Seekonk, MA Tire Pro store Stay away from these idiots, I had two tires installed on my vehicle, the inexperienced mechanic took the good tires off and rotated the bad tires with no thread life to the front, these people endangered my wife and my children by putting the bad tires in the front of her vehicle, disposed of the good tires she had on the vehicle and installed the new tires in the rear, absolutely no common sense and ignorant to the safety of the people who would be driving the vehicle and after pointing out the mistake they did, they wouldn't replace the good tires they had disposed of and telling us they would only replace one and we would have to purchase the other from them, not even an apology of their screw up either. My 85 year old father in law went to Tire Pros to replace the tires on his Honda CRV. Tire Pros sold him a set of tires, put them on, and my father in law drives home. He lives close by so he doesn't really notice anything. Then, about a week later, he takes the car on the highway for the first time and the car doesn't drive the same, has some shimmy, and tremendous road noise. He tells me about it, I look at the car, and the tread pattern looked more like something you would find on a Jeep Wrangler instead of a CRV. I told him, "They look like truck tires. You need to go back to Tire Pros and have them put different tires on." He goes back to Tire Pros, and they wouldn't do a thing. Wouldn't exchange them, wouldn't issue a partial credit, nothing. My father in law took the car to his normal mechanic, who confirmed that the tires were truck tires and explained that the reason the car handled differently was because the tires were were heavier, thicker sidewalls to handle the additional weight of a truck with cargo. He wound up putting the correct tires on the car, which handles, sounds, and drives beautifully - and my father in law has a nearly new set of truck tires for sale on Craig's list. I used to like this place. I had the oil in my truck changed about 8 months ago. I brought the truck back to complain that the truck was leaking oil on my driveway as it never leaked before ( coming from the oil plug) I waited while they fixed the leak. I thought all was good until I brought the truck to another place recently to have the oil changed. The mechanic had to use an impact gun to remove the oil plug ! It was that tight! The oil filter used was not even for my vehicle! I thought it looked rather small. I gave them one star because they did ok with the tire work. read more

New set of hands- terrible. Used this place for years and now its nothing more than a corporate business. Brought my vehicle in for a flat tire and was told I needed a new tired (hole too big to fix) and also needed 3 new tires. I was there for a tire not a whole new set. Was told 1-2 days to get a new tire in and when asked which it would be the answer came to 1 day. I called the next day and spoke to a man who said the truck hasn't come yet, placed me on hold and another gentleman said the truck just came. My vehicle should be ready in an hour and a half but they'll call me.... I heard nothing so I call and my vehicle's tire is mounted but not on, they need another 45 minutes..... Come in for an "appointment" for them to just check out the issue and let me know what the issues is and they act like I didn't speak to someone a day prior for that appointment. I have to give them three because they were so helpful when ordering tires for a lowered mustang that were smaller than stock. They were fast and friendly and very helpful to a guy on a tight budget. My reason for only three stars? Absurdly over-tightened lugnuts on my near antique alloy wheels. The very next day I had a pulse in the front brakes. When I went to remove the wheels I couldn't budge them with a 450 ft pound impact gun. I ended up with a 2 foot pipe on a 3 foot breaker to free them. Lugs were overtightened to the point the brake rotors were deformed. FYI, fox mustang lug nuts should be between 85-105 ft lbs, not 600. Yeah, I should have called and complained or taken it back but I chalked it up to live and learn. I figured if they were lazy with best standard practice the first time they wouldn't be any happier about it the next time. That aside the tires are balanced well and the alignment guy hit it right on the nose and the price can't be beat. Just make sure you ask them to hand tighten your wheels with the proper tool or to at least be careful. I understand time is money and zipping the wheels on with an impact gun is by far the fastest and easiest method it can also be done without warping your brake rotors, or your 23 year old pony wheels. read more

I used tire pros on and off for the last 3 years, mostly tire changes, ie. Winter tire changes on both of me and my wife's car. Service here is basically clinical and unfriendly. Also, be prepared to wait, and I mean wait for your car to be ready for something simple like tire changes. --They seem to have trouble with newer model cars. It's better to drop your car off, because on a few occasions they told me it would be 1hr and 2.5 hours later I'd be asking if my car is finally ready, making me late for appointments. I visited them mostly because it is a newer facility and close to my home. However, that is changing after my LAST service with them today. My wife's SUV was due for an oil change at 70k miles (standard oil change) and I was turning over the tires to summer sport tires. Then 7 hours later I got a call to come get my car and we headed over to pick it up. Guess what, the service indicator message was not reset?!? Seriously, what professional auto mechanic shop returns someone's car that is due for service with the service indicator light still on. So I asked them to reset it. They had no idea what they were doing. They had 3 guys try and do it and I waited another 30 minutes to have them say that they don't know how to do it. Needless to say, I was angry and the service manager said their "guy" that knows how to work on my type of car was not in today. Then why schedule a service for a customer if your "guy" who knows how to work on this type of car isn't going to be in? I did swear and said this is f******* unacceptable and that I would go online and figure out how to do it. And the service manager had the nerve to get in my face and say that I should not swear at him. Nice strategy trying to deflect the situation from the real problem! He told me I could come in Monday and get my car indicator light reset and I said "no thanks, I've had enough problems with the service at Tire Pros and I won't be coming back ever!" And I will be spreading the word. So my recommendation is to stay away from this business if you have a newer model car that you care about, or if you don't have all the time in the world to wait for your car. So how did this story end? I drove home, fired up this thing called an iPhone and stepped thru the instructions in 5 minutes on how to reset the service indicator message. Amateur hour. read more

