This is our experience with this business. Schedule apt. For 11/29/23 to replace the front tires. My wife takes the car to be serviced. She tells the front desk replace the front tires only.After a while the front deck called and tell her that they did courtesy inspection and suggest additional repairs of 1,005.82 on top of the tires. We felt so violated that someone was doing whatever they wanted with our property without our consent. They gave me a generous Labor Day discount and didn't have all these additional extra fees thrown in there like other places. I had a good experience here today when picking up and mounting new tires (Firestone AS) for my VW. I was able to pay over the phone after applying for 0% financing, so that I could submit for the rebate before deadline. They did the entire job in just over an hour. They also honored a 5% discount promo that the original guy did not offer over the phone. Minus one star for cleanliness/interior area. While I do not have high expectations, it would have been great to have coffee, the TV turned on, and/or the WIFI working. The merchandising & signage didn't seem to be updated since 1999. read more

My first visit on 10/8/23 was great. Edwin gave me a good deal on my oil change and presented me with a free oil change if I applied for the store credit card, which I did and was approved. I returned to this location a few months later to redeem my free oil change, which I had in writing and was denied service. The reason: new management; Edwin no longer works here. There was no offer for a discounted oil change or any other gesture for the lost time and gas. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location. read more

I went in yesterday after I noticed a screw in my tire. The individual who helped me (I wish I caught his name) immediately checked my tire, and did not try to swindle me (my biggest pet peeve when getting car work done.) they were super quick and did the job right. Also, I a woman came in who had a flat and needed to get to Baltimore within the hour. He was so kind in helping her it made my day to watch. Shift Manager George was excellent with his service. Before coming to the shop, I spent 30 minutes on the phone with George. It was a satisfying call as he was patient and answered all my questions. I came in needing a new tire due to a bolt being near the edge and being unrepairable. He used there tire depth gauge and it read I had more tread life than the cheap gauge I had bought. As such, I thought my tires where wearing faster but they are wearing normal and only bought one tire even though I had planned to suck it up and buy all 4. We even measured the depth of the exact new tire they had in stock to use as a reference. I saved a ton of money and I'm sure there bottom line took a hit. However, his honesty is what truly makes a mechanic shop worthy of praise. Excellent service read more

I have come here multiple times now for various oil changes, brakes, coolant and maintenance requests due to proximity to Mosaic District. I am always able to book an appointment online a day or two before I would like the service. They completed a complimentary maintenance check including brakes, tires, coolant, etc. and gave me the printed results. They called asking if I would like to complete any of the requested services and did not push at all. This was strictly informative; I appreciated that! I typically, drop-off the vehicle in the morning and it's complete by 10 AM. I think the prices are very fair as well from previous experiences. They honor the coupons and discounts on the website. would not go anywhere else for maintenance or oil changes/inspections! read more

I took care of the errand, asked Siri to find a tire store near the route back, pulled into this store's lot, and asked whether they could check the pressures. Was in the market for new set of tires, after negative experience at Bj's I went to Tires Plus because they had tires I wanted at a reasonable price. I did not have an appointment; but they were still able to accommodate me and get me in and out in a reasonable amount of time, by the time I got back from lunch my car was ready. The reasons I am not giving Tires Plus a positive rating is I received a hard sell for both tire warranty and alignment after telling them I was not interested. My car is all wheel drive and I prefer to have my tires match exactly when it comes to tread depth, so if one tire is damaged, I am prepared to replace all 4. I just had a four wheel alignment done on a Hunter Road Force alignment machine and knew I did not need another one. The other problem could potentially be a safety issue and would definitely affect tire longevity. The tires were seriously overinflated, I could tell from the ride quality of the car, yes I have a sensitive butt with regards to ride of my car and the handling was not what it should have been, harsh and overly bouncy for lack of a better description. I parked my car at home, got up at 5:00 am the next morning after the tires had cooled overnight and checked the tire pressure. I was correct, the correct cold inflation should have been 32 psi, three tires were better that 34.5 psi and one was 35.7 psi, I have a very accurate tire gauge. I also own a tire compressor and was able to decrease the pressure in the tires and inflate to them to the correct psi. The last issue was the tire pressure monitoring system was not recalibrated. My advice is if you do purchase tires from Tires Plus, before you leave verify the tires psi and ensure the tire pressure monitoring system has been recalibrated. read more

