    Rib plate
    Marilyn F.

I ordered the rib plate with baked beans and potato salad for $19.06. The dinner had 5 bones, the baked beans, potato salad and the sauce were very good. The ribs were good too but they were cold. I had to put them in the microwave to warm them up. The restaurant is inside a gas station. Even though the food was good I think $19.06 is kind of expensive for gas station food. I only gave them 3 stars because of the cold food, no eating utensils, and the price for gas station food. I couldn't find an up to date menu online so I am including a picture of the menu that I picked up while I was there.

This place is located inside the gas station. I've tried their brisket platter. It comes with brisket, two sides and two slices of bread. Brisket was good and tasty with sweet heat sauces. Sides (potato salad and coleslaw) were okay. Potato salad was good but icy. Coleslaw was boring. I've had better. The bread were cold- should be toasted. Overall it was good.

What's not to love about one-stop shopping? Fill up your gas tank, grab a lotto ticket and get in on some solid bbq. Tipsy Pig is located inside of a Shell gas station and offers a handful of tables for dining in. You order at the bbq counter, bring your ticket to the gas station clerk to pay and then return to the bbq guys with your receipt. I placed a takeout order for a brisket plate with two sides (collard greens and potato salad). I was also given a sample of the brisket end, which is my favorite part. The food was satisfying, although I was given blackberry cobbler instead of collards. Some would say I won in that instance, and I wouldn't disagree. Just a suggestion to check your order if you're committed to getting something green on your plate that day! An overall positive experience with a warm welcome from the staff.

2 meat with two sides meal

I ordered my meal from the Tipsy Pig via UberEats. I ordered the two meats with two sides meal which comes with two slices of bread, not Texas toast. I also ordered Brunswick stew and Blackberry cobbler. The ribs were very tender, just tasted baked, no smokiness. The collard greens were ok, the mac n cheese needs some work. It needed more cheese, more salt, and needed to be baked. The Brunswick stew was watery and just tasted like they soaked it in chicken broth. I am going to try to salvage it by adding tomato sauce. On UberEats, the Blackberry cobbler was $8 for a bowl. They sent it in a tiny container which would only be worth half that price if not less. The worse part after the price is that it doesn't taste good at all. I really wish I could get a full refund on that out of everything. I feel robbed with it and the Brunswick stew. The total came out to over $40 without the added fees and tip. I won't be ordering again. I am on a journey for really good barbecue and unfortunately this place doesn't make the cut.

My first time trying their food and the sweet heat bbq sauce stole the show. It was my favorite part of this meal. The ribs were good and the sides tasted normal. The collard greens weren't tasty to me. They tasted like sink water but the sauce made it better. The plate has a great presentation and I'd order the ribs with sauce again

Don't judge a book by its cover. This little Bbq place in a gas station is worth its wait in gold teeth. As a lot of people in cyberspace I came here for lunch based on reviews and it didn't disappoint. The order takers were young people with good manners and took my order properly. The food was ready in under 10 minutes! Ambiance was cozy and cool eating in a gas station setting. Picnic like tables added to the BBQ feel. I got a pork sandwich and Brunswick stew which were both magnifico! If you've seen the reviews but haven't pull the trigger yet I implore you to come here once if you love good "Q".

First, the music is incredibly loud inside the well-kept establishment. It's definitely not a place to sit and dine--not that there's really room for that. I think there were two high-top tables. Surprisingly, someone WAS dining in-house. I am sure his hearing went down a couple of notches. Why do restaurateurs think that patrons want their ears blasted? It's not fine dining, we get that, but dang! The music was SO loud that I had trouble focusing on the menu. I rattled off my order and took a seat. The song that was playing in the moment had explicit, inappropriate language for children, and for me! Something about eating of another kind, well let's not go there. Took my food home and was pleased that my food still radiated heat! I don't live anywhere close, so I was impressed! The chicken was very good! Nearly perfectly seasoned. Thankfully, I got sauce on the side because the sauce was total yuck. It had so much hickory flavor that it left a bitter taste on the tongue, like a rancid taste. The collard greens lacked flavor, but were edible. I hate meat mixed in with veggies, even if it is turkey. The turkey did nothing for the greens but get in my way. When will we move from practices in the 1800s and stop using meat to "season" veggies? We're in the 21st century now. We have access to actual seasonings now! The macaroni and cheese tasted old school and that was fine with me. It was a tub full of mush, but it tasted so good! Not a macaroni noodle to be found in all that mush, but hey, I'd reorder it! The peach cobbler... Let me first say that I am a Georgia Peach through and through. If I see peach cobbler on the menu, I'm gonna get it. Trust and believe that! When I was taking the containers out of the bag, I paused and asked "What is this?" It didn't look a thing like ANY kind of cobbler I'd ever seen. Brace yourselves... it looked like a tub of raw chicken skin floating on top of a dark liquid! How in the French onion soup is THAT peach cobbler? I tilted the container and saw some peaches peeking out. Seriously? Peach cobbler? Somebody ought to be brought up on charges for failure to make REAL peach cobbler! The peaches and the syrup were actually pretty tasty. The chicken skin-looking crust tasted like phyllo dough. Chile, we need flour, water, shortening, and an oven, STAT! Please, DON'T call THAT peach cobbler! Call it "hot peach mess" or "wanna be cobbler" or whatever! Will return for the chicken and macaroni. Might try the potato salad next time, too. Just know if YOU go, take ear plugs, leave the children in the car, and make your own peach cobbler!
