Just got my windows tinted. Their service is speedy and well done. My car looks great!

After getting quotes from different tint places and looking on Yelp reading through reviews, I decided to go with Tint World and had a set date for an appointment the very next day. I arrived 15 mins early, and had a chance to speak to Angel about his recommended tint percent to work best for day and night driving. Within an hour or so, I was impressed with how quickly they had it installed (windshield). Paid and went on with my day. I did not have time to thoroughly inspect the job until the next day. It was also raining the day I took my car in, so it was hard to see any imperfections. Finally, the following day I got more time to check the tint job carefully. I saw several gaps where the sun came through, tint edges that was showing so bad it was almost like I could peel it off and water bubbles with dust and lint. I know bubbling is normal, and will eventually disappear - but obvious lints, and gaps were unacceptable to me. I quickly called to express my concerns and wanted to know if I could get it fixed. I spoke to Melissa, and she said yes, please come in tomorrow. LOL looking at the tint, my frustration was growing and really just wanted to get it removed, refunded and take it elsewhere. I wouldn't have bothered asking them to remove it, but I was afraid they wouldn't have believed that I hated it that bad. Called again to let them know that I no longer wanted them to fix it, and just please remove it and refund me. However, Greg said please take in and we can look at it and see what we can do. Again, I take it in. This time I spoke to their lead Tinter, Larry, and I expressed what I didn't like about it and he explained what they will be doing to get the tint removed, etc. Five hours later, I come back and it is way better than the first tint application. Perfect. I know this was such a long review, and the only reason I'm giving it a 4 star review instead of 5, is because I believe they could have done it better the first time. read more

Once I got to the shop, Hunter was very helpful, detailed and professional. I was surprised by the the other services they offer because the name of the company is misleading. Regardless, I was pleased by the tint service and now I am waiting to go back and look into upgrading my alarm system. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with this company. Angel and his team, largely Juan, did an awesome bangup job on a full body PPF on my Tesla. I shopped around town and their pricing at the San Marcos location was the most competitive. And they were constantly communicating and keeping me in the loop. They educated me about the whole process and its limitations and I was very satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship and aftercare. Tinted two front windows. Tint bubbled but eventually went away. The only qualm I had is that my doors were covered in fluid when I got it back. It ran down into my side door storage and destroyed some papers in there. Takes two minutes to clean the door when finished, seemed sloppy. read more

I wanted to have the windows tinted on my 2019 Grand Cherokee so I called around to a few shops for info. On a Monday I called Tint World in San Marcos and spoke with Angel who provided options, pricing, etc. in a very helpful manner. I was able to get an appt for Wednesday and when I arrived at the shop they were all ready for me. The shop is super clean, and the girl at the front desk is most helpful and knowledgeable. Being unsure of what I wanted, she called a tech (Larry) outside to look at my car and give me some recommendations. I ended up going with his recommendation (ceramic tint, I think 35%?) and could not be happier with the results! The car looks awesome and they do great work! I definitely recommend their services, and their recommendations if you're not quite sure what you want. I can already tell that my interior is much cooler than with the stock tint. We called tint world back in March after seeing great reviews to replace our screen in our explorer. We noticed right away that there was a lack of communication, but We picked a screen & finally got an appointment to install in June. They were not able to originally put in the 10 inch screen because they needed an adapter to work with our explorer. Which the installer should know the vehicles he is going to be installing on ahead of time. We were notified they had an 8 inch in the shop they could put in as well. We decided to go ahead and do it because it wouldn't be any smaller than what we already had even though we wanted bigger. Fast forward we pick up the car & it is not the screen they said it would be, it was 6.8 inch. We had issues with the screen not working properly & eventually getting stuck on the back up camera. They originally tried to make things right, removed the new defective screen & put back the old. We picked a new screen that was back ordered but scheduled to arrive mid July....end of July rolls around still no communication. We decide to give them more time to reach out, but here we are mid August and they never even tried to contact us. We called today to find out the part is still back ordered, but they never had the decency to notify us. At this point I just want a refund, but they say they can't do that per the contract even though they haven't upheld their end of the contract or even communicated what is going on. I am extremely frustrated with this company & their lack of communication with costumers. read more
