My review before my most recent interactions with Tire Discounters would have been a 4 or 5 star gushingly positive review. As you can see right now - 3 stars - it is not. This, in fact, is a weighted average. If it were only based on this recent experience, it would have been a 1.5 or 2 at best. Let's just say - from where I'm sitting - it seems that when the cat's away, the mice will play (and not work). The experience started off luke warm, but not really the fault of the TD. It was a crappy weather day - a couple hours before close - following a harrowing morning of bad weather that had resulted in most schools closing and level 1 emergency in Franklin Co. I was on my way to an event and saw I had tire issues. So all dressed and disappointed I would not be making my program, I went directly to TD, where I get all my tire work done. It's only a mile from the house and extremely convenient. And they are normally excellent with service - which is why they keep my loyalty. I was greeted by the GM who knew my make and model off the top of his head. Impressive - or perhaps I'm there with WAY too many tire issues. Probably both. I was told upfront they would mostly likely not be able to get my vehicle that night. OK. I already figured I would miss my program - now I just had to wait for the hubby to get me. In man-time, I should have know that 20-25 minutes would really be 50 . . . There literally was standing room only - and so I stood and waited for him. To this point, my experience was fine. BUT THE NEXT DAY - they open at 8 am and my expectation was that I was first in line. Apparently I was quite WRONG. So when I called after 11 am, they had not looked at my tire and I was supposedly next in line. Flash forward to when they finally call and tell me my tire is toast - I authorize the expenditure for a new tire - and wait some more. It's around 1 pm when it's finally done. I walk over to pay and pick up my car. So I walk in and there is no one in the cashier's area. There are 2 or 3 folks waiting on vehicles, but no one else. So I stand there about 7-10 minutes - and I can see guys in the service bay who can see me standing there. I finally, walk over the door to the bay and knock lightly on it, now seeing a guy sitting in a desk right on the other side. He sees me and yells at someone to go up front to wait on me. So I walk back to the other side of the register - AND WAIT. Like another 5 minutes, the whole time the mechanics in the bay standing and talking and seeing me wait. A guy finally comes up front to cash me out. No apology or even acknowledgement that I just stood and waited 15 minutes for the PLEASURE of paying them and getting my car. Needless to say, I did not see the GM anywhere. I also did not see anyone actually working while I was there. Will I return given this crappy service - probably, but only if I have reassurance of WHEN my car will be done and that I will be working with someone up front that I trust. read more

avoid this location robert the manager can not be trusted and do not leave your car there always wait on it and if they do the work take your car to get inspected after its done do not trust robert very rude and not honest they will take your money .i went there to get new tires last monday i made an appointment prior to coming . i asked robert to check the fromt end of my car before putting new tires on he wrote it down and said okay i took my car there around 0930 dropped it off i never heard from him i walked back to the store at 1730 the car was moved and he put tires on car with out calling me .they put tires on my car and did a alignment i asked him why he didnt call robert said there short staff and have only one master mechanic . something told me to take the car to get looked at i did comes to find out that i needed two controll arms which i replaced with them in 2o24 and there bad again in a year in a half i paid 1100 for them at another shop prior to getting them replaced i called robert to see was there something he could do he. told me no the company that they got parts from went out of business . so i had to get another alignment since i had new controll arms put on whent back to this location saturday morning which i made another appointment for 0930 i got there robert said to drop it off insaid im going to wait on myncar he instantly got mad and told well your going to be here all day then im already upset because this all could of been avoided if they would checked the front end like i requested. robert then went into the garage and started yelling saying bad things about me thinking i could not here him. he then came back out and to me to get tf out of his store in the showroom and he will not be serviceing my car then threw my keys at me. so i left i then took the car to another store once they put car on alignment machine the mechanic then came and told me that the car could not be alined properly due to the fact that the tire rods inner and outer need replaced on both sides and that so i made an appointment for the next day to have them replace them. robert said monday prior tomall this that the alignment was good but never showed me proof he lied . i spent a total of 3000 dollars in a week on my car including tires . this could of been avoided if robert would have told the truth and checked my car properly if instead he sold me a dream and got mad because i found out he lied . pleaese dont go to this location and becareful getting there parts too they put cheap parts on your car that will go out in a year. do not trust robert wait for your car dont leave it. avoid thid location stelzer rd tire discounters by all means . dont trust robert the store manager he will lie to your face just to get your money . thats a very bad store avoid it if you can . read more