I visited here to get one of my tires replaced due to have a nail rip right through it. Sadly they did not have the brand that I wanted for the tire in which I had to order somewhere else by myself. However, they did install it for my at a decent price which was great! One thing I did not appreciate though was that whoever had driven the car to the parking space for me to pick up left the drivers window all the way down! Good thing nothing happened to it and the weather didn't decide to rain or else I would be 10x more upset. I am the Manager at the NTA of Gallows Exxon. I brought a car here on Feb. 15 to get an alignment done. Given an estimate of $97.62, I left the car there and returned to work. When I returned to pick up the car, I was told that everything was good when both of the front cambers were unaligned. I pointed this out to the Salesperson and Technician, but they were unaware of the function of a camber and insisted that they had done what was recommended from the dealer. Having been a Technician myself, I knew I was being lied to and that the employees were not qualified to do this job. Disappointed and frustrated, I left the shop with my car in a worst state than I had brought it in. The next weekend, my son took the car to the dealer to fix the issue, and the dealer correctly completed the alignment, thus proving that I was deceived by this Tires Plus location. I used to be a regular customer here and wanted to open a business account, but I will certainly not be returning and would not recommend this location to anyone else after this experience. read more

Bought full set of tires here one month ago at a very decent price and service then was very good. But today, I curbed a tire and blew that tire. Drove to the Tires Plus with the wheel and rim in my truck right at 5pm. Wanted to buy the same tire to match what previously purchased. Counter guy says they can't get to it until the next morning. They are open until 7pm and even with one guy working, they can't change a tire out? I at least get him to walk out and check the tire to make sure it is beyond repair. He finds the tear. I ask again if they can somehow manage to get it done. Again, nope, will have to leave it and return in the AM. He runs back into store and is gone. So I google nearest Tire Plus store and find one 20 minutes away (Annandale)and open until 7pm and call them. They have tire and can make the fix. One last shot, I walk in and ask the clerk one more time if at all possible to make the tire change happen. He says no way. I give up and head out and get in truck driving out of lot to the next store only to have the clerk come running out and flagging me down, now he says he can do it......I tell him to forget it and drive out of the way to the Tires Plus twenty minutes away in bad traffic. But, it was worth it, 15 minutes in and out of the store with new tire at the Annandale store. Tire Plus Fairfax definitely a fail in customer service and they lost a customer tonight in what should have been an easy fix. read more

Complete waste of my time. I called needing a new tire. The guy says they have it. Ok great. I show up at 8:45am. He puts me in for the new tire. He says his mechanic is running late. Mechanic shoes up at 9:40. Total crap. Head front desk guy comes to me at 10:15 and says they can't find the tire. Total waste of my time. The name of your business is tires plus and you can't find the tire and your mechanic can't show up to work on time. Never again will I come here. Pay attention to the reviews. I'm done with this place. Only reason I brought my cars here was to enjoy the Mosaic Shopping complex while I wait, and wait, and wait. If they say an hour it means three. Hate when mechanics blow sunshine. Replaced 4 tires and a new valve sensor. Replacement Sensor was bad but they didn't want to believe me. Begs the question 'why didn't they check the sensor once in place?' The tire inflation light was still on. I was told it would go off in a little while on it's own. 'Yea, right.' Also told me I needed new struts. So I took my car to my long time mechanic and he says the new valve sensor is defective and oh by the way I don't need new struts. Tires Plus says "Bring your car back in the morning and you will be first in the bay to replace the bad valve. It will take you 20 minutes. Here now and it's been 45 minutes and my car hasn't moved. Now an hour and twenty minutes in and I have just been told that the replacement valve stem needs to be ordered (not in stock) and "would it be ok to leave my car?" Arrrg. They knew about the valve stem yesterday. You think they might have checked their stock and planned ahead. If you do decide to come here, go on line and make a tire reservation/estimate, print it out and bring it. Chances are good their estimate will be higher and/or they won't have your item in stock and you will have the paperwork to prove them otherwise. I don't care for misleading business practices or sales people, or mechanics for that matter, who talk down to you, like you don't know what you are talking about, and who give you a timeframe they have little intention of meeting. I had to get my two front tires changed quick and i only had today off to do it and it was getting late so i called a few different tire stores and the prices were ridiculous for one tire or just the labor so i didn't even get to asking about what i really needed. Luckily my girlfriend and i were lucky enough to stumble onto Tires plus located at 8217 Lee Hwy Fairfax, VA 22031 United States We called ahead and the phone was answered by George Schultz. He was very helpful and went out of his way to check if the cheaper tires were in stock even tho the computer said they weren't. He came back to the phone with the good news and we informed him that we would like to go forward with the service. We showed up about an hour later and was immediately greeted by George and he already knew what we needed so it went by fast. I asked him a few unrelated questions about my car because I'm new to the car world and don't know much and he was kind enough to share a few tips and give me some pointers while he did the paperwork. The service took about 50 minutes which lined up with his estimation. Before i paid he informed me about the card i can apply for that would get me 5% off my transaction even if I'm not approved. I usually have very bad experiences when it comes to getting my car fixed or looked at but this was the opposite of that and i left with a smile knowing my car was properly taken care of. 10/10 would recommend read more

