Arrive shortly after opening on a Saturday morning. It was busy but we were seated quickly. My husband had a Bloody Mary and beet and arugula salad with grilled chicken. He finished it all but was very full and content. I had a blood orange mimosa, cup of tomato basil soup and an order of medium wings. We both enjoyed our food and it came out quickly. We will absolutely return!

    The Blessings burger.

The Blessings burger was delicious! I had mine with seasoned fries while my hubby had it with Saratoga chips. The Saratoga chips were my favorite over the fries. We sat at the bar and the bartender was excellent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely check out this family restaurant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Pretzels with Short Rib Cheese

Wonderful meal at the new Blessings Tavern. It recently re-opened under new management. My group shared the pretzels with short rib beer cheese. I had the chicken Marsala with house salad. Pretzels were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Chicken Marsala had great depth of flavor. House salad was fantastic. Not overly dressed, loved the addition of red peppers which you don't usually get in side salads. I'm assuming it was the owner, he was hustling! Seating guests, getting drinks, taking orders and checking in on tables. One of the most attentive restaurants I've ever been to. It was obvious they care and want every guest to have a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only thing that was a little damper on the evening was that it got quite loud in there. Most of the time it was hard to hear my friends even though they were so close.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Turkey and vegetables soup and creamy Cajun shrimp chowder

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I just want to start out by saying this place is pristine, the decor is beautiful and it is so clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is incredibly friendly. The soups were good, the turkey vegetable lacked a bit of dimension and the veggies weren't as tender like when you have it cooking all day. The Cajun chowder was delicious but had a bit too much salt. Now on to the pasta, we added a chicken cutlet and boy are we glad. They are thin and delicious! The cutlet definitely elevated the dish. The sauce was pretty good. What was for sure unbeatable was the price. Good food, good price- I will be back!

    Reuben egg rolls

Came to try the soup sampler. We tried the French onion, corn chowder, and the chili. The soups didn't have much flavor and the chili tasted as if it had ground up beans as well as the whole beans (not a fan of any of them) We split the sausage burger and onion rings. It was ok but not great. The onion rings were good. Service was good. Had the reuben egg rolls that were pretty good but not really any cheese in them.

Chicken Fingers $9.95 Hero Sandwich $11.95

I'm betwixt and between about this place but after last nights take-out meal I'm gradually leaning on the negative. I have read previous reviews and given them 3 chances and there has been issues each time. Yesterday choosing something that would stay hot during transportation I ordered chicken tenders served with marinara sauce @ $9.95. DH ordered Hero Sandwich steak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms topped with marinara and melted cheese @ $11.95. Now mind you we live about 10 minutes away. Being that it was early 5pm and thinking it wouldn't be very busy DH left early just so he would be there when the food came right out of the oven and rushed home to hopefully eat it hot. Opened up the food and there was no marinara sauce for either orders!... have you ever eaten chicken tenders without some sauce they were so dry! I ate half as I was hungry and passed on the rest. DH liked his sandwich but was very disappointed not having the marinara for his order. This happened in the past... Not so sure we will go back one problem is there aren't many take out places close by. I just might have to cook more often!

Fresh warm rolls came and I ordered a side Caesar salad which was surprisingly big. It had lots of shaved Parmesan and fresh romaine lettuce and the Caesar dressing was really good. My friend got the side Mr. D's salad and it was huge. Lots of cranberries and mandarin oranges, cheddar cheese, almonds, and lots of fresh greens. It had garlic dressing. I wished I had ordered that! We ordered the crabcakes as an appetizer. It came with two nice sized crabcakes. They were meaty and tasty. I ordered the salmon and shrimp with rice. It may have been a special because I don't see it on their menu and I forget what the glaze or sauce was that was on it. It was a little overwhelming but I just took some off and it was actually very good. I think it was wine based. Two big fat shrimp and a nice piece of salmon cooked to perfection. The brussels sprouts were cooked and spiced just right. The rice was good too. Large portions of everything. I was here at a conference and I never think of stopping by here and just grabbing some bread pudding. I will have to keep that in mind!

We were in town here grabbing some dinner with my nephew who is a student at RPI. It's been forever…read moresince I've been at a mall, but there was plenty of parking despite the rainy weather, and we got into here quickly for a table for dinner. Their dessert case right in front of the entrance was taunting me.... We were seated and greeted by Sang Jun, who was fantastic. It turns out that we are all Korean, we figured that out at the end of the meal but he was amazing as a server. Never needed to ask for anything, made several recommendations, and we had a really great meal and evening. The menu is giant! Come hungry for sure! I started out with a margarita flight, which was not only beautiful, but delicious. We started out with the ahi tuna nachos, which was delicious and beautiful. Scallions, tuna, fried wonton skins as chips, jalapeños and sauce that made it all worth every calorie. I ignored the jalapeños, but still inhaled the tuna and everything else. Crowd pleaser for sure. My nephew got the salmon special, served with sweet potatoes. I ordered the bang bang shrimp and chicken that came with lo mein. The sauce was a Thai curry base and has veggies and was literally inhale-able. I ate the proteins (cooked perfectly) and some of the noodles, then ended up eating the leftover noodles the next morning. Still just as good cold out of the fridge! My brother got the ramen. They were out of the pork (or it was off the menu) so he went with the beef. That looked so good, bowl was filled to brim with noodles, garnishes, and beef. It was perfect since he wasn't feeling well. My nephew decided halfway thru his salmon dish he wanted a side Caesar salad and Sang Jun brought one tha looked like it was made for the Internet. Well plated and giant portion. We were absolutely stuffed so we had no room for desserts, even though they looked so good in the cooler walking in. We had a nice discussion with SJ about our family trip to Korea last summer, telling him about some of the most embarrassing moments and getting a good laugh. I guess this is a chain, but I hope that I see one again. I'll be ready to have the same exact thing, or try something new- I'm sure it will be amazing. Thanks to the team and Sang Jun for a memorable meal here in Albany!