Back for the 4th time this month, for them to REDO my CV axles that was done a few weeks ago. Maybe cheap parts used? Very disorganized, terrible customer service And lack of communication. Literally had to take it to another repair shop for them to confirm the faulty repair/parts. Very dissatisfied. Will not be back read more

The guys here are amazing! We got all new tires on Saturday. On Wednesday discovered a big screw in 1 of the brand new tires. We rushed in and arrived at closing. They swapped the tire out with no problem. They even stayed late to do so. I am so grateful they were willing to help us. They could have easily said no. Thanks so much guys! I normally go with another tire company a few miles down the road but decided to give this place a try since it's a little closer. I had a flat & the spare was on the car. I took it in and was happy that they worked me in fairly quickly without an appointment. I'm grateful for that because I'd just worked all night on a 12 hour shift. When I was leaving I noticed the low tire pressure light was still lit on the car. I went back in to let the gentleman know and he assured me it would go out after about 20 miles. That has not happened yet. What's worse is that the next day I went to the grocery store and was about to put my groceries in the trunk when I found the spare tire sitting in my trunk instead of back where it belongs. It would seem to me to be part of the service to put it back. There I stood in the rain getting dirt all over me while I struggled to get the tire up and out of the trunk and then back under the trunk bottom where it belongs. Overall very disappointing because as I sat there waiting for my car, I was happy to see the signs saying they do oil changes and had planned on using them in the future. Not anymore. Edited: I went to my dealership who found the tire had not been reinflated to 36 pounds. The dealership put the proper amount of air i it & the sensor went off. As of now, it is holding at the 36 pounds the dealership put in it. This wouldn't be an instance of a slow leak because if that was the case the light would have gone off and then come back on. It never turned off after I left Tire Discounters. Additionally, I called Tire Discounters before I took it to the dealership to tell them this & was told over the phone that the sensor was probably bad and would be $75 to replace. read more

In addition to a poor check in experience where the associate was blatantly disregarding my questions and requests, when I returned at the time they quoted for my service to be complete, I found that they had not even started my vehicle. My tire pressure light came on recently and I remembered that they check your tire pressure and put air in your tire for you (I wrote a tip saying exactly that, how could I forget? Lol). You simply have to drive up to the first garage opening, wait a little for someone to come and check you out and, BOOM! You're on your way. I really appreciate the ease of this whole process. I am even aware that I am due to get new tires and they didn't stalk me to tell me that. Which is why I'll probably get them from here! I went into the establishment around 6pm and the place was extremely busy. There was one guy handling the register, getting cars that were completed to customers and taking phone calls. His name was Nate Keating. When he was finally able to greet me, he was very pleasant and seemed eager to help. I asked him to present me with as many available options of tires for my car, so I could make an educated purchase. He showed me several tires and gave me all of the specifications. Mr. Keating was very knowledgeable and did not pressure me to make any kind of purchase with them. In fact, he suggested I shop around, to see if any other shop could match or beat them. I visited other shops, but they didn't seem as enthused and did not wish to match the price, for what he was willing to offer. I was thrilled to have such great customer service and the quality of tires placed on my vehicle, and will definitely remain a customer of this location. Since I drive for 2 rideshare companies, I need great quality tires and he offered several discounts that helped make my purchase, even easier to appreciate. Very disrespectful. There is no other way to start this. I bought tires here about a year ago. I was told I can always come back for air. I have come back time and time again to get air in my tires as it is needed. I have always pulled right up to the bay and walked in and asked for air. They happily come out put air in my tires and give me an estimate about when I should get new ones. Today I came to get air. I pulled up to a bay door and was asked to move because they were pulling in a vehicle. Sure, understandable. I then pull in front of another bay door and park. I walk in and ask if I could get some air. The gentleman who was pulling the other vehicle in began to pound on a small sign that read please do not park in front of the bay. I had missed that sign. I then could hear him from the lobby say, "man people are stupid." I ask the guy inside if I could get air and he started on how some guy parked in front of the bay and disappeared for half and hour. I asked him if I could just get some air in one tire. He looked at me and rudely said, "you can go park your car and bring me the keys and then I'll pull it for air." I was like, you've got to be kidding me. I just need air in one tire. This exact location, even the guy who I talked to, has got me air plenty of times. I did not feel like I was treated with respect or care. Unfortunately, I will not be buying my next tires at this location. I am not the guy who disappeared for half an hour. Lost lug nuts and scratched the rims where the tires were taken off. Were not responsive and did not call back to update us. Upon inspection they also did not place the spare back where it belonged. When I called for an update (husband was busy) manager was incredibly rude and defensive, gave me the impression that this happens often. Maybe they will see the photo I wanted to send them through this review? Go somewhere else, the damage to my vehicle and the run around of bringing it back is not worth it. read more

