restaurant if they got their food since they wouldn't leave the cramped room. We ate our slices outside on the bench and we were nothing but dissatisfied. The cheese felt artificial and cheap. No pull or stretch more of a rip from a low quality cheese that had almost no flavor. The sauce as well did nothing but add some moisture to the slice and also tasted like nothing. After having this slice right after trying Nina's down the street, there was no competition and one clear winner. Also the large amounts of grease that pooled the top of the pizza we had to dab off was not very appetizing. Therefore it really makes me wonder why people go crazy over the two Sals and Tino's when Ninas is down the street for a cheaper slice and FAR better. I had to post a review. I never review many places but I had to share. My boyfriend and I went here for takeout about a month ago and the pizza was pretty good. Not the best but not the worse in this area. We ordered tonight (our 2nd time) for takeout and my boyfriend picked it up. When he went in there, the woman that gave him his ordered just grabbed his money and wasnt very friendly. I ordered their "famous" cold cheese pizza and my boyfriend ordered a calzone. When we got home (about a 10 min drive) I opened my expensive cold cheese pizza and guess what I got a cold cheese pizza. Not any extra cheese on top and the pizza tasted like it was sitting out for a hour. I paid almost 14 dollars on a cheese pizza!!! No extra cheese on top. I could have got better at a supermarket in the frozen pizza section. My boyfriend got a sloppy, weird tasting calzone. There was some kind of spice in the cheese that made it taste strange. You couldn't even pick up the calzone and dip it in the sauce. I am not from this area and I haven't been too impressed with many pizza places up here but this was the worse. Excellent New York pizza. Our boys had never had ny pizza before - we're up here for a baseball tournament and we're glad we had tinos for their first time. Large cheese pizza was great and just what we needed our first night in Oneonta. My husband got the chicken parm sandwich which was huge and tasted great. I was running errands while in Oneonta and decided to stop for a bite to eat. Wanting something quick, I decided to give the home of the cold cheese pizza, Tino's, a try. Now, I didn't try their cold cheese pizza, nor some of their other specialties like fried ravioli or fried candy bars (yes, they hve that), but I tried some of their unique varieties of pizza. They get points for inventiveness. Among the types of pizza they have at Tino's include garlic parmesan pizza, spinach and artichoke dip pizza, General Tso's pizza and sweet chili pizza. I decided to order a slice of the spinach and artichoke dip pizza and the sweet chili pizza (which also is topped with chicken). Usually, sweet chili sauce and pizza are not two great tastes that go together, but they blend this well into the pizza. So yes, the pizza was good, even though it was a little bit pricy. The service was also good and prompt, as they were attentive to my order even while taking orders over the telephone. They also have a large seating area for customers to dine in. read more

I'm originally from New York, and I know good pizza. You won't find a better place than Tino's. It's addicting pizza, with the possibility of adding their special "cold cheese" on top. It's excellent taste wise and they have a variety of options. The garlic knots are great too. You will get a classic vibe from the really cool Coca Cola ambiance, with custom Coca Cola items everywhere which are really neat. So, I am from the town of the original cold slice, Little Vincent's Pizza in Huntington, New York, so when I came to Oneonta and heard they do the cold slice I immediately like, "No, they do A cold slice, not THE cold slice." I lived in Buffalo and Rochester for 6 years and in that time not once did I have a decent slice of pizza so I was skeptical being from the Long Island/NYC area. However, on a Saturday night after drinking for hours pizza in Oneonta sounded like a great plan. Came into Tinos and had to give the cold slice a go along with another slice, cannot recall what the exact kind was. So the specialty slice we got was definitely good, thin crust, nice crunch good flavor, probably the best pizza I've had away from home. The cold cheese slice was a good effort but the consistency of the cheese was very very different than the cold cheese slice I am used to back home and it didn't melt into the pizza and create that hot/cold experience you look for in a cold cheese slice. For a pizza place that's not in the metro area, it was good for sure, maybe even the best in the Oneonta area. Definitely did the trick that night! read more
