A month, 3 different phone call check ins, later they "got one for me". I go to pick up a new hub cap to find out the one they gave me WAS MY ORIGINAL HUB CAP TO BEGIN WITH. Main St. in Woodstock, Ga. location has completely lost their management in my view. The manager I've relied on for the safety and integrity of my vehicles seems unconcerned about the public face his business is presenting. Extensive remediation in customer service, truthfulness, and maybe a good dose of empathy is in order. Customer concerns that were documented (photo) were dismissed as hysteria/woman. Today I had an appointment at Tires Plus Smyrna to have my car serviced. When I went to the appointment, I was told that they could not get to my car for another hour. I said I would go home and come back at 2. She said that if I went home, they would not hold my 1:00 appointment and would put others before me if I was not in the waiting room. I asked how I was supposed to have the service done if they didn't acknowledge the appointment? Should I be there when they open or what? She said the manager would be back in 15 minutes and would talk to me. I left and will not go back! read more

I have been bringing my family's cars here for years and I felt compelled today to write this review after we had to bring my husband's truck back in for the same issue we had before. Tires plus ended up repairing the same thing they did before and covered it under warranty but charged us for the diagnostic check. This is ridiculous. I would understand if it was truly something else but it was their crappy work to begin with that was the issue. Why should we have to pay for the diagnostic. This makes me think that they are just trying to nickel and dime us for whatever they can and especially as we turned down repairs for other items they noted needed addressing. I don think I will be bringing my cars back here. Time to find a new repair place. read more

Yesterday my car overheated (water/steam pouring out from under the hood) and we pulled into the parking lot next to Tires Plus (not knowing the business was right there) and looked at each other wondering what to do next. My son opened the hood but everything was way too hot to touch. That's when we saw the sign for Tires Plus. I went into the store and explained the situation to a lovely man behind the counter. He walked over to the car and told us the coolant was very low. So he poured several quarts of coolant into the coolant container next to the engine. Then he told me to wait 1/2 hour and come get him again, i did that. This time another wonderful gentleman came out and opened the radiator to pour more coolant in there. He had me turn on the engine to make sure everything was ok, I asked both men what I owed them for the coolant. They both told me there was no charge. They certainly went the extra mile and that is frankly priceless. I wish I knew their names so I could thank them, but at least I can write this and let you all know that the people at this shop and knowledgeable, polite, and have hearts of gold. read more

I came in because I had a nail in my tire. I asked them to repair it, check all the tires, and make sure they were all aired up to the appropriate PSI. They patched the tire but said nothing about the other tire that I knew had a gash in it. So they clearly didn't check the other tires. The tires had a wide range of PSI when I got it back from 32-37. The next day, one of my tires was getting low again. I took it to the dealer who said there were TWO nails in it! I recently realized I had a nail in my tire near a sidewall and decided to call Tires plus to see if they might be able to help me out. We had just moved to town and when I called Blake answered the phone and was very courteous and professional. We was able to get me take care of within 30 minutes of me dropping off the car and he even called me to tell me when they were starting the work, the scope of the job and then another call when the car was complete. All in all a great experience and just wanted to share this in hopes that it can help others find a good place to take their car. read more

At various points throughout my exposure to the Sandy Plains Tires Plus location I had negative experiences, listed below. - Overcharging for parts that I was easily able to find for cheaper than they quoted. - Unreliable quality of labor, had to come back many times for things that had been "fixed". Usually because what they replaced was not the issue or a component that they replaced broke again. - During one of my car's visits, a very recently fired employee of theirs slashed tires and keyed all cars that were on the lot. The process of working with Tires Plus to get damages covered was tedious and scattered. Communication was poor, I'd get them on the phone and it seemed like we'd make progress, but whatever action items that were discussed never ended up happening. Just wouldn't recommend. read more

Had a nail in my tire. Took car into Tires Plus and was greeted by Brandon at the service desk. Very pleasant and helpful. When I went back to pick up my car Brandon explained what they services they performed and how the treads on the tires are gauged. Charge was $20. Went in for oil change they said I needed new brakes, all while I was supposed to get a quick oil change I needed to drive 8 hours that day. 5 hours later they got the wrong rotors, had to go get different ones and when I finally thought I was done after fuming and waiting around all day, my rotors were bad and they had to put on my old ones. Will never come here again please don't give them business just look at their reviews. read more

