Had a 700r4 transmission rebuilt and had to take the truck back numerous times for leaking. After…read morethe 3rd attempt in repairs, my truck started overheating which it never did the entire time I drove it there. After picking the truck up the third time, it broke down due to overheating. Had it towed where it sat momentarily and the transmission still leaked. I had to make the decision to accept a loss due to not wanting to take the truck for a 4th time and having additional issues once I received the vehicle. I had to take the truck into another shop to diagnose and fix. BEWARE To the shop owner that replied: Please read the review of its entirety! You had (3) attempts! And you couldn't get it right. So miraculously my truck started overhearing after pick up which cracked the heads and the truck went down for a while. Needless to say, I would never recommend this company after all the issues you have given my son and I. Record keeping: it's not my responsibility to keep up with this but my American Express shows the deduction date August 2nd 2025 of $2622 for the rebuild. I suppose it's easier for you to deny if you don't have record. Only reason I waited this long is because the extent of damage caused by the overheating made me replace the entire engine. As a Veteran to others take this warning and be careful when you do business with this company despite the other reviews. The message from the business owner Christian is a copy and paste response. So professional. Even though I spoke to him and his wife or receptionist when the complications were going on. He even towed it from my house. Funny how Christian forgets!

Everything is thoroughly explained. You tell them what you need, they inspect your entire vehicle & give you other things that needed attention, like my rear wiper, which I declined, as I never uses it. Whatever you agreed to, then the work is done. They charge a fair price, even cheaper, like with oil change, than the place I used to go to get my oil change. Randall, Pat, Gage? are great, friendly guys. They keep you updated on your vehicle status. This is my go to shop from now on. Glad I found them.

It's just this lot off of Buford Highway that honestly doesn't look visually appealing from the road. A small lot with a bunch of cars randomly parked- no clear parking spots, the entrance of the building is off to the side. We dropped our car off and didn't receive a call or an estimate the rest of the day. We figured they were just busy given all the cars in the lot. That gave us more reassurance that so many cars were there. However, first thing the next morning we received a call letting us know what to expect in terms of cost, what was wrong, and our options. They were very honest, explained everything thoroughly, AND best of all, did not try to push anything on us. We were given the cost estimate to rebuild our transmission with new parts or get a used transmission. They gave us recommendations and did not push the more expensive option on us. We opted for the used transmission, which we were told would take 1-2 days for the part to arrive. We assumed we wouldn't get the car back until the next week. The very next day we were called and told the car would be ready in 2 days. Much much faster than anticipated. They offered to replace the clutch for us too, which we declined and they didn't try to push it on us. The next day, we were updated on everything, and we decided to go ahead and replace the clutch. Despite this, the car STILL finished before the anticipated time. When I picked up the car, we were informed that he fixed another part for us and refilled the coolant for no charge, the transmission has a 6 month warranty, and lastly, I mentioned a discount on the website for $100 which he happily applied to our bill. The car drives amazingly. The clutch feels great. The transmission works perfectly. Shifting gears has never been easier. We are so pleased with the work, the speed, price, and how thorough the communication was. Trust the reviews and take your car here for any transmission needs.

We had to call every few days to get an update or we would hear nothing. We finally got the car back after about 2 1/2 weeks. It seemed to run fine. After a few months, however, we were still having transmission issues and were provided diagnostic codes when we took it to a near by auto part store. Fine. It's under warranty. We take the car back to the shop. Our vehicle sat at the shop for legitimately 1.5 weeks with little to no calls or updates. We finally retrieved our car without our warranty repairs as we were given excuses about how short staffed they were and how someone had jury duty, blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, we're renting cars, taking Lyfts, Ubers, etc... all while the car is just sitting there. Simply said, this shop does not honor their warranty or at least not with any urgency at all. If you have 100 years to wait.. then maybe your experience could be different.

He does not do the work quickly, he takes the time and does it right. He got my truck and spent a week researching any recalls before starting work, to make sure I didn't have to pay for a repair before starting. I had a rebuilt trans shipped to Neese Transmission, and during the install, the valve body was bad from the new transmission I bought, He let me know and was fair in the install price. The amount for the repair was a little more than his estimate, but it was a 4 wheel drive pickup install, so this was more complicated than most transmissions. I recommend this shop for folks who need transmission service.

Well, they bent over backwards to help me aslong I had my vehicle in shop before 8am. I arrived at 7:45 am, Scott was opening up shop. I gave him the key & hoofed off to Corner Coffee. Scott shows up at Corner Coffee at about 12:30 pm to pick me up after repairs were done. He tells me that the transmission pump replacement took much less time than anticipated. So he gives me a generous labor credit. I was floored. AAA Auto Care wanted $7K to replace the transmission when all I needed was a pump replacement - a $2K cost. The honesty, integrity and communication was flawless. As a small business owner, I value these principles - and they nailed it. So don't even think twice before having Mr Transmission do your car repair for transmissions, brake work, fluid changes (oil, transmission, brakes, coolant), etc. If they don't do it, you can expect an honest answer. Can't say enough good things about these guys.

