Such a fun experience. I booked a class for National Margarita Day and brought along a guest with me. The moment we walked in we were greeted with such a lovely employee and she explained everything about Tipsy Scoop and how it came about. Then we got to taste every ice cream and sorbet they had to offer. The ice cream flavors were the winner of the flavors. We were told that if we wanted to go with just ice cream we could but the theme of this class was really focused on the Margarita flavors. So I decided to do a creamsicle sundae. After we had the intro of everything, another friendly employee took over for the remainder of the class. She gave us some suggestions on how to construct our sundaes and we got to pick two flavors to choose from. The end result, I would definitely do this class again because it was so fun to do by yourself or with a guest you will like to bring of your choice. It may be best to take it in the warmer months because at the end of the class you get to take home your glass with your creation or you could finish it on the spot and they give you a brand new glass to go in a box. I would have preferred to eat it and go but the weather did not call for that lol. So I purchased a cooler bag from them and boxed it up as good as I could and took it home. A few suggestions that I know for next time. Fill your glass up. You only get two options and if the options are not used up, you waste it. I believe they recycle the cups they carry the products in, so it must be returned. I would definitely bring a cooler or something because the sorbet melts really quickly and has a very smooth texture so it needs to be transported properly. I think the price I paid was a good one but I would definitely only pay a discount price, I don't think regular price is worth the class truthfully speaking. The ice cream is quite pricey but then again it does have alcohol in it. So there's that lol. Thumbs up and I will return for some of the other flavors of ice cream. So when I found myself in the area recently, I had to pop in for the new Lumiere Vodka sour caramel apple flavor in honor of National Vodka Day. Upon arrival, we almost passed the door, as is presence is nestled into a residential block with local small businesses. The decor has common elements of the other shops with its own eastside flair. Cute, quiant, and unpretentious. Now on to the ice cream... Much like the other flavors, it's rich creamy base is highlighted by delicious natural flavors with a hint of alcohol. Tipsy scoop is really delicious. I have been searching for a dark chocolate Jack Daniel's ice cream flavor that I had in a small ice cream shop in Middleburg, VA in the late 90s. Concept cool, execution lacking The ice cream with booze is a cool idea, and the alcohol content is actually quite high, meaning you will get a kick, especially a full cup which is probs equivalent to a light glass of wine. The issue with alcohol is that the melting point is a lot lower than ice cream, and that means the ice cream melts quite fast. For the caramel leche churro flavor, this means a syrupy semi thick texture with watery outsides, and the ice cream drips all over your hands. In addition, the watery mixture tends to be more of the alcohol, tasting quite strong and unpleasant. For flavors without the caramel like the whiskey chocolate, it gets watery very fast, and isn't pleasant to eat. Btw, fast melting means like seconds from the fridge, not a few minutes. If there was a way to maintain the properties of ice cream texture I think this would be really good. read more

For my flight, I got Mocha Rum, Spiked hazelnut coffee, cake batter vodka martini and the Bahama mama. The mocha rum was my absolute favorite because it was creamy and had a nice tint of rum flavor. My least favorite was the bahama mama, didn't feel like it for well in icecream form. My boyfriend got the dark chocolate whisky salted caramel, mint hot chocolate, waffle and whisky and vanilla bean bourbon. I tried all of his flavors as well and the mint hot chocolate definitely won. It was a delicious flavor of mint and chocolate. What I loved the most about this experience was the way these scoops were decorated. All of the scoops had a delicate decorative touch such as a brownie, mini cookies or a pretzel. The girl at the counter was super friendly which was nice. The shop itself is very small and only had a few high tables and stools so I can only imagine how packed this place gets on a warm day. We both got the 4 mini scoop flights. So impressed thar each scoop was dressed up with a fun add on like a gummy, flowers, sauce or sprinkles. Every flavor was delicious, but my faves were the Cake Batter Martini and the Strawberry White Sangria. Hubby liked the Dark Chocolate Whisky Salted Caramel, Minty Spiked Hot Chocolate and the Mocha Rum. I don't like Whisky at all and I also loved the Dark Chocolate Whisky Salted Caramel. My daughter and I have been planning a date here for years so we finally went on Seis de Mayo lol. I I opted for the flight which was $16 pretty reasonable -the place is small so go early or late or else you will be on a long line - the menu is easy to understand and colorful - the staff was friendly and explained everything well on the menu - they played reggaeton which I like but mix it up - okay now the flavors my fav was the hmm -strawberry sangria but needed more Gria lol, -The Don Julio they kept promoting on IG is a dairy base for my lactose intolerant friends, it was creamy and you tasted the Julio! -The raspberry was really sweet and the sprinkle of fruity pebbles was not needed - mango margarita was good but needed more Rita I'm guessing they only put less than a shot since it's supposed to infused but it's called Tipsy scoop for a reason. I was expecting a more alcohol taste to them but it was more of a hint or whisper!! - my take away is they need to clean up the stools and tables after every customer it was quite dirty with spills. - I don't know if I would return honestly it was on my bucket list and that's that! According to my partner two scoops is equivalent to a light beer. But I stand my ground and as my grandma would say: " where's the beef!?" I don't need to get plastered but a little buzz would have been nice. The ambience is cute but can only accommodate a few people at a time. TipsyScoop was so much fun! I attended the holiday SundaeMaking class where we made two sundaes: The Tequila Sunrise and the Whiskey Dreams. They provide all of the materials and you get to leave with a tipsy scoop glass! I honestly enjoyed sampling every flavor in the store, just as much as creating the sundaes. Tipsy scoop is known for having the highest alcohol content in their ice cream and this was not a lie. I definitely felt a little buzz when I left but overall it was such a fun experience. I did it as a solo date, but would highly recommend this as something to do with friends or as a couple. Make sure you try every flavor even if it sounds like it's something that you wouldn't like. My favorite flavors were the Coquito Dulce De Leche, Oreo Old Fashioned, Vanilla Bean Bourbon and the Gingerbread Martini. I'm planning to head back for another class in March. 10/10 recommend! I had my friend go out of our way on a hunt for boozy ice cream, and was extremely underwhelmed by the store front. This is a serious missed opportunity. If the ice cream wasn't so good, I would give this review 2 stars. I was really expecting something grand with cute picture opportunities, but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. At first, we thought the barlour was closed. We noticed other customers inside, so we tried the door and it was open. There was one girl working the counter and there was one freezer with the ice cream inside. It seems like they frequently run out of their toppings, due to excessive signage posted about toppings. There were only a few bar stools to sit down and eat, so it was really awkward for us. I loved all of the corny decor though! The girl working was friendly and answered all of our questions. The ice cream seriously tasted like the alcohol that was in it, but did not burn like a beverage would. The peanut butter screwball was flavorful and delicious!