Meh. They got me in and out the same day I called; tires seem to be OK so far, including a recent 4-hr road trip and back. That's probably the best I can say. Now, I've thought about this and I'm still not sure why they call themselves "Discounters" because nothing seemed to be a discount. In fact, it was all pretty comparable to any tire place I've ever been in. Be prepared to be upsold on the tires that are in stock and for the pitch to get their hazard protection. It wasn't overly aggressive at first, more like it was casually offered and I declined, and then I was told again after handing over the keys to "give it a little more thought 'cause it's a great protection service." Sure, whatever. Then when I picked up the car I was asked sort of casually again if I'd given it any more thought. Again I declined. "You sure?" Yes, Goddamnit. Still sure. "What if I split the cost with you?" What does "split" even mean? (Vague mumbly answer.) I'll pass. Not sure I'll be back or not when my other car needs tires, which will be within a year. There would have to be a really good deal to make me not try somewhere else. I'd even pay a little more to avoid the gnawing feeling that I was being worked. read more

They did a good job. The guys that helped me were very professional and knowledgeable. Two problems keep me from giving them 5 stars. 1) there was a $100 promotion on the tires I chose but they only knew about the $75 one. Minor issue but its still money. 2) Later that day I got a low tire pressure light. Turns out one of my valve stems was not tightened. I had to return to the shop to get it fixed. I've used TD in the past and know their history as a quality Ohio based company. I had two tires that were cracking and on the edge of failure so I used their website to shop, get an estimate and schedule an appointment. After arriving they did a quick inspection and recommended replacing all 4 since the rear tires still had good tread but were going on 9 years old. Added discounts and services made this full replacement an easy choice. My car was quickly pulled into a bay and they got to work getting it done in a little over an hour. I was a little surprised that they filled the tires with nitrogen without offering me the choice, but C'est la vie. As for a customer waiting area, it's fine if you're in for a quick oil change but leaves little for comfort if you're waiting longer on a smattering of metal chairs and an empty pot of coffee. You could spend a lot of time shopping around for the best 'deal' on tires and I'm sure there are places that are cheaper but for combination of price, service and convenience this location got new rubber on my Elemental before the snow flies.... read more

It is poor customer service when the customer has to tell the guy at the desk that your own car is complete. It is also poor customer service to make that same customer wait an additional 15 minutes to check out while waiting on new customers who walk in. Next time, I will go to the dealership service center. I might pay a little more but they value my time. read more

I came here today because I was having a tire problem on my way to school to take an exam (I know, a fantastic start).. after looking over my car, he gave me the bad news: you need a new tire. ...ok... so I kinda expected it.. after filling it up with air and to see it deflate just as fast as I filled it up, I thought that I just might need a new one (I was just being hopeful, thats all)... Anyways, after the inspection and showing me the ugly gash on the problem tire, I gave the green light to have it replaced. Then another bad news: they did not have my tire size anywhere in the store. Okay, was upset before and now I'm just sad :( But after doing some looking and discussing with the other tire guys, they were able to work around the size issue and got me on my way so I can go take my exam finally. I really appreciated that the guys at TireDiscounters really worked with my situation and was informative and diligent from start to finish. I hope that I won't run into any tire problems anytime soon, but when I do, I will be coming back here :) read more

