So of course, I got a nail in my tire which resulted in a very flat tire. I had to install the emergency spare tire and called around tire shops to see if anyone was open on Sundays. Fortunately, this tire shop was not only open on a Sunday, but at 8am! I called them and was quoted $20 for a patch. I showed up and was immediately helped by Isaac! They do the tire change and installation right in front of you so no need to worry about anything shady going on. Came here for some used tires and I have mixed feelings about my experience at Stan's. From a service standpoint they were nice were nice. However, the quality of the tires for the price gets a negative 1 star. In short, they charged me $35/tire for tires that have hardly any tread on them. I understand I'm paying for used tires, not new ones, so there won't be full tread on them. But this was pretty ridiculous. The tread was worn all the way down to the tread wear indicators! The tread wear indicators are there to show you when the tires need replacing! Just look at the pics and see for yourself. I think my old tires had more tread than the used ones they installed. Now, I take responsibility for not checking the tires before I left. I had read such good reviews about Stan's online that I figured I could trust the quality of the used tires....but that was a mistake...my mistake. Then, when I came back later I mentioned this to the customer service guy (older, skinny, short man) and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I even pointed to the tire tread wear indicator. So, either he knows nothing about tires and shouldn't be working there or he was just pretending to not know). I won't be coming back. read more

This is the only spot I'll go to for tires from now on. Was on the hunt for tires to fit my 67 VW Beetle and was having a heck of a time as they're not commonly carried these days. Called around and the guys at the shop were super helpful. Said they didn't have the exact model I needed, but could fit tires on the rim so that I could move the car (which is what I needed). Everywhere in LA takes 20 minutes (remember the movie, "Clueless"?), so, no excuses why take any vehicle here to Tires & Wheels by Stan. Today we took my wife's bad a$$ matte black 74 square body, lowered to the ground and sweet as all hell to the only place we would ever bring any one of our highly valued and highly appraised vehicles. No one else is allowed to replace tires or wheels or do anything that has anything to do with either except Stan's, whether it be our newest Porsche 911 Targa, or our 66 Ford Bronco, 69 Chevy Nova Gasser, 2016 Ferrari 458 Sp., 2018 Rolls Royce Wraith or 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet (which is like our little hermit since it is all tricked the mother freak out, and thus, rarely emerges from our garage). I mean, we are mid-30s femme lesbians, educated and successful... OBVI, we appreciate buying nice things that straight girls might not know how to use correctly (so sorry, but take at least ONE for the STD-afflicted, unexpected pregnancy... y'know- straight people problems, team). We are like totally gay- my wife is femme but has her moments of sporty-spice and can do anything a dude can do but better (except for this we go to Stan's). As such, we LOVE cars, trucks, planes, boats, PWCs and... nothing to do with it- power tools jk, but the other parts minus the power tools thing is true. POINT IS. This shop has everything, changes your tires or wheels or wheels and tires while you sit inside if you want to. They treat everyone like.... so nicely. I appreciate their PERFECT work, but I feel so good while I am there because of the people. They will never try to upsell you, in fact, quite the opposite. They are super inexpensive and not only that, they do the best job in a quarter of the time. No matter how many cars, boats, trucks, etc there are there, they will take care of you RIGHT AWAY, no wait, and they are just (I cannot stop saying this because of how much it is true and noticeably so) so genuine, helpful and kind. If you want to be so happy after the disappointment of a bad tire or maybe you ran over a nail or whatever is the case, repairs for cars can be such a killjoy to your entire day or existence for the moment you are inside the situation, but you will be so happy when you become a customer and that feeling of a job impeccably done, having wasted no time. paying so little for something so mandatory in LA- transportation of your own, it won't get more fulfilling than this shop.
