Fresh out of Macao Trading Co, which had my pockets on life support, we decided we needed some dessert. Even with my pockets fighting for every last breath, I spent $14 here and wasn't even mad. I FULLY LOADED my bowl with 3 flavors of yogurt: vanilla, cookies and cream, and birthday cake. Upon putting the birthday cake on, it was a deep artificial yellow which was a major cause for concern. However, upon trying it, I had to eat my words. It was delightful. One of my best personality traits is to admit when I'm wrong. I'm sorry for judging you based off your artificial coloring, birthday cake flavor. They have an abundance of toppings, honestly any kind of topping you could ever wane for. I decided to go with crushed vanilla wafers, oreos, and one gummy worm on top for purely aesthetic purposes. I am an artist. The crushed vanilla wafers were the MVP of the bowl, tying the whole thing together making it ELITE. It made me oddly reminiscent of how Steve Nash tied those Phoenix Suns teams in the mid-2000s. People love to forget about Steve Nash smh. Don't worry Steve, I won't let them forget. I DEMOLISHED this bowl like Sheldon Brown DEMOLISHED Reggie Bush on that swing pass back in 07. Drew Brees lowkey set Reggie up tho smh. This is EASILY my favorite frozen yogurt place in the city, but granted I haven't tried THAT many. Frozen Yogurt is my Achilles Heel!! It's bad that I live so close to this 16 Handles location, but I hope they stay forever! I love that you can start with a low calorie base - I usually go with whatever "No Sugar Added" option they have, which has often been the Cheesecake flavor. If that's not available the Mint Choco Chip is typically the next lowest. These have basically half the calories or less per serving than the regular options but the texture, taste and sweetness is basically the same. There's a method to my madness however, because now I absolutely LOAD it up on toppings. I'm talking cramming the large cup until its overflowing and ends up weighing a kilo. These are my favorites that give a perfect combination of freshness, texture and indulgence: - Strawberries / Bluberries - Crushed Oreos - Peanut Butter Cups - Brownie or Cheesecake Chunks - Granola - Crushed Graham Cracker Dust Then I absolutely DROWN the froyo with their NUTELLA on tap and finish with the PEANUT BUTTER DRIZZLE I can easily create a $20 FroYo cup here but its so dang delicious and decadent I keep coming back for more. I ate TWO LARGE CUPS back to back in my last visit (see photo of my masterpiece) PRO TIP: Put a layer of Nutella and Reeses Pieces on the bottom of your empty cup before you choose your froyo - Thank me later! The staff is super friendly. They are diligently cleaning up after customers and don't fret when people are dropping things everywhere. My middle-sized cup, only half-full and without any toppings, set me back almost $10--clearly, this is premium froyo, or my cup was secretly gold-plated. Highly recommend 16 Handles Tribeca location. Very pleasant experience. May seem confusing when you enter but the staff is very helpful. Must get a cup by the register. Everything is charged by the weight. Various choices of dairy, vegan, or frozen yogurt. I chose the vegan ice cream, which was absolutely amazing!!! My inner fat chic had me try one side heath toffee, the other side Oreo topping. As you can see in the pictures posted there is a wide variety of toppings. I met an employee there who was really nice and kindly showed me the flavors and recommended the euro tart and birthday cake. 10/10 experience and would go back again.
