This is one of those reviews where it never occurred to me that my experience would end with a review... much less a negative one. I began my search online for a specific set of tires. Of all the providers near me, Tires Plus in Brandywine, MD had the exact tires I wanted at the best price. Great, right? Well... just keep reading. I brought the online "out-the-door" price (see attached photo) into the store to confirm everything before moving forward with the purchase. The salesperson looked up the tires, confirmed the pricing, and scheduled my appointment for two days later. He also told me the tires would arrive the very next day. On the morning of my appointment, I called the store to confirm they had been delivered. Without verifying anything whatsoever, the representative abruptly said, "Tires come in around 10 or 11 o'clock. Call back." I managed to stop him before he hung up to explain that my tires were supposed to have arrived the day before. He checked my information, acknowledged that I was correct, and then informed me that, for some reason, they never arrived. He suggested I come in after that day's shipment. I arrived that afternoon only to be told... they still hadn't arrived. The manager called his supplier and reprimanded them for the mistake. Please keep in mind that I had made special arrangements around the appointment they had scheduled. Later that day, I called again to check the status. The manager confirmed the tires had finally arrived. When I told him I'd come back to have them installed, he casually informed me, without an ounce of urgency or any apparent appreciation for the inconvenience, that they couldn't install them that day. Instead, he said he could "try" to fit me in the following evening. That was the moment I knew this review was writing itself. I returned the next day for my 3:00 p.m. appointment. My vehicle wasn't taken back until well after 4:00, and the installation wasn't completed until sometime after 5:00. Now remember that "out-the-door" price I mentioned earlier? The service advisor presented me with a bill that was nearly $200 higher. Naturally, I pointed out that their own website showed a different price. The manager walked over, visibly annoyed, and told me he would "give" me the online price, but claimed the internet pricing didn't include taxes because, according to him, the website had no way of knowing which state the purchase would occur in. Jesus Christ. Even the salesperson standing there looked like he couldn't believe what his manager had just said. I calmly explained that the customer selects the state during the online purchase process and that the Tires Plus website clearly itemizes every charge, including sales tax, in the final "out-the-door" price. Finally, I thought we had reached the end of this saga. Not quite. When I walked outside, my vehicle was sitting in a public parking space with the doors unlocked. I asked one of the employees what their protocol was for locking customers' vehicles after service. His response? "There's really no rule." So... there you have it. A fully functioning SH!% SHOW!!!!! I'm glad this is over! Not so fast. While driving home, I noticed that my digital tire reading was showing insufficient tire inflation levels. (You can't be serious!) The simplest thing that they offer as a professional tire dealer cannot be inaccurate! So, I gave it a day to recalibrate, and lo and behold... the "professional techs" missed the mark here as well. Recommendation level: Not even if Jesus Christ Himself were the manager. I chose two stars in lieu of one star because my interaction with the initial rep was solid, and the price was the best in the area. read more

I 100% am not coming back to this location I will stick to taking my car to get services at the dealership. My wheel felt a little shaky so I decided to stop by this place since I was driving pass. Front desk guy was being passive aggressive with some of his remarks. Then when I decided I didn't want to get an inspection it took another 20 mins for him to bring my truck out. I'm the only one here and can just see them causally having a conversation in the garage while the front desk guy told me to wait outside. I don't understand where the disconnect is but I will settle with driving to California Maryland to do anything with my girl next time. UPDATE: 20 mins later now I have no oil I guess that's what was going on. read more

NEGLIGENCE CONSUMER PLEASE BEWARE!!!!! Pictures don't lie. I took my car in for service on Friday November 11, 2023 and had two front tires replaced, I charged over $500 for the service. While travelling to New York on Saturday November 12, 2023, this gentleman flagged me down on the highway, I pulled over and he pointed out that the entire bed of my car was on the floor, had this man not stop me when he did, I would have crashed my car on the highway and killed both my passengers due to the negligence actions of this facility. The gentleman was heaven sent, he helped tie a shoelace around the bed of my car (pictures attached) and directed me to the nearest auto shop. I plan on exposing this shop for their negligence and for risking people's lives by not even checking their work to verify if they put in the same screws they removed from my car. I called last week (Saturday) and made an appointment with Angela for today (3/13) at 8 am. I arrive at 730 or so only to be told by a very nonchalant cashier that my appointment was for 11am and that I had made an online appointment. I know for sure that I discussed 8am with Angela over the phone as I even put it in my calendar as soon as the appointment was made. It was not an online appointment either. The guy at the counter seemed to be able to care less about my time being wasted and me getting up so early to be at this store at that time. An apology was never offered nor did Angela, who was in the store at the time come from the back to apologize or address me. When she came from the service bay and he said something to her while I was standing there, she still didn't address me and apologize for her mistake or even the confusion if that's what they felt it was. All I was offered by the guy was "I mean I can get you in but it's gonna be a minute". Nah I don't have anymore minutes for this store. The customer service is terrible and I'm gonna miss the Fort Washington location It's ok though. I called Waldorf and was told that they could have me in by 830. I'm here now and my car was in by 820. I definitely won't be returning to the Brandywine location. read more

