Octane was recommended by a trusted family member over a year ago, and they've been consistently reliable in repairing my old Hyundai Santa Fe ever since. Replaced the starter in a day and charged much less than general online estimates quoted for that make and model. Installed a replacement interior door handle and let me buy the part to save $$. It wasn't quite right, and they reinstalled it, after a long delay due to personal health issues, and didn't bill me again even though some time had gone by. It works like a charm. Don't be put off by the crowded parking lot and general appearance of the shop. They're crowded because people know they're the best! They forgot to put my tire back on after a rotation, and the manager was absolute terrible to deal with. Do not go here under any circumstances. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, thinking I would support a local shop in the area. The mechanic forgot to screw in the nuts on my front left tire and as soon as I drove off the car started shaking. I pulled into the gas station next door and the tire came off completely, and my car fell onto the tired denting the front left fender. I walked back, told them what happened, they came and put the tire back on. And that was it. My car was damaged from their negligence and the manager/owner (Vince I believe his named was) seemed ready to let me walk away. I asked him what we were going to do about the damage, and even offered him the choice of paying for the repairs or repairing it himself, not involving insurance. He said he would repair it himself, but was absolutely awful to deal with the entire time, treated my girlfriend rudely when she asked for a receipt of the work, and didn't even apologize or seem remotely sorry for the ordeal I had to go through when all I needed was a routine oil change and tire rotation. The other staff in the office who helped me were great, but because of Vince's poor management I'm never going here again, and highly recommend everyone else to avoid this place. read more

I decided to buy four new tires for my car ... one was flat, and there was too much junk in my trunk to get to my spare tire and jack, so I had the car towed in. The other tires were showing dry rot, so definitely time for new tires. Because of the tow, I couldn't give the shop a precise arrival time, but they IMMEDIATELY hopped to work on my car, practically the instant that I walked in the door. They had given me a quote for the four tires, installed and balanced, etc., which I thought was very reasonable. When they were done, their final bill was almost 1% LESS than their estimate! So, now I no longer have to add air about once a month to that one tire that ultimately went flat, nor worry about the other tires on my car. But I still do check them before leaving my driveway, out of habit! This, by the way, was my first visit ever to Octane, but I think that they will become my goto place for car care. read more

I recently brought my vehicle in for a coolant check and to address an issue with the engine's starting sound. I contacted the service center an hour later to inquire about the status of my car, only to discover that they had proceeded with repairs without prior notification or approval. Despite requesting only a diagnostic check, the issue was addressed without informing me of the specific problem beforehand. After settling the bill, I drove the car, only to find that the battery light illuminated, and upon returning the next morning, I encountered the same leak, along with additional issues related to the battery, noise and overheating. *New Management read more

I love Octane Auto Care! I've only come for standard oil changes and tire rotations, but I still have no complaints about this place. From the start, It can be a little bit off-putting when you first walk in and you see a bunch of keys and paperwork on the counter. It looks disorganized, but somehow they make it work. I don't question their methods, given that I've never seen them screw up, so don't worry about the initial appearance. They do super high quality work here, and they do it pretty quickly! The biggest plus about this location is their prices, which are absolutely the best I've found so far in the area. I drive a Mazda CX-5, which uses synthetic oil, and the prices for the synthetic oil change are much cheaper than other prices in the area. I was able to get a synthetic oil change with a tire rotation under $65, AND they removed a nail in my tire that I didn't even know was there for free. They also checked my car the last time I was there and found an issue behind my tire (I can't remember what it was, but it was affecting my brakes), and they fixed it for a pretty low price. Inho and his father who run the shop are extremely friendly and provide great customer service. Overall, I would highly recommend Octane Auto Care for all of my car service repair needs. read more

My blower motor (what gets the AC and heat going) had gone out. I'd heard quotes anywhere from $150 to $400 even though I had already bought the replacement motor myself. Called Octane and they said they would install it for $65! Dropped my car off early on a Wednesday and they had it back to me by Thursday afternoon. Because of the affordability and convenience they do get pretty crowded so I suggest coming in as early as possible. Good, honest work! read more

Providing another update, because Octane really does go above and beyond as well as providing real integrity for their business, something that I feel is rare these days. I've been taking my car to Octane for everything now, because when you really do trust a business, you don't let that go, and I really trust Octane. They don't have a dedicated person answering the calls so they are hard to get a hold of, but that's what they do to keep prices low. When I've taken my car for other state inspections and told me I may need repairs, Octane will let me know if any of them are really needed or not. When I have had a repair with a faulty part, Octane has owned up to it and replaced it at no cost, whereas I feel other mechanics would still charge you for the labor. It's rare to find a business with as much integrity as Octane Auto Care has, and I'm glad I have a mechanic/shop to go to that I really do trust because that is so rare. read more

I don't post many reviews but I have never been to a more professional, honest, and competent auto repair place. This is a long review, but I will up front say that I will never take my car anywhere else. The most important characteristic of a mechanic is honesty. My engine would not turn over even though the battery was fine and I had just recently had the starter replaced. I was afraid that I had a faulty starter installed. Some auto shops would give you the run around or just install a new starter without trouble shooting and have you pay a heavy labor fee. At Octane they found the problem - a loose wire going to the starter - and fixed it within an hour. Because it was a small fix, they didn't charge me anything. I have never received such excellent service anywhere. I will never take my car anywhere else. read more

They sent a person out to my house to get a lug nut off one of my tires that was stripped to save me from having to pay for a tow truck. Granted I live kind of close to one of the employees. I moved from nj where labor is low price or can be done by causal people in the streets who know what to do. I was concerned about fixing a leakage in my power steering system. One guy gave me a ridiculous estimate of at least $250, but when I came here it was same day service (I came at 8) for $108.25 including labor, parts and taxes. I thought those 5stars rating a scam but when I came here oh boy, Inho and his workers are the best. They work $75/hr. read more

Can I give Octane 10 stars? Again, I was having trouble with my car. I gave them a call, and Inho's father answered. He told me to come in and his son would take a look. He did, flicked a few switches and said I needed to change my oil in 1000 miles. No charge. Not only is Octane open on Sundays, and packed, but they make time for their customers to put them at ease. Many car repair shops would do well to model their way of doing business (I.E. customer service and expertise) after Octane. This place has my business for life. This is about the customer service desk. I had no service done....I went in to ask for an oil change on my 2014 SUV. The lady at the front desk said it would be about $77 but she wasn't sure because she didn't know how many quarts it would take. I asked her if she could look it up on the computer and she said no. I've never paid more than $40 for an oil change this is strange that they can't (or won't) look it up. read more

I came here late July last year because my car's steering felt funny. I really appreciated that the guy at Octane called around and found used parts so that my bill would be lower. Last week, I ran over something metal on the interstate and my car suddenly became 10 times louder. I was worried I had done serious damage to my car. I took it to Octane thinking I would be happy if whatever damage I'd done could be fixed for less than five hundred. Turns out Octane repaired it for only FIFTY TWO dollars, even though I had punched a large hole in my exhaust. You see a lot of people saying "Honest" in these reviews. What they mean is that he won't overcharge you. They won't recommend things you don't actually need. Their labor prices per hour are the same everyone else and yet their estimates are always lower than other places. I don't want to say that other places pad their bills, but Octane has always given me significantly lower estimates for work than anyone else. Its not fancy or shiny, the desk is covered with catalogs and receipts and invoices (you literally can't see the countertop) but do yourself a favor and give these guys a call. I used to call 3 or 4 places to get quotes for work in the past. I never have think about who to call when I need a mechanic anymore, I just call these guys. read more
