We arrived around 12:00PM, and although there were several empty tables, no one acknowledged or updated anyone else waiting. I politely asked the waiter if guests were still being seated due to the time, since the restaurant now closes at 1:30 PM. Before I could even finish my sentence, he responded loudly and dismissively, saying, "I don't know, I'm not the one to ask, ma'am," repeatedly interrupting me as I tried to explain. His tone was rude and unnecessary, especially since I had asked calmly and respectfully. The interaction drew attention from everyone around us and made me feel embarrassed for simply asking a reasonable question. I then asked another staff member if we should add ourselves to the list and whether our party of four could possibly be seated at one of the empty tables. I was told they were not even looking at the waiting list because of the large party and because "the grill is small." I understand large parties can create delays, but customers should still be acknowledged and treated respectfully. A simple explanation given politely would have gone a long way. Sadly, the service today did not reflect the positive experience we had before. So we left and went to Egg Plantation instead. Where we were treated with respect, seated right away even though they had parties or 13 and 15. They brought us the menu and drinks right away, they were very attentive at egg plantation. I highly recommend that place.

There is plenty of seating inside including the typical coffee shop counter seats which seemed to have many regulars seated. We ordered the pancake sandwich which was the day's special and the Halfway House Super Breakfast which included 2 Strips of Bacon, Two Sausage Links, Half Slice of Ham, Three eggs, One Pancake and bisquits and gravy. A crazy amount of food. Everything was good. The omelettes come with a choice of bagel or toast. If I know I want a bagel, I call earlier in the morning and ask them to put the ones aside I would like. They do run out of or have a scant of variety of bagels available later in the day. We have never eaten in the restaurant, as we live close by and take it home. However, there is lots of seating inside and some tables outside. Outdoors is a large type sidewalk by the parking lot so not very desirable. There is a restroom for customers. From time to time I have purchased their peanut butter cookies. Love them! I know many people are bagel connoisseurs. I am not. I only know what I like and I like Dink's bagels. I love the rye, salt, and garlic bagels. Sometimes I get a small container of their lox cream cheese. Oh, by the way, the deli meat by the pound and salads are a great entertaining option.
