I tried to debate how I should rate this experience and I'm having diffculties. It's definitely not a 5 but it's between a 1 and 3. Since I need to assume some responsiblity I will give them a 3 instead of a 1. The workman ship of the installation was fine and I have no objections. I had the driver and rear passenger windows including the rear window tinted and the rear window ended up being tinted too dark. I had a hard time looking and seeing anything in the rear view. A couple of days later I asked them to remove the rear window tint and lower it a few notches. I didn't mind paying extra for this effort. To my surprise I didn't get the response and answer I was looking for. The customer service lacked and I was informed that removing the tint could damage the rear window defrosting elements. They said I would have to assume the responsibility and it didn't leave me with a great feeling of customer support and service. Given the lack of service I got after the call I went ahead and called some other tint places and I ended up going to another shop to get it removed and replaced without issues. It cost me another $200 but I was super happy. Lessons learned. Tint World needs to do a better job explaining the rear window tint implications if the tint ends up being too dark. They should inform the customer that removing the tint subsequently might damage the heating elements in the glass. That alone should make the customer re-think tint options. They should be more customer focused. Some car models have already factory tinting and that can influence additional tinting added. They should be more aware and informed of different car models. Take the time to educate the customer more. read more

I took my Volkswagen Golf in today to have a 70% front and 20% rear and back windows tinted with the ultimate ceramic package. Looks like the windows should have out of the factory. Gave my car the sporty look I was going for and the tint came out perfect. Went above and beyond my expectations for the price. Just spend the extra $100 on the ceramic package, I could already tell my air conditioning was working so much better from the UV protection it provides! I took my car here for a wrap removal on my SUV, because it was recommended. They charge a 100$ an hour based on their time clock. Not only did they rip me off by saying they did the work per hour but when they removed the wrap the heat gun burned my roof. So now I have more damage to my car then when I brought it in. I have made several attempts to contact the owner but he apparently is never there, nor does he respond to text messages. Tint world corporate does nothing to help. So if there's a problem good luck if the owner keeps dodging the calls. Terrible experience, would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had one of my windows on my 4runner smashed. I needed to get it tinted soon after replacing to "match" the rest of the windows. I received several quotes from other companies on Yelp. About a few months ago I did a lot of research on Carbon Nano tint and who had great reviews and found Tint World in San Marcos Ca. I asked for a quote and within an hour or less I received a call and an email for a quote on my truck. They did a phenomenal job on the truck. I just had another vehicle tinted and again an amazing job. There will be one more vehicle getting tinted and am almost 100% positive I will not be disappointed. I've grown too old and lazy to work on my car very much anymore, especially the tedium that comes with car audio. I'd rather replace a timing belt than spend hours tearing out the interior for a clean install. After looking around a bit, I reached out to Tint World a bit hesitantly as they are a chain/franchise - but after speaking with Greg on the phone for about 20 minutes and explaining that I would like to purchase and have installed a 10" sub and enclosure, my headlights and front indicator bulbs replaced, along with diagnosing a failure going to my rear backup camera, I was provided an estimate and headed there right away, no appointment needed. As Greg and I had spoken about over the phone, I had brought with me an Alpine monoblock amp and the replacement bulbs I needed for them to install. All I needed from them was the sub, enclosure, and wiring. Greg walked me through what was available, test fitted a few enclosures, and I was good to go. I left the car with Greg around 11:30am, and picked it up at 5:15pm. As requested, the headlights and bulbs I'd left with them had been installed along with the new sub/enclosure wired up to my amp, and per my request he'd added a quick release for the enclosure (same connector used for a HID ballast, very nice). My rear camera was working again, and he'd also fully EQ'd all my speakers, not just the amp and sub. The install was incredibly clean, no trash left in the car, nothing missing, all quality materials used, and sub/fine tuning sound absolutely amazing for what I paid. I never would have expected the output I'm getting from that 10" JL. All in all an positive and refreshing experience, from start to finish. The guys in the shop are very friendly and professional, happy to answer questions (even about their own Subies parked outside), and I'll definitely be going back soon to have a set of custom LED tail lights installed. read more
