They provided a detailed, easy-to-understand report showing what needed immediate attention and what items may need to be addressed down the road. What really stood out was their honesty. They never tried to upsell me or pressure me into repairs that weren't necessary. Instead, they took the time to explain everything, prioritize the repairs, and let me make an informed decision. It's refreshing to find a shop that's focused on helping customers rather than selling unnecessary work. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and professional mechanic, I highly recommend The Car Doctor for all your vehicle needs. I'll definitely be bringing my other vehicles here for future maintenance and repairs!

The pricing is worth the level of assurance I received, especially with the warranty and follow-up. I needed my vehicle turned around quickly, and they accommodated my timeline without cutting corners. What stood out most was that I never felt pressured at any point. Instead, they went out of their way in a respectful and professional manner to earn my business. As someone who usually wants a second opinion, I appreciated how they clearly explained what needed to be done, why, and showed proof of the work. They delivered exactly what I needed and got my vehicle back to me on time. I'll gladly continue to bring my business here moving forward.

My Audi Q7 broke down last week and was inoperable for six days. Ben took my call and kept me calm and focused while we tried to figure out what exactly was going on with my suv. After a few minutes on the phone we thought it was best to have it towed to the nearest shop a few miles away (by the way, this was an evening/after hours call). Ben helped get me a tow and offered to send me a car to be driven home. I opted to walk down the street to a local restaurant to take advantage of my stranded situation (that's an entirely different story). Back to my review. The next morning the Nielsen team helped me understand what was going on with my suv, the options available to me, and provided a detailed break down of the costs associated with the five years of neglect and work needed to be sone to my suv. The number was a big number but there is a cost associated with having skilled technicians on staff to do the work and do it right. I was ok with this and they were kind enough to work with me on the price. Through the entire process, Ben and his team kept me in the loop at all stages of the service, until my car suv was ready for pick up. I recommend anyone looking for a hard-working, honest team to service your car or SUV to look no further than Ben Nielsen at any of his locations. My wife and I often use one of their locations in Alexandria on Colvin street because it's closer to home, but when my Audi broke down, skyline became the best option. There's no financial incentive for me to give this review only the gratitude, gratefulness, and my overall desire to thank the team for what they did. Thank you Ben and the Skyline team!

Sometimes the work is fine and sometimes its not. Too often I drive out with a new problem that I did not have before. A year ago this happened with the Steering Gear Box, which started making a grinding noise as soon as I left the lot. I had to bring it back and pay for a new one. Today, I brought it in for a few minor issues and an inspection and oil change. I also asked them to look at the rear end because I was sometimes experiencing a light "clunk" when I would drive over bumps. They told me the rear differential was making that noise. It seemed odd to me that the rear differential would be the cause. So I told them it was not a big enough issue at the moment to justify $3,000 for a new rear differential. I drove it home and - voila - the rear differential is now making a grinding noise (it was not before). The clunk is still there, but that is not on them. I am not going back because I never know if I am going to drive out with more problems than I came in with.

Also, the whole reason I had to make this appointment was they supposedly put new brakes and rotors on my jeep in late July. I've had problems with the braking system ever since. I came here after driving less than 2,000 miles just taking maybe it needing some driving in time. They are telling me somehow it is now my suspension?!? Like how is my suspension the problem with my jeep when there was nothing wrong with it when I brought it into you in for brakes and rotors?!? I would give this place a -10 if I could. It's an absolute joke. And the service team had the attitude like they just don't give a crap about you or anything else.

I got my car in January and remembered that the warranty might cover it, so I asked the guy to file a claim. He said he'd have to do it the following Tuesday because the warranty company is closed on weekends, and he only works Tues-Sat. I took it back on Tuesday and he said he'd get back to me that same day. I didn't hear from him. I called back on Wednesday, and I was told that the diagnostic guy wasn't in. Again, he's the only one who works on Jeeps, so nobody else could do it if they wanted to. Thursday came and I was over it. Nobody was getting back to me and when I called in to inquire about my car my questions weren't being answered. I ubered there to get my car and take it back to the dealership, and they told me they LOST MY KEYS. They ended up finding them filed under a completely different Jeep with a completely different issue/status, so I took my car back to the dealership. Now, here's the kicker. Back in March I took my car to this same establishment for a coolant evaluation. Fast forward to May, the dealership is making progress with the claim to the warranty company, and turns out they already received a claim from Pep Boys on May 2nd. The morons at Pep Boys put the mileage from my March visit on the May 2nd claim. So now the warranty adjuster who came to inspect my car at the dealership is denying the claim, because it looks like I drove 1800 miles between May 2nd-May 20th, when in reality that's my mileage from March-May. So here I am 3 weeks later with no car, an angry girlfriend who hates taking the train, and genuine confusion on how this location's employees made it this far in life. Save your time, money, and sanity and go somewhere else PLEASE.

I came in with 3 locks on my tires I needed removed because I had recently lost my key. They removed all three but damaged the bolt in the picture. After buying a new set of locks and trying to tighten it on, they accused me of being the one that did the damage -_- AS IF. I never thought I'd need the police present for ANYTHING in my life. After seeing the damage, the manager, grabs her mechanic and asks him to check. They grab my BRAND NEW LOCK and try to tighten it on with their HANDS BRO I can't make this up. And then they tell me, "look! It works you're wrong." Right before telling me the brand new lock is what is damaged. They communicated in SPANISH, WHICH I SPEAK, but I guess she forgot so, and said to each other, "esta sobado" meaning the bolt is damaged. If you zoom in on the pictures you can see the difference between the 3 old ones and the 1 new lug nut. The 3 old ones have SEVERE signs of struggle which they did struggle to remove them because they didn't have the proper key so they had to use their own. And the brand new lock is where the problem lies......... YEAH RIGHT I highly recommend people stay away from here, these people are unprofessional as hell. I ultimately ended up getting a refund of $75 AFTER she tried to charge me $110 to fix the bolt they ruined. All this trouble for a $35 difference that could've been avoided if she had just agreed to fix what they had ruined. ZERO integrity ZERO character.

Before leaving my vehicle, I was looking for my glasses in the center armrest compartment. When I found my glasses, I noticed there was a $20 bill and a $10 bill inside the compartment. I went into the store, paid for the tire, and handed my key to the cashier, who gave it to an employee to drive my car into the service area. About 30 minutes later, I returned and found my car parked in front of the store. After getting my key back, I got into my car and immediately noticed that the center armrest compartment had been left open. I checked the compartment right away, and the $30 that had been there before was gone. I spoke with the employees, but they both insisted that no one had taken the money. While I cannot say exactly what happened, the money disappeared while my car was in their possession, which is extremely concerning. This experience has caused me to lose trust in this business. When you leave your car for service, you expect your belongings to be respected and your vehicle to be secure. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I want to warn others to remove any valuables from their vehicles before leaving them here.