ALWAYS NICE! Although I'm a very cheap person, there is not another place I would take my car for a serious repair. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and I don't feel as if they are trying to bamboozle me into something I really don't need, like most other places. I feel pretty comfortable coming here without my husband for that reason. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Refreshing to find honesty and professionalism in this business. These guys greeted me immediately (the place was packed) and told me they would be a minute, but at least acknowledged me. I got an appointment for the next am. I was in and out within one hour! They gave me some suggestions on how to be safe - pulled a hazard out of my tire, and told me what to watch for. I didn't feel pressure to buy anything. This place is great. I've been to 2 different tire places around Columbus and no one had my tire and had to order it which is fine. Both other places said 1-2 days but when I would come back they wouldn't have it and said it would take more time. Came into Tire Discounters yesterday late afternoon, Sonny found the tire I need told me what time it would be here, it got here when he said it would, talked to me about the different types of tires (because I literally know nothing) and was super helpful and knowledgeable! I've used Tire discounters a few times in the past, I took my car to them for an alignment and a hub replacement. They were very kind and upfront about the work that needed to be done and my total cost was about $100 less than what they were estimating. I always appreciate honesty especially when it comes to business transaction. I will be coming to them from here on out for all of my vehicle needs. Alright deal on tires but it took 6 hours to mount and align. No it wasn't busy when I went in. Also they did not replace my tire pressure monitor in my tires so I still have a dash light on. And missing valve stem covers! I like the tires but wish I would have spent $2000 elsewhere. read more

Overpriced. I went there a few times just to do little check ups and both times they were very over priced. I needed to get break pads and new rotors installed and all together it was 300+. I went over to Chapins Auto Service and got it done for 150. I saved a lot more cash there and I'm glad that I chose to look for other options. read more

This location lost my boyfriends keys which resulted in him having to get a completely new key made through a dealership. Tire Discounters refused to acknowledge that they had any part in losing the key (even though they had the lanyard as well as the key fob) and they didn't apologize or offer a discount of any kind. Finally when my boyfriend brought in the new key after a few days the employees were claiming the car wouldn't start with the new key. At this point the car was taken to a different establishhment which was able to fix the breaks in about a day after the car sat at Tire Discounters with no progress for a week. Turns out the car wouldn't start because the battery was dead. Had nothing to do with the new key as they had claimed. Moral of the story: only use Tire Discounters for tire problems, never rely on them for mechanical work. read more

This location is a mess -- I can't help but worry their work could be substandard and my car will not be safe. The managers have no idea what is going on, they are overbooking and don't know what mechanics are doing. They are not even answering the phone. My car was promised at noon, then 2. It's still not done at 4 and they say I'll have it back before midnight. I now have no transportation. I missed some important family events today. That makes me unhappy. But, more importantly, I'm concerned that this incompetence carries over to the work quality. How can I trust that my car will be safe to drive? read more

Very happy with my experience. I needed a tire repair and as you could guess, it's important but also something that just comes up. I went to a nearby tire store and the wait was going to be up to FIVE hours. I called this store and Nate was very nice and said he could get me in. I arrived and they were very busy with people coming in and out and phones ringing non stop. Even with them being busy, they got me finished in about an hour. They were very appreciative of my patience but honestly expected it to be a longer wait and was very pleased with how fast they got it done and how nice everyone was. If you value your time and money run away from this place as fast as you can. Let me set the scene it is July 6th i have a nail in the middle of my back tire and but it isn't losing air so I call to see if they have any opening the next day July 7th. I am told without hesitation "yes we will have time for that" I ask when do you want me to come in they say " between 8am and 9am" ( This is when they open) Then I am told it will be finished around 12pm. I thought this sounded a bit insane for a the time it takes to patch a tire, but I say ok. I show up at 8am drop off my car and am told again should be done before noon. I am also told that I may need 2 new tires. (go figure Im being sold more than I need) Mind you they haven't even taken my car in and I am already being sold tires as if mine is non repairable. I tell them I have been told by several people it just needs a patch and I am not interested in buying new tires at the moment. Fast forward its noon I am sitting at the coffee shop nearby, I call and ask if its ready and I am told they haven't even looked at it yet. ITS BEEN 4 HOURS! At that moment I say " we talked yesterday and you said you could do it if I come early which is why i came at 8am?" He continues to say that the appointments they had booked all showed up and thats why they didn't do it" I felt lied to and like my time was taken advantage of. I walked to the store and took me business elsewhere, and will never go back again to a tire discounters. The customer service felt pushy, judgmental, and money hungry. I am a young girl who obviously didn't know much about cars, and I think that was noticed and acted upon. I took my business minutes later to The Tire Choice on West Broad St where Daniel B the Manager had my tire fixed as needed and me back on the road in less than 30 minutes. They were very friendly and the cost was right. Please do not waste you day waiting for you car to be fixed just to be over sold and unhappy. read more

