Stopped in for some drinks and apps. Grabbed a tiki table and enjoyed the nice weather and boat watching. Some cold beers and wings. The Wings were Pretty good. Nothing super amazing but ok Service was good. No complaints there. Basic pub with great views and live music

    Delicious food

Went twice while on vacation. Case was great. Friendly and attentive. I had the fried shrimp and fries basket. The live music and waterfront view was great!

While on a quick trip to the area the Mrs.and I popped in for some lunch on the water. While it was cool that day they had clear plastic up and it did a nice job of breaking the wind. We got low table that allowed for the sun to peak in and provide some nice warmth! We both had a couple of Florida draft beers, their Cajun boiled peanuts, and a basket of wings and fries. Peanuts were really well seasoned. The fries were average coated French fries. The star of the day was with dry rub wings. Fresh not frozen( no dark bones) and cooked perfectly. The dry rub had a great balance of flavors. Service was awesome! Highly suggest if a waterside setting with beverages and bar style food is in the cards

Tipsy Tarpon has a great location with quick and friendly service! Sat outside on Tiki's and enjoyed the view! Tried the Redfish and Mahi baskets! This place has plenty of seating and area to lounge and socialize with friends. They were setting up for live music on a Saturday around noon.

Awesome atmosphere!! I'm so glad we stumbled upon this gem. Sat at an outdoor table in the sand and listened to live music. It was a whole vibe! Beer was cold and food was amazing. Definitely don't sleep on this place.

Great service so far. We are about to order food.

I met a friend here to catch up amd hang out. The location isnperfect! Fun relaxed atmosphere on the water. The food was your typical bar food nothing outstanding but it served it's purpose. Drinks were reasonably priced. The service was mediocre at best, some of the bartenders were more concerned with their cellphones than getting our order correct. To meet up with my friend I would come to the area again but would probably check out a few other places nearby first.

    Don't order here

We have come here many times for drinks. Don't order at the bar where it says order here. They never come there at all. We go to the side of the bar and have to wave to get service. After waiting some servers are friendly. Some servers won't even acknowledge you. This is a beautiful place for food and drinks but management needs a tune up.

The food was very good a served to us quickly. The blackened redfish was very tasty and a great value for the price. My stepson ordered a shrimp salad and it came with a TON of shrimp. Very delicious also. We loved sitting outside under the tiki hut. It felt like a real beach!

Enjoying the afternoon with my beautiful girlfriend.

Nice venue but the service and food is terrible. Can't believe someone would build such a cool place and run it so poorly. It's a shame!

The service was so friendly. Our server Maddie knew the entire menu and treated us fantastically. They added a gluten free and vegan menu. For Lil old homosassa....wow. the pierogis were delicious with perfectly roasted veggies. We also had the Mahi and wahoo fish dip. Some people did not enjoy it, but its a classic fish dip and I thought it was fresh. I had the chicken BLT and I loved it. Gourmet sandwhich. I tasted the parmesano shrimp and the fish. Holy Moly it was delicious, flakey and buttery. We definitely would recommend this. Its not a fancy place, its easy and casual but so delicious. Next time hopefully we can enjoy sitting out back.

It was super busy when we went our first time and it was not during happy hour on several occasions we have visited. We live close and visited here a bunch the first 2 years we moved to Ocala and have visited less and less since then. There have been several occasions we have stood at the bar waiting not only to be greeted but also waited very long times to receive our drinks. In their defense, many times the bartenders were busy attending to patrons or making drinks. However, there were several times some bartenders were just talking to friends or messing around. The drinks here are super detailed so they take some time and TLC. I will say, most times our drinks taste delicious and the presentations are magnificent! The decor is so cozy and the ambiance is consistent. Hubs and I absolutely love Tiki themed bars and fell in love with Hawaii after our visit years ago so this place is perfect for us. We also like this place because they are open later than most places in town. We recently visited for a nightcap and it was definitely different. I recently had referred someone here because she was looking for Hawaii themed food (they used to serve food) and she informed me they did not serve food. That sucks because we always meant to try it but never did. Looked good. When we recently visited, they did not have physical menus and were referred to QR code cards on the bar. Our bartender was attentive and helpful with choosing a drink during our recent visit. He actually went out of his way to make the orange peel twist in a perfect manner. I appreciated that! I was going to suggest to hubs we have another drink and then a roach crawled across the bar. I discreetly informed the bartender of the dead roach I killed when we closed out and he took it away. Usually this place is clean and tidy so I was surprised to witness the roach. They do have seating outside as well but we usually sit inside to listen to the themed music.

My mom was out of town so my dad and I went for an early Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, it was one of the kitchen's off nights as the calamari which is normally cooked perfectly came out rubbery and overdone. Wait staff offered to have the kitchen remake it but my dad wasn't sure it would come out any better the second time, depending on how the kitchen was timing or judging the cook. He opted to get the voodoo pasta which I had ordered as well. The chicken in the voodoo pasta was also overdone and on the chewy side due. Pasta sauce was definitely bland in comparison to the sauce from a special the week prior that our same waiter had said was actually the voodoo sauce. Sad that nothing came out how we'd hoped, especially on a celebration day. One last note for readers: the dining room to the back right of the restaurant is extremely loud and hard to hear even those you are dining with, regardless of the number of tables filled.

At the end of the night as we're getting ready to go back home, we went back for one last drink. We both presented valid, unexpired South Carolina driver's licenses that were genuine and in good condition. At the door, the bouncer told us they don't typically accept South Carolina IDs, but ultimately allowed us inside. When we went to order drinks, the bartender refused to serve us, claiming our IDs had "scanned as fake." When we questioned that, we were then told they didn't actually have an ID scanner. We even offered to have local law enforcement verify that our IDs were legitimate, but they still refused to serve us. We completely understand the importance of checking IDs and appreciate that businesses have to be cautious. However, being given conflicting explanations and feeling like our valid out of state IDs were dismissed without a legitimate verification process was frustrating and embarrassing. If there is an official policy regarding South Carolina IDs, it should be clearly communicated. If there isn't, I hope management addresses this so other visitors with valid out of state identification don't have the same experience.