I want to recognize the tires plus in Brandywine Maryland. They have been understaffed but the tech Kevin Boykin has been handling the load pretty well. Kevin is the only tech at least on the days that I have gone there. Zobia shines as the store representative sets up the order of the cars to be worked on. Tariq comes from behind the counter, rolls up his sleeves and helps out in the back with the cars. read more

My husband brought his truck in for tire service on the 6.29.20. He was told by an employee that the tire which had a slow leak, could not be fix and that he would need to purchase a new one. They were supposed to call him back within a day or two because they had to order the replacement. And that they would call to give him a time to have the new tire installed. He never got that call. He went to the Tires Plus in person today, 7.7.20, to inquired about the tire and was informed that his tire and rim had been installed on another persons truck. REALLY!!!! They never bothered to contact him about the situation. They claim they will take care of the problem and replace both the tire and rim. We shall see. He's decided not to do any more business with them once this issue is resolved. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!...made an appointment on line to have 2 tires replaced. Called this morning to confirm everything was fine. Let the guy on the phone know that the appt. was for 12 they HAD to be done by and was assuree all was ok. My wife went there before her physical therapy appt and even arrived early. Was told they were going to try to get her in early....all great right?....flash forward an hour of waiting, cancelled PT appointment and was told that the tires were not there. truck showed up still no tires....now I am stuck paying for a cancelled PT appointment and do not have tires still....Never again will they see a dollar from this house my families or my friends read more

I went in there this evening two have two new tires mounted. I arrived a little BEFORE 7PM. After I explained what services I wanted the guy behind the counter gave me a price which I approved and then he proceeded to write up the service ticket. So when I describe where to put the new tires etc. and he completes the service ticket he then asks me "if I will be leaving the car???." I said "how long will it take" and he says " We won"t be able to do it tonight because we dont take work after 7PM. It is now 7:05 PM wihch I point out to the guy and he says " Sorry, the installer has kids and has to go home! WTF! I told him I dont live close by and drove 45 Min. away and drove 45 min. to get here he says again " Sorry,he has kids" !!! Wow. Terrible customer service. Dropped my van off for an alignment and tire rotation, I know somethings wrong with the front end, causing the tire to wear in the inside, fine rotate to the back, let me know what's wrong with the front end. Next day Dave calls with $2300 of recommended repairs, new front brakes and rotors, "clean up" the rear brakes, coolant flush, "fuel system" flush, alternator belt and tensioner, and oh yeah alignment and rotate, and oh yeah you need four new tires. So, ok maybe new tires on the front, but the backs have less than 20k miles on them and are fine, new brakes and rotors done last year, and all the other stuff? Never asked them to look at any of it. I would have taken it to my regular mechanic, who is very honest and busy, get it honesty=busy? Tires Plus, 12 bays and maybe only 2 or 3 being used, go figure. read more

I went into tired plus in Brandywine Maryland on Thursday and order two tires paid for them, the manager Dave called me Friday am and stated the tires were in, I told him great thanks he ask if I could drop my vehicle off I told him no I live 40 minutes away, I would have to wait while the tires were being installed, he said fine there was a could people ahead of me, never in my wildest dream when I arrived at 10:50am, I would be walking out 4 hours later for just two tires to be installed, after the tech pull my vehicle out the and place my keys at the window, the manager was still seating talk to another young lady about nothing verse getting my keys to me quickly and letting me go, I had to walk back there and ask for my keys so I could go, two other guys waiting in the lobby were also pissed, there was no sense of urgency, I was really blow away .... about the poor service I received, People have understand great customer goes a long ways, not only does it help your business it allows you to keep a job and feel blessed to have one this day and time, if customer service is not your thing get out of it ! You might wanna think twice about going here especially if you don't have all day to spend getting two tires put on ! This place has got to do better by its customers! read more

