Tim is the best! I was afraid my diving days were over since my rheumatoid arthritis started getting worse ( got it in my 20's) and have a bad knee . But Tim made sure that I could still dive in and under and all over the place. He did everything possible to make my dive comfortable and amazing! He is so caring, knowledgeable and respectful of the sea and those who worship it like he does, Mahalo Tim!

My fiance and I did a discovery scuba dive last week with Barry, and we really couldn't be happier with the experience. We were expecting to be part of a group lesson, but it turned out it was just the two of us plus Barry, which was great because neither of us had been diving before and we were able to get tons of individual attention. I tend to be kind of an anxious person and was a little nervous at first, so I was grateful for how slowly and methodically he took us through the process of learning to dive. We started with a short lecture and then a couple of lessons in the hotel pool first, where Barry taught us the basics before going for real in the ocean. I had a little moment of panic in the pool, and he could not have been kinder or more patient with me as he helped me practice again the technique that I'd had trouble with. In all, we spent about two hours getting our gear right, learning, and practicing before leaving for the ocean dive. We each got one full tank to use in the ocean, and they let you stay down until you reach the warning line on the meter. So the slower you breathe, the longer you get to stay. We were down about an hour, but it did not feel that long! The conditions that day could not have been better, and we saw tons of fish, coral, and a turtle. Plus we could hear humpbacks singing almost the whole time. It was magical. Barry was just the perfect instructor, occasionally checking in, reminding us to equalize, adjusting the amount of air in our vests, and checking the air levels in our tanks. He keeps a little underwater notepad with him so he can write notes to you, and he let us know partway in that we were doing great. He even encouraged us to do underwater flips, which wouldn't have occurred to me on my own but was really fun! He also took over 100 pictures and videos of us and the wildlife, which we were happy to buy from him afterward in addition to his tip. They were much higher quality than anything we would have taken with our own little underwater camera. All in all, I can't think of a single way I would improve our experience. If you're going to Maui and considering diving for the first time, I can't recommend Barry and Tiny Bubbles enough!

After reading many rave reviews for Maui Dreams, I enrolled in the Rescue Diver class through their…read moreshop. I scheduled the class a few months in advance, and they even advertised it to recruit another student (after all, you can't rescue yourself!). I learned from the best--Kerri is a true expert in both diving and instruction. He is incredibly patient and explains concepts clearly. He took the time to answer all of our questions and really instilled the importance of dive safety--that anything can happen at any time, and you always need to stay aware, especially in and around the water. We practiced multiple real-life rescue scenarios in the water, which made the training feel practical and incredibly valuable. I learned so many important skills from Kerri--both ones I hope I never have to use and others that I will carry with me on every dive going forward. I look forward to diving with Kerri and the Maui Dreams crew the next time I'm on Maui!

When I moved here I went to Maui Dreams and they fitted one that worked perfectly until it was time to upgrade years later. I've done a few upgrades with them and all have worked out well. Sadly, the other day before a swim the strap on my mask broke. I swim twice a week so it was depressing. I went to MDD and told Chris the issue. He fixed my strap and sent me on my way to have an amazing swim. Truly one of the best managed companies on the islands. Please bring your biz to them as they are there to help. Whilst waiting for my mask about 3 associates made sure I was being helped. Much aloha Maui Dreams Dive!

From start to finish, the entire crew went above and beyond to make our day special. Matthew DeMayo captured everything so beautifully--his photos are something we'll treasure forever. Captain Darryl, Julian, and Stiles were not only professional and knowledgeable, but genuinely warm and attentive the entire time. And a huge thank you to Adella, who made our son's very first snuba experience unforgettable! Traveling with kids can sometimes be unpredictable, but this team was so kind, patient, and engaging with our boys--it really meant a lot to us as parents. Watching our son light up during his first snuba dive was such a special moment, and we're so grateful it happened with such a supportive and fun crew. You can feel how much this family-owned company truly cares about what they do. If you're considering an ocean adventure in Maui, this is the team you want. We can't recommend them highly enough!

I found the crew to be so-so and not 100% engaged in their work with exception of the snuba instructor. The Captain that day was particularly unfriendly and this is clearly a job to him, not passion. The breakfast was blah as was the lunch. I did appreciate the beer. They should have had bottled water and soda cans which would have fared better on the boat. One of the highlights was reeling in a 6 foot, 20# ono which completely delighted my daughters. Biggest downside- they didn't let us take our own pictures preferring their photographer to do it. The cost for pictures was completely ridiculous. The grumpy captain clearly did not want to share the fish stating that it would be at least an hour before fillet and dividing it up amongst the crew. I chose not to let the crew and the photography to sour the experience. What a joy it was to share the experience of swimming with the fish with my daughters. Biggest perk- prescription sunglasses that allowed me to see 20/20 clear! Be aware- the parking cost is monstrous :( Totally wish I could own my own boat to be out and about snorkeling in the absolute gorgeous Maui ocean life!

Michael did a great job of going over what to expect. He did a great job during the dive as I originally struggled a bit, mostly due my long layoff from diving and the current. However he kept me calm and I improved my technique during the dive, I was use to drift dives. I was originally scheduled for a 2nd dive but we spent 55 minutes on the 1st dive, more than I expected. I didn't expect that length of time or that heavy of a current. Scuba Shack refunded the cost of the 2nd dive. It turned out 1 dive was perfect amount of time and we saw lots of fish, juvenile rays and even a turtle.

We were 4 snorkelers with 6 divers. We had to be at the marina at 5:20am and the early start was worth it. We were the 1st boat out to Molokini. We got to watch the sunrise while the scuba divers got ready. Capt Charlie was the over watch for us snorkelers and he gave us very clear instructions on where to go and how far away from the boat we were allowed to wander. Next stop was Turtle town, we only saw one turtle but still enjoyed an hour snorkeling around. The staff was great and the snorkeling was fun. We went back in to Scuba Shack a couple of times and every time they gave us great suggestions on places to eat that didn't disappoint.