First, this place has masks required signs everywhere and not a single employee was wearing one inside. Came in for an oil change and to get my wipers replaced at this location since I had an appointment near by. They "found" a very expensive issue so I ended up needing to drop way more than I intended. I'm usually fine with that because I want my car to be in good shape. Until it rained the next day and they charged me for a wiper replacement and didn't even do it. Shame on me for not checking. Not to mention it took 7 hours for all of this to take place. What a waste of a day. I called and told them about it and they wouldn't refund me unless I came in and I didn't feel comfortable because of the lack of masks in a deadly pandemic and this location was only convenient because it was near my appointment. Won't be returning. They clearly don't care about customers health, like to take advantage of people who don't know much about cars and, can't complete simple services. If you can, go to their Alpharetta location on Old Milton Parkway, way better store. read more

Took SUV in for oil change and tire rotation. The very next day my oil level warning light came on and I was close by so went back in. They checked and said oil level was good - must be a bad sensor. I took the vehicle back to dealer to check and he said the oil filter was not put back on correctly and was leaking oil. The dealer actually took pics to show me . Tires plus went to no trouble to check it - just said must be sensor - the SUV is only 1 year old and could have caused serious issues. Will not be going back. read more

A year ago, I get outstanding service on a transmission rebuild. This year, not so good. In September, My car with the new transmission has another transmission problem. I was expecting the service to be covered under warranty but instead I am told by the store manager that the repair was not covered. He charged me $600. Two weeks later, my car fails on the highway. I have the car towed to the dealer. They describe the same problem that Tires Plus supposedly fixed AND also tell me that it IS covered under my warranty. I confronted the store manager about this. He quickly gave me the full $600 refund. They did the right thing. Two weeks ago, the check engine light on my Jetta comes on. I take it to Tires Plus. They tell me that my radiator fan needs to be replaced...$280 for the fan, $250 for the labor, $150 to replace the thermostat and $100 for the diagnostic. They call me two hours later with the repairs and I am on my way. The next day the check engine light come. Instead of taking it back, I diagnosed it myself. I find out that it was an engine coolant sensor. I went to NAPA, paid $10 and replaced the sensor myself. Guess what? The light goes out. Problem fixed! Oh, and by the way, why did the radiator fan cost $280 when NAPA sells it for $80? Tires Plus has gone down hill fast since Ed left. On two occasions gauged me on a service that failed to address the issues in both my cars. At this point, I cannot trust them to service my cars with integrity and question their competency in being able to do more than tires. read more

Total waste of time. 5 Hours for an oil change and diagnostics. These guys promised everything over the phone and in person when we dropped it off, but when it came to actually doing the work, they took forever and tried to sell me on things I didn't even come there for. We have an extended warranty from CarMax, the cars cooling system and electrical issue with the window. We had two issues, both are covered under CarMax warranty. Back window electrical motor and the cooling system. We drop the car off at 8 AM and never got a call, so I called right before noon. They haven't even touched it, the guy said that they were trying to get a hold of Carmax warranty. Finally got a call from them at 12:30, this is where it starts getting annoying, the guy starts telling me about needing tires and I had to stop him and ask him, what about the reason I brought it in, for the AC in the window? He said that they couldn't get a hold of CarMax. What a lie, I knew he was lying because I had contacted CarMax just to verify if they would cover it and what they covered and if anyone called on this issue. They said no and that they do cover both issues. The guy at the front desk was very unprofessional when I went to pickup the vehicle. Here's were they changed the story, we go from, "couldn't get a hold of Maxcare warranty" to, "Maxcare doesn't cover the cooling or the window or any type of maintenance", his exact words. When I dropped it off, the guy said they deal with Maxcare all the time, but all the sudden, I get two conflicting answers from them, "couldn If they just did a Google search, they'd see that "CarMax MaxCare extended warranty covers the pre-owned car's cooling, electronics and electrical systems, front suspension, steering, front and rear wheel drive (all-wheel drive), air conditioning system, assemblies and controls and the interior of the vehicle." Then he tried to charge me a diagnostic fee, for them looking at the issue??? I already had the diagnosis prior to handing it over and I specifically told them not to do anything that's going to charge us outside of the warranty. I made that very clear when I dropped it off, and did Not sign anything that said that I would pay. He took off that charge and said, "I'm not going to argue with you". That's not something you say to a customer. Try, "Sorry about that, this is a standard policy." Either way, I learned my lesson. I will not waste my Saturday here again. read more