Called last week and was told they would have the tires I needed for my truck in by July 31. Made an online appointment for August 2, and received confirmation 24 hours later that the tires were in stock and the appointment was confirmed. Showed up this morning and was told they did not have the tires, and supposedly, they are not given the information on what kind of tires I specified in my reservation online. I'm not sure if they are liars or if nobody keeps track of inventory and the central distribution thought they had them in stock because they can't be bothered to keep their inventory up to date. On multiple occasion when the staff at tire plus Brandywine messes up. And you ask to escalate. They often don't want management to know of this and they wil bold face tell you there is no manager or i don't have the managers information!! Ironically this is the culture it has happened many times with different people. Tire plus encourages this. read more

Went three times to get an alignment and had a horrible experience. The first time I made the appointment in the afternoon and when I showed up they were unaware of that appointment. They told me they could fit me in though and it wouldn't be a problem. 2 hours later they finished my car and when I got in to drive home my steering wheel was waaay of center so I immediately called ant the told me they could reschedule for later in the week. I had noticed some major issues turning my wheel that week and paid extra to have them check it out while they did my alignment. They redid the alignment and said there was nothing wrong with my steering. The following week the steering was so bad in my truck I almost wrecked twice. I then took my truck into a REAL shop and had my rack and pin changed and it runs great. read more

Whew Chile!!! This place is not the answer for anyone looking for an quick and efficient tire repair. Made a 2:30 appt for a tire repair to remove a nail in the tread of a tire purchased (brand new with warranty) last summer. Because this place is closer than the business the tires were purchased from I figured they should be able to patch it in no time. Not exactly. Since I didn't feel up to waiting, we ended up dropping the car off around 11:30am that morning. I figured I would run some errands and come back and get the car shortly after the appt window passed. Fast forward to 4:30....then 5:00....still there has been no contact made by the business. So when we call, they say they haven't gotten to it yet. Huh?? You close at 6, there was an appt, and it was dropped off early. So now there really is little expectation left, but we try to be hopeful nonetheless. Well, that was quickly diminished when they finally call at 5:30 and say they can't repair the tire, because all of my tires are "bad", but I'm in luck because they have two in stock. Well yippee!!!! I just about wet my pants with excitement....NOT!!! I can't explain the level of irritation and disgust I felt at this point. So you held the car for 6 hours with only 30 mins to spare to tell me that??!!! Let me come get my ish. Don't come here. If you do after you just read this, I'm gonna say you deserve whatever service they feel like giving you. read more

Horrible service. Manager Angela was absolutely no help at all and just kept coming up with different excuses as to why the car will not be done. Dropped off the vehicle Thursday and was told it would be done by Saturday at the absolute latest. Monday morning I called to get an update, was told it was the only vehicle in the shop, and will be done by today. Monday night, I had to call again, mind you they still have not had the decency to update me if there were issues with having it done by the timeline they gave me. I've taken my vehicle here on multiple occasions because the location is ideal, there is always some sort of issue, which I have always excused because it happens; once is an exception, multiple times is a pattern. But this time, the way the manager handled the situation was very unprofessional and could not tell me when the car would be done. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. read more

I went in for a simple tire balance at the Brandywine, Md location. Not only did my car vibrate after the service, but the young technician put the wrong wheel weights on(used stick on weight). I took the car back 2 days later for the correction and rebalance, and another young technician tried to mask the problem, and add the clip on weights with the stick on weights still on, all while playing on his phone and listening to music. Took it to a trusted mechanic at the dealer.... car is vibration free after balancing correctly. Also noteworthy to mention, the two guys never road tested the car to confirm repair or problem. Went in for diagnostic test...they pulled my car a part drained my coolant seized up my starter took 4 hours to do this removed my battery and tried to tell me that's why my car didn't start but my battery was fine....the oil pan they drained my truck into had bolts and screws which I later found out went to my radiator that wasn't screwed back on tight...when I pulled up after waiting 4 hours they were chilling in the garage doing nothinh.....I now have to come back to get my truck fixed from things they broke I wish I could give no stars read more