bought 4 new Bridgestone tires here, less than 1 yr of driving with the new tires one of them blew out on the highway 60+ mph, tire pressure was checked prior to getting on the highway that day, called bridgestone for warranty, was told to goto the store it was purchased from, brought the actual blew out tire, and spoke to the manager at this store, he insisted that I was driving with a low inflated tire and that's what cause the blow out, refused to honor warranty, googling defective tires online show pics of exactly tires like mine, went back to Bridgestone corporate and was told warranty is completely dependent upon this store manager opinion, further digging found that Bridgestone bought all the Tires plus stores. only way to pursue is court. we used to buy tires here for years, after all the trauma and upset this company has caused, will never buy tires from this chain ever again. DISHONEST SCAMMERS - DO NOT COME HERE. I had a tire that needed a simple patch so I brought my car here. After waiting more than an hour they try to tell me that the damage was in a place that they can't repair. The guy at the front desk immediately pulls up options to purchase new tires. Thinking that something wasn't right, I told them to put the tires back on my car and that I'll hold off on replacements. I took my car to another place, and they had absolutely no problem repairing the tires and they couldn't understand why this place couldn't repair them. No one should come to this kind of place if they're going to use dishonest practices and straight up lie to your face just to get a few extra bucks. Seems like I'm not the only one who's fallen victim to this so they need to stop taking advantage of people before doing business in any sort. read more

I've been to this location before for tires and all was well. However today I went in to get my brakes checked as my car wheel shakes when braking. I was given list of recommendations one of which I was told was going to fix my problem. I went ahead with what I was told would fix the problem but instantly after driving it I felt as though nothing had been done to my vehicle and the issue still existed. I was then told that it was my fault because I didn't complete all the recommended repairs. This location needs to be transparent and focus on fixing the reported problem instead of bombarding their customers with unnecessary repairs (recommendations). I went down the road to Mr. Tire who was instantly able to tell me what was causing the shaking without a doubt, the brakes!!! I will never return to this location. I ended up spending double money for repairs one of which was not needed. You may be fine getting tires from here but anything else, don't waste your time. read more

I had originally visited this Tires Plus because I ran over a nail and had a flat tire. Tommy was very informative and straight forward in explaining to me why I needed to replace all tired as opposed to patching up the hole. He was also very helpful in showing me available options for tires. I appreciated that he did not pressure or rush me to make a decision. When I came home and did some research online, I learned that Tommy's quote was more than fair. So I made an appointment and Chris and Adam were very courteous and took a good care of my car. They even informed me about free rotations every 5,000 miles. Thank you! I took one star off because I found out afterwards that Tires Plus has a 59 minute guarantee (m.tiresplus.com/59-59) but I had to wait more than 2 hours for tire replacement (as stated on the invoice) even though I had an appointment. I understand that things can run a little behind, however, if a business has a corporate guarantee, I expect the business to honor it at all times without a customer having to assert it by demanding a $59 discount at the checkout. read more

I had quite a pleasant visit to tires plus. Strange, because I hate car repairs, car maintenance, car wash, evening to pump gas. I've already been here twice and each time was greeted politely and professionally. You can tell these guys enjoy their work and are willing to help, rather than to rip you off. So far, I've come to get a synthetic oil change for $60 (ask them for a coupon, it's about $50 plus tax and shop fees), tire replacement, and alighment. All have met my expectations. Despite the bash session I have had multiple problems with my Toyota Camry and taken it to the dealer most of the first 2 years I owned it. I found a synthetic blend coupon online and gave these guys a shot. The front counter guys were very helpful. Knowledgeable about the cars they worked on and very kind to me. Chris and Tommy helped me with my service and during their free check with the oil change they found a few things I needed to have done. I wasn't prepared then but they showed me the problems and even prioritized them for me. I have been back 3 more times and gotten their help and the previous suggestions done. They are fair honest and the warranties and prices are very good. I like this location very much and am very glad a good shop still exists where i can trust the staff to not lie to me or mess up my car. My car is always returned clean and with a smile. Trust the 1 star reviews and steer clear. Went in for a free lifetime warranty alignment (appointment) and they said I needed new shocks/struts and all new tires and couldn't do the alignment. Got a second opinion saying the tires were fine. Replaced the shocks/struts ourselves for less than half their quoted price. Took it back for an alignment (appointment) and they said they couldn't do it because the CAM bolts were stuck in the bushing on one tire and didn't offer a recommendation or indicate that they could fix this another day with a new part. It is a waste of life to come here. Perhaps if you pay for a service they'll actually do some work, but the lifetime warranty is a joke. Also, they do a lot of mansplaining. read more