I needed four new tires and did a web search looking for a convenient location with good prices. I settled on Tires Plus for a couple of reasons: first, their web site lets you search for tires and gives you a quote, and it gave me a very reasonable quote. Second, the web site also lets you schedule an appointment, and they had appointments as early as 7:00 in the morning, which was convenient for me. On coming in at 7:00, I got my work scheduled right away and the quote was honored. They quote a time of no more than 59 minutes to replace tires, but asked if I wanted the alignment checked. That added another half hour to their estimate. The waiting area is decent with free wifi and coffee. The wifi signal was very good, so you can do work there if you like. They also had a pot of coffee. After they checked my alignment, they said it needed adjustment, and that added another half hour to the estimate. The pricing for the align,net was a little unusual. The amount depended on how long a warranty you wanted. I got a one year warranty and the price was about $89. My four tires were about $377, so I got out of there spending less than $500 and ended up waiting about two hours. Overall, it was a good deal. They also will rotate the tires for free every 5000 miles. They do other auto maintenance services like oil changes. I would definitely try them again. read more

I went to this location twice within a month. once for battery replacement and another time for fuel tank replacement. My battery turned dead and did not work after a month. Got work done from another garage. The other garage told me that that they replaced the original battery with a faulty battery. They also replaced the fuel pump on my other car saying that the check engine light was because of the malfunctioning fuel pump. A week later my fuel tank started leaking... I got it checked by another dealer and the dealer said that these guys broke the seal on the fuel tank when they replaced the fuel pump. I had to get the entire fuel tank replaced. Called the guys on both occasions and were unapologetic and i guess they don't care for repeat business. Needless to say will never go there and would advise others to stay away from these guys They wrecked my cars. read more

Went for a tire repair, rotation ( bought my tires there so it's free) and an oil change. Took care of that pretty well, but that's basic stuff. My problem comes from them trying to sell me a brake job I didn't need. Said I needed a complete brake job. Rotors, pads, the works. $1100! Said 2mm on front pads 3 on back. Second opinion....5mm on front, 4mm on back.....they start at 8 mm. Won't ever return. read more

Nice people but every time we come with a coupon they always find a way to charge more than they are suppose to. Example i had a booster coupon for 12.99 I ended up having to pay $22.72 which is more that my oil changes at NTB. And the time before that we had a booster coupon for a free oil change and ended up paying $9 which wasnt as bad but still it's crazy to have a coupon with not exclusions or other info than $12.99 or free. And end up paying us more than stated in writing. read more

Tires Plus location - near the intersection of Shallowford Road and Sandy Plains. They just lost 2 customers. A dishonest business. Buyers beware. My husband and I have been regular customers of this Tires Plus location. Last weekend, my husband brought his truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. When he picked it up, the tires were shiny like they had been cleaned. When he got home, he was highly suspicious that they never rotated the tires. Upon close examination, they didn't look rotated. However, since Tires Plus sprayed wheel shine on the tires, it would be impossible to show them the brake dust as proof of the allegations. Yesterday (a week after my husband brought his truck in), I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. However, before I went there, I marked my tires with a sharpie. This way I would know for certain if they rotated the tires. When I went to pick it up, the tires were shiny. Before I went to pay, I looked at the tires and saw my sharpie marks and they DID NOT rotate my tires. When I went to pay, I asked them to confirm that they did indeed rotate my tires. They said yes. My husband was with me and told them they did not. Brandon was ringing us up. He claimed it must have been an oversight. He wanted my husband to explain why he thought they didn't do it. He brought him outside and showed him the marks on the tires. There was no apology. He seemed angry at us and said he would now have to take the vehicle around back and rotate them himself. We waited less than 15 minutes. It was done. When we went to check out, nothing was said to us. Brandon wouldn't look at us or speak to us. No one apologized or gave explanation. They are deceitful. More than likely, this is what they are doing to any customer that asks for a tire rotation. I don't think these are isolated incidents. They spray the tires with a tire shine so when you pick your car up you think they went above and beyond to clean it up. But this is not the case. They are spraying the tires to eliminate the brake dust, which will be present on the front tires. If the tires were rotated, the dust would now show on the back tires. So, as a result, we will never go back to this location again. read more