I've come here several times because I work down the street. Overall the staff are extremely friendly, courteous and patient. I bought my new tires here over the winter and when I've had some imbalance issues the past few months they took care of it for me. They also have dropped me off and picked me up from work when needed. I think their prices seem mostly fair. There have been a few things they quoted me on and then later on the quote was different but they're pretty good about honoring what they've told you. The last visit was a little frustrating (miscommunication and not listening to everything I said) but I'm hoping it was just an off visit as all other times I haven't had any issues. Even as frustrating as the last visit was they were accommodating and met me half way when things ended up being more than I anticipated. I will continue to come back for sure. I trust them with my car and the work that they've done has been great. read more

Can't say enough good about these guys. I will take every vehicle I ever own, and all of my company trucks, to them. Long story short.... Friend: I have a flat tire, TFT says it can't be patched and will cost $218 just for the tire Me: hold on (calls Tire Pros) ....back and forth nonsense..... I go with her to pick the rim up from TFT and take it to Tire Pro. The man who helped me over the phone, Tony, came out, looked at the tire, and said they could PATCH it!!! Cost her $25, saving over $200. She's a teacher with 2 small kids, $200 is A LOT of money for her right now. So thankful they could help her. They could have told her she needed a new tire. Amateur hour at this place. Brought it in for a pinging noise and even after taking the mechanic for spin, they tried to convince me it was a "rattle" from the catalytic convertor. The "rattle" noise they tried to recreate by hitting my car with a sledge hammer right in front of me. Took it elsewhere, was a loose u-bolt on the the transmission. $25 fixed. After a recent misdiagnosed problem costing me in excess of $500, I will NEVER return. I have been going to Tire Pros, Smithfield location since 2009. My experiences here have been nothing less than perfect! I only let Tire Pros touch my car. They have been very honest with me. If they feel something needs to be replaced, they let me know; if they feel something can wait to be replaced, they tell me so. If I have a problem with my car, they are more than willing to take a look at it for me. I have never had a problem with any of the staff. They are very friendly, attentive and honest. In the last two months I had two tire issues on my car. The first time I had three nails in my tire, the second time I drove through tar and it got caked on my tire. Both times I immediately called Tire Pros who told me to just stop by -- no appointment needed. Both times they were able to fix the tires vs selling me new tires. I would have easily purchased a new tires if they told me it was necessary, and the tires cost $300 a piece. If there is one thing I can say about Tire Pros, I can say they are HONEST... Half ass labor and WAY over priced. I took my GT Mustang in for a tune up as I had a check engine light on and had a misfire in one of my cylinders. They replaced all spark plugs and a coil and gave me an oil change for $600. They also cross threaded one of the spark plugs which caused me to blow the head on mustang. Their mistake cost me an extra $800 in repairs and my Mustang has never run the same since I blew my head thanks to the wonderful repair work of Tire Pros in Smithfield. Will NEVER return. read more

First off, I usually never write reviews for anything but this terrible experience had prompted me to do so. I went to Tire Pros figuring they were professionals and since they were a local business I wanted to help out the community by purchasing here instead of a large store. I went to Tire Pros to get new tires for my car and an alignment. I paid for the tires, got them mounted, etc. When I got my car back I decided to test out the tires on the highway. After doing so I noticed a considerable shake in the front of my car which was never there before. Clearly, I was a little upset but am open to people making mistakes. I went back, explained the situation to Tire Pros and at first they claimed I was driving "too fast" which is why it was shaking. Let me just say, any business that questions the customer's "driving habits" should really change the way they do business. Anyway, I waited about an hour and a half, and got the car back. Sure enough, it was still shaking which made me even more upset. To save you from having to read more, I repeated this process 3 additional times, making a total of 5 visits to Tire Pros which a combined time sitting there for about 10 HOURS. Each time I went, there were things wrong with my car, missing tire pressure caps, the tire pressure of my tires not at the correct level, continued front end shaking, tires out of alignment and once the hood wasn't shut all the way ( I don't know why they were under the hood). While I do recognize they agreed to fixing my car each time, there seemed to be a different problem after each visit. This company is extremely unprofessional and has no idea what they are talking about. They eventually "fixed" my tire problem and gave me a free oil change, WOO HOO!! Also, when I demanded some of my money back they refused and claimed "It would be worth my while if I came back." They don't realize I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. You would be better off going anywhere else but here unless you want to have an experience like mine..... read more