Made an appointment in person for an oil change on my Toyota Camery for the next day, the staff person knew it was a Toyota. Next day I'm in, same staff person is there. They take my car in and work on it for 40 minutes before telling me the filter is on too tight and they can't change the oil - giving me stories of previous busted Toyota filters. I spoke with the non-dealer that changed it last time, they needed a tool that costs 180 bucks to change it and some shops are too cheap to stock it. I'm not happy they decided to waste my time to find out if they could make money off me before figuring out they couldn't change the oil. Won't be back here again. read more

Probably the most terrible experience ever. For two days straight I was inconvenienced with horrible customer service and time estimates. Both days the manager promised me certain times and didn't fall through even with an appointment. To make matters worse, they got upset and EXTREMELY RUDE bc I complained about being inconvenienced. At least most companies offer some type of compensation, with them NOTHING. Although, I paid $1100 cash for brand new tires and wheels. NEVER doing business at this location again. read more

On Saturday April 22, 2017 I went into Tire Discounters extremely disappointed. Customer services was lacking from start to finish. There are two tire places at Easton Town Center. Originally, I thought my appointment was with Discount Tire, with whom I have done a lot of business with. Discount Tire checked the tread of all my tires and stated since the car is less than a year old, with low miles all the tires were in good shape besides the tire that I blew out by hitting a rock. (Even though I already knew this information with a close relative being a car fanatic) Discount Tire also warned me about Tire Discounters notorious high pressured sales tactics. Then behold, I arrived at Tire Discounters receiving high pressured sales tactics. The front counter gentlemen pushed and pushed trying to convince me to buy 4 tires vs 1 tire. He pushed to the point that he created an extremely uncomfortable situation. I told the gentlemen "Look, I understand and respect that you are trying to do your job but I'm only interested in the 1 tire, that's it" Afterwards he still continued to push and push until I checked out then he tried to push one last final time before I left the location. (I'm not sure if the employees at Tire Discounters are on commissions....but as a Director of an Organization that manages multiple employees and is responsible for the overall Operations...there is a fine difference between sales and being completely overbearing as well as almost sales hostile. The situation was so bad at my employer, I'm talking to my sales department on how not to treat a customer) He then advised me that if I don't believe him on replacing all 4 tires then I should call the Chevy dealership and ask them about changing all 4 tires.....My car isn't even a Chevy... I told this gentlemen no more than 5 times easily. Which at this point he lost all credibility as I didn't feel he was very knowledgeable. After receiving such a bad experience, I go to my car and leave the location then I noticed the rubber seal was not placed back on the donut tire that goes underneath my car. I entered back into the location and ask for the donut tire seal to be placed back on. Upon, entering back inside Tire Discounters, I received a vibe from the employees that it was an inconvenience to complete the task... although they did it anyways. Now here is the kicker..... after making a few runs and returning home it was noticed that the spare tire wasn't place back on correctly. The tire was literally HANGING inches from the ground. BIG Liability! If I would have hit a bump in the road, made a sharp turn, the spare tire would have fallen off and could have caused a major accident, flip the vehicle if hit at the right angel and it would have caused major harm to myself or someone else After this overall experience, I will never use the company again and I will refer all my friends and family not use this company as well...the high sales tactics was extremely annoying but the spare tire not being placed on correct could have created a devastating accident. read more

was leaving for work and noticed I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Stopped by TD since they are around the corner and conveniently on my way to work. Got a quick patch and was back on the road in no time. They didn't charge me anything for the patch, so I came back after work because I needed my power steering fluid flushed and filled. They were very professional, friendly and pretty quick on getting things done. read more

I brought my car into Tire Discounters to have a diagnostic done and an oil change. the diagnostic was due to my "service engine soon" and "brake" lights both being on. Initially, I received great feedback about what was ailing my car and was happy that I had chosen the store. As it got closer to 7:00pm (closing time), I had not yet received a call back from the store letting me know that my car's repairs had been completed so I had my wife drop me off. I had been told earlier in the day that my car would be ready by closing time and that the repairs I had requested would be complete. Unfortunately, when I got to the store, all of the repairs that were agreed upon were not complete. I had not received a call from the store letting me know that all repairs would not be completed. Additionally, although the oil change had been completed, the "check engine light" was still on and no real attempt was made to fix it. I was even told by one of the mechanics that I could either "attempt to fix it myself" or "wait until I brought my car back for completed repairs" in order to have the light turned off. Although the gentlemen at the store were nice enough, I did not feel a sense of urgency when it came to keeping me abreast of my car's status and fixing the issues. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them and will likely take my car needs elsewhere. read more