I wish we could give them zero stars. Took truck for a new exhaust they proceeded to charge and do a complete inspection which was not required. Charged us for it then charged an outrageous amount for the exhaust system meanwhile while doing the inspection apparently check the coolant and didn't put the cap back on the radiator properly. The cap discharged the fluid all over the engine and resulting in a short in the ignition system which is going to cost us an exorbitant amount of money to repair. would not recommend this place for anything. I feel they took advantage of us simply because we had out of state plates and through their carelessness has created us many additional problems. By the way since we will be in the area for many months you have lost a customer and will tell others about our experience. read more

Had paid $186.00 for one tire servuce only to find that they left 2 wheel lug nuts completely loose and a stud in my wheel damaged. Upon returning to the store for fixing I received a noncaring annoyed service manager which instead of an apology was dismissive and aattempted to semd me to another store. I'm a bit disappointed with Tires Plus. Made an 8am appt. for brake pads and was there for 4 hours. Toke 1 hour just to evaluate my brakes and 3 hours to get the job done. Making an appt. is no different than a walk in. It would be more honest if the shop lets you know they are really first come first serve and no appt. is necessary. I really don't like a business that doesn't value your time. Unless you can drop your car off and be called when its ready, I wouldn't recommend this shop. read more

They did OK. I needed my tires rotated and it took them 2 hours to do it. Though to be fair, it was a Sunday and they reported the only had one tech on hand. One other person had been waiting 3 hours for work to be done. They noticed some minor issues i expected they might have reported and fixed, for example a small nail in one tire, but they reported it wasn't leaking, so no problem, we're not fixing it unless you ask us to fix it, next please. Technicians lie. I brought my car in for 2 tires and an alignment. So here's the story: I purchased 4 tires from this place for the same car and had no issues. I asked about an alignment and was told the ball joints needed to be replaced and they could not do the alignment. And of course it was nearly $1000 for them to do it. Yeah..um...no thanks. I can do that myself. So I brought the car home and parked it, ordered all the parts for the front end, I mean EVERYTHING, ball joints: upper and lower, tie rods: inner and outer, leading links left and right side, control arms and bushings..you see my point. I paid just under $250 for the parts, and installed everything, personally. I got the front end as close to specs as I could without an alignment rack. I took the car to Sears for an alignment, but after about 2000 miles, the tires were wearing incorrectly. Leads me to believe Sears did not do such a great job. So back to buying two tires and an alignment. TiresPlus was more than happy to sell me new front tires, I asked about an alignment. I again was told that the ball joints need to be replaced before they could align the front end. My response was "Are you effing kidding me?" I went to Firestone, got the front end aligned and asked the tech about the condition of the ball joints and tie rods. He said they "looked like they were brand new, tight and greased" So there you have. Never will TP be graced by my presence or my money again. So if you go there and are told "You need blah blah part" Get a second opinion. read more

Instead of a star they deserve a poop emoji. I took my car in to the Brandywine Location. I was concerned that something was wrong as I had just blown a tire and I had been feeling pulling to the one side of the car earlier in the week. I suspected it was the alignment but being as I had the donut on they told me they couldn't check the alignment. ( fair enough) They said they would check over the car and let me know if there were any other issues. I got a call later in the day saying I had a stuck caliper and a bad wheel bearing and that the total cost to fix my car would be just shy of 1200$. I LAUGHED at the woman on the phone and told them to put my car back together as I was planning on picking it up. I paid the 21.99 for having them diagnose the issues and left. Two days later I took my car to another mechanic and he did a thorough inspection. ( I originally didn't go to him because he didn't have availability to see me the same day I got the flat) After his inspection he told me the wheel bearing was fine and the caliper was not seized as I would feel vibration and smell a burning scent. Long story short, these people at tires plus are CROOKS. The kick in the tail is that the manager is a woman. I almost expect to be lied to by a male mechanic but its a whole new low when a woman attempts to take advantage of another woman. After seeing my mechanic he also informed me that my tires were dry rotted. I thought how can this be as my tires weren't even 22 months old and have been regularly rotated. I bought my tires new from Tires Plus in Brandywine 22 months ago. ( think they were new? may have never been used but they definitely weren't new) I am totally disgusted by this place and my only recommendation to anyone considering this place is to avoid them at all costs. P.S I saw four little old ladies sitting in the waiting room and I can only imagine what this company was charging them for more than likely stuff they don't need. Don't let your mom, sister, grandmother, aunt be scammed by this place. read more
