I was originally quoted one price for the repair, but later I was told the cost went up because I "needed hoses added," with no clear explanation or proof provided for why those parts were necessary. There was no documentation, no visual inspection shown, and no real breakdown to justify the added work--just a verbal claim that it was required. On top of that, the final charge ended up being more than 3x what the same OEM part is listed for at Ford, which raises serious concerns about how the pricing was marked up and presented. The issues didn't stop there. This happened on a Friday. I was told my car would be ready before 4:00 PM, but around 4:30 PM I only received a last-minute text update. I arrived at approximately 5:09 PM, and the shop was already closed. There was no one available, no way to speak to anyone, and no reliable way to get updates or access my vehicle. Because of the timing and the fact that it was already Friday evening, my car would have been stuck there all weekend until Monday, which directly affected my work schedule. I had to go out of my way to find and contact the owner myself just to avoid being left without my vehicle for multiple days. While I did get my car back, the overall experience felt inconsistent, poorly communicated, and not handled in a transparent or professional way

It got so bad that my vehicle started smoking heavily and left me stranded on the side of the road. What makes this situation even worse is that I had a newborn baby with me when this happened. Being stuck on the roadside with a smoking vehicle and a newborn child was terrifying and completely unacceptable. My family's safety was put at risk because of what appears to have been poor service performed at this location. After I returned for help, I was told someone would contact me about the issue. No one ever called. No one followed up. No one checked to see if I was okay or if my vehicle was safe to drive. The lack of concern and customer service has been unbelievable. The situation became so serious that when I brought the vehicle near another Take 5 location, employees were hesitant to even touch it because of how badly the vehicle was overheating and smoking. That alone should tell you how serious this issue is. Based on my experience, I do not feel the technicians at this location are properly trained or knowledgeable enough to be working on customers' vehicles. A routine oil change should never result in a vehicle overheating, smoking, and leaving a customer stranded. Please stay away from this location. My experience has been stressful, dangerous, and frustrating from start to finish. Instead of taking responsibility and helping resolve the problem, they ignored the situation and left me dealing with the consequences on my own. I expect Take 5 to investigate this matter, contact me immediately, and take responsibility for the damages and hardship this situation has caused. The owner is a local member of our community, active in scouts and sports. I had already had two estimates for brakes and tires before I landed here. This location gave me a better price on tires than even Walmart & did a much better job.

    5 Stars to absolutely impeccable service in a moment of panic…read more Ok, so to set the scene, I was broken down on the highway and got towed to this Midas almost in tears because I was 2.5 hours from home and am auto-illiterate. We called the Midas while waiting for the tow truck and Andrew answered. This is where the 5 star experience started. Andrew was kind on the phone and when we arrived continued to be responsive, super clear and honest, and made an effort to include me in the discussion (versus ignoring me and talking directly to my husband). Ultimately, after checking the issue, it was clear that it was not going to be a quick fix. Andrew explained the problem, talked about possible solutions (with approximate costs and timeframes), and consulted on his recommendation (that wouldn't earn them any more money, btw). I felt like I could trust him and was so thankful. They had a sign in the lobby that referenced their dedication to good service and I have to say this was the best I've ever been treated at an auto shop. If I lived closer, this would be my go-to spot!