WARNING about Tires Plus at Shallowford/Sandy Plains and their unethical/fraudulent business practices. Obviously I'm relaying this incident for informational purposes. But as we all know, you can't make strong decisions without having ALL the information. Do your research. Don't just patronize a business because it's the most convenient to your commute or out of a misplaced sense of loyalty and trust like we did. Safety first! Our family has taken 5 different cars there over the past decade for various services. A few years ago there was at least one technician fired because he was rebuilding parts and charging customers for new parts. My husband had his steering rack replaced twice before the manager at that time finally explained the third time he brought it in that, oh, we had to let that technician go for reasons I can't disclose, but we'll go ahead and get your truck taken care of free of charge. We were assured the issue was taken care of and took them at their word and continued to patronize them for years, but NO MORE! Two weeks ago I dropped off my Subaru to have a tire patched because of a nail. When I called a couple hours later to see if it was ready, the store manager proceeded to hard sell me on getting four new tires immediately because I had nails in two additional tires with very slow leaks that were unpatchable, and he identified specifically which tires they were, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the fourth tire. Now, Subarus are all-wheel drive, and putting on tires that are more than 2/32nds apart will cause severe damage to the drive train. I was not ready to buy four tires at the time so I asked that they patch the original tire and I would return at a later date. Flash forward a few hours and I have to pull over halfway to Chattanooga at 10 o'clock at night because my low pressure light comes on. They had NOT patched the tire. The nail was still there. And in fact, they had NOT even reinflated my tire to full pressure. I know this because I was able to drive the past two weeks on that tire without it losing pressure enough to engage the warning light. My husband spoke to the store manager the morning after to explain the situation and was told he would receive a follow-up call from the store and the area manager would be told and would be contacting him. Five days later, after no return phone call from either, he called and was told he would be escalated to the regional manager. Guess what? No return phone call. Today he called and was told he was being escalated to corporate. Not holding our breaths on a return phone call. So today I took the car to NTB on East Piedmont for them to patch the tire. While the tire was off, we inspected it to find one other patch, put on by NTB themselves sometime last year because Tires Plus was too busy to fit in a long-time customer. NTB charged me nothing for the patch either time. I called the store and explained to Brandon, their front-end person, what I discovered and was first told, oh, no, we couldn't patch that tire because we can't patch when there's already been other patches. Not only was the previous patch almost exactly 180 degrees from the nail hole, but NTB told me it's generally known that tire stores will patch up to three patches, not just two. When I relayed this info to Brandon, I was put on hold for a few minutes and then he came back on and said, oh, I can tell you what happened, I've spoken to everybody and there was some miscommunication, we patched tire number four. Uh, no you did not! I was told I had nails in 3 TIRES, not four. When I explained to your store manager that I wasn't ready to purchase four new tires and could he please just patch the one I brought the car in for, he NEVER said, oh, sorry, that's unpatchable, too. In fact, he said, no problem, we'll get it patched and put back on the car and it'll be ready to pick up in 15 minutes. And then to add insult to injury, when I explained ALL THAT to Brandon and asked for my $21 to be refunded, I was told, well, you'll have to come in so we can inspect the tires and I'll be able to point out to you where we patched it. No, thanks! You will never see me again! read more

Tiresplus always mark up their price. I learnt the hard way yesterday. As a regular customer I go to all my vehicle service to TiresPlus, but found out yesterday, they marked up 200% for a Toyota Prius battery. If they are doing this for a regular customer like me I am not sure how much they swindle from other customers. Please beware of this place and always double check the price with another place for the exact same service before signing up for it. read more
