On top of that, the final charge ended up being more than 3x what the same OEM part is listed for at Ford, which raises serious concerns about how the pricing was marked up and presented. The issues didn't stop there. This happened on a Friday. I was told my car would be ready before 4:00 PM, but around 4:30 PM I only received a last-minute text update. I arrived at approximately 5:09 PM, and the shop was already closed. There was no one available, no way to speak to anyone, and no reliable way to get updates or access my vehicle. Because of the timing and the fact that it was already Friday evening, my car would have been stuck there all weekend until Monday, which directly affected my work schedule. I had to go out of my way to find and contact the owner myself just to avoid being left without my vehicle for multiple days. Today I went to…read morea certified mechanic and was informed that the bolts that hold the oil shield in place had been so overtightened by the Take 5 incompetents that only one could be removed and the other 3 had to be cut off. I went to see Geno at Take 5 and he was unhelpful, rude, and basically said that they had no responsibility since the other shop had touched it last!! He would not even let me file a claim saying " I am the claim department".So now I'm on the hook for at least $350 in labor to fix the mess made at Take 5. Beware!! Do not use this company! Also, every time you go, there are new people working there: high turnover means poor management and low-skilled staff. Beware!!!

It got so bad that my vehicle started smoking heavily and left me stranded on the side of the road. What makes this situation even worse is that I had a newborn baby with me when this happened. Being stuck on the roadside with a smoking vehicle and a newborn child was terrifying and completely unacceptable. My family's safety was put at risk because of what appears to have been poor service performed at this location. After I returned for help, I was told someone would contact me about the issue. No one ever called. No one followed up. No one checked to see if I was okay or if my vehicle was safe to drive. The lack of concern and customer service has been unbelievable. The situation became so serious that when I brought the vehicle near another Take 5 location, employees were hesitant to even touch it because of how badly the vehicle was overheating and smoking. That alone should tell you how serious this issue is. Based on my experience, I do not feel the technicians at this location are properly trained or knowledgeable enough to be working on customers' vehicles. A routine oil change should never result in a vehicle overheating, smoking, and leaving a customer stranded. Please stay away from this location. My experience has been stressful, dangerous, and frustrating from start to finish. Instead of taking responsibility and helping resolve the problem, they ignored the situation and left me dealing with the consequences on my own. On 4/22 I took my car in purchased 4 new tires & paid for an alignment to be done. After picking my…read morevehicle the tire pressure monitor light came on. I went into the settings and reset it manually on my vehicle. Usually that does the trick. After 20 resets, I took it back to the shop. Julio and Sean were at the front desk when I went in. Julio had the guys check the tire pressures and said it should be fine. I drove it 3 mins down the road and the light came back on. I drove back to the shop where Julio stated "this type of vehicle ( Honda accord 2022) does not have sensors that can be damaged while installing new tires" take it to your dealership see what they tell you. It does not seem justifiable to take the vehicle to a different dealership. When the job was done at Firestone on 14th. Waiting to speak to the manager.

We called the Midas while waiting for the tow truck and Andrew answered. This is where the 5 star experience started. Andrew was kind on the phone and when we arrived continued to be responsive, super clear and honest, and made an effort to include me in the discussion (versus ignoring me and talking directly to my husband). Ultimately, after checking the issue, it was clear that it was not going to be a quick fix. Andrew explained the problem, talked about possible solutions (with approximate costs and timeframes), and consulted on his recommendation (that wouldn't earn them any more money, btw). I felt like I could trust him and was so thankful. They had a sign in the lobby that referenced their dedication to good service and I have to say this was the best I've ever been treated at an auto shop. If I lived closer, this would be my go-to spot!

Once they determined the oil pan itself also had to be replaced, I searched online for the part, discovering such for $39.95 at a nearby auto parts store. THIS I verbally approved. At no time was I provided a written estimate for this work. When the car was ready, I was presented a bill for over eight hundred dollars. I objected but, obviously, had to pay. I don't think that is right or legal and I will not be back there again.