If I could rate this place lower...I WOULD...and by several levels…read more Initially, I had taken our 1994 Toyota 4Runner to them with a very, VERY slight transmission fluid leak and intermittent slippage when in DRIVE. In less than an hour after leaving the vehicle with them for their diagnosis, they called to say that the fluid level was low and the fluid pan gasket needed replacing, as did the fluid filter/screen. So, over the phone, I approved the repair work to be done. The next day, not only was the leak back, but it was 20-30 times worse -- not mere DROPS, as it was when taken in for the assessment/repair. The fluid is POURING onto our garage floor. So, I returned the car, and they replaced the "replaced gasket" with a new gasket, and I took the car home. Yep, you guessed it! A couple of days later, the leak is back and worse, now, than it was after the initial repair. As well, their front desk associate -- Cameron, who is the son of the owner -- gave me grief when I expressed my disappointment in their, would let me talk by talking over me. Then I encouraged him to let me speak, if I was to avoid suing them. He then unleashed a tirade of screams, using that narcissistic challenge of, "Do you know who you're talking to?!!! And then hung up on me. I immediately called back, and the owner had been brought to the phone and tried to explain...EXCUSE their shoddy work. First, he thought I was completely ignorant of car repair, not knowing that I'd grown up on a farm, helping my dad repair and retool LOTS of major machinery components, INCLUDING TRANSMISSIONS, manual mind you. Ultimately, I had to FORCE them to remove some of the fluid, they had refilled the fluid level way, WAY, WAYYYYYY beyond the FULL notch on the fluid check dipstick. Since then, the leak essentially has disappeared; however, here's the remaining issue, which I didn't mention, given the fundamental failure to resolve the leak. Not only did leak issue worsen on order of magnitude, but so did the transmission slippage -- now not just in DRIVE, but also in SECOND gear, failing to "pull" from a dead standstill, but will kick in after starting the car in LOW, then shifting upward and settling in DRIVE. Needless to say, HELL will receive a ton of fur coat shipments before I'd EVER take my care back to these guys. And, now, YOU stand forewarned. I'd been referred to them by SIGNATURE Auto Repair, who's just next door, literally, as THEY don't do transmission work. Ironically, neither does this MR. TRANSMISSION. Be warned...or be incalculably sorry!!!

I looked up to find out more about my van, and after talking to a friend about it he suggested taking it to Landmark in Roswell, (even though I live opposite side of town) and he would talk with them. My friend had 3 vehicles that he sent to Landmark and was happy with them. My Toyota van was drivable so I left it on a Sunday (they have a drop box for keys) and spoke with Dennis on Monday As it turned out, I had a seal that was leaking and did not need a new transmission as mine was sound. Seems the AAmco chains are prone to upcharge a lot (especially if one is a woman) but Landmark fixed the problem within 2 days. I am very happy with Landmark and Dennis and would recommend them if one has a problem with their trans. He is patient with people asking questions and is not condescending as some techs can be. Price is in line with the work and one does not feel they have been overcharged. Ammaco it seems does not have a good reputation going by what I have found out online. Mechanical repairs because of the what is in cars/vans/trucks is more complicated nowadays so it is a benefit when one can find a shop that is overall customer friendly.

Due to my first experience with the CV axel going well I decided to return to have my thermostat replaced, oil change, and a tune up. Again, I was quoted a very reasonable price for the work and when I returned to pick up my car (which was ready same day) I noticed that they washed my car for me. Words cant describe how happy I am with KLM and the service that they provide. There arent many honest mechanics these days, but I truly trust Luis and his team. Without our authorization, the shop added brake fluid, claiming the brake pedal went to the floor when they moved the truck into the bay. This was never discussed with us beforehand, nor were we given the opportunity to approve or decline the work. More troubling, within about a mile of leaving the shop, we experienced a complete brake failure. This created a dangerous situation that should never occur after a vehicle has just been serviced. When we contacted the owner, he claimed he had informed us there was a brake shop next door if we needed further service. That statement is simply not true--no such information was provided. While the original issue was fixed, the lack of communication, unauthorized work, and the safety risk we experienced afterward are unacceptable. We strongly recommend others proceed with caution and ensure all work is clearly authorized and explained before service is performed.

One week later, we left for that road trip and almost immediately received a low-pressure notification from the vehicle. We turned around, went back home, and found oil all over our driveway. We are now sitting at a Firestone waiting for them to fix a leak at the oil drain plug that was completely ignored by your technicians. Furthermore, the only oil they found in the vehicle seems like old oil that was never changed in the first place. This is completely unacceptable. We did exactly what responsible customers are supposed to do. We brought the vehicle in before a road trip, clearly explained the situation, and trusted your staff to do the job properly. Instead, we are dealing with a potentially serious issue, a ruined travel day, oil on our driveway, and the added time and expense of having another shop inspect your work. You have lost us as customers permanently. I also want to be very clear that I intend to make sure people know exactly what happened at this location. I will be sharing this experience honestly and publicly because I do not believe people should trust a shop that sends a customer out the door after an oil change and "road trip check," only for that customer to find oil leaking all over their driveway a week later. I can't recommend Delong's enough! They've always taken great care of our cars, and they proved again today that their customers matter. They replaced all four ignition coils in my Camry back in February, and one of them went bad this weekend while I was out of town. Had to pay several hundred dollars to get it replaced. Then the check engine light came back on right as I was getting back home. After running diagnostics, they figured out the transmission was overheating - completely unrelated to the coil issue. HOWEVER... the work it took to diagnose the problem, change the transmission fluid, and do the oil change (I was due for one) totaled about $225. Here's where it gets AMAZING. Delong's said they wanted to make things right because they did the work on the coils and none of them should have gone bad. They did all of today's work for FREE + gave me a free future oil change to make up for the money I had to spend to replace the coil. Will I be going back to them with all my future car repair and maintenance needs? Darn skippy I will be! ♥ If you live anywhere near Marietta, GA, please take your cars to Delong's! read more

Scott and his son Ryan would get fired from a basic oil change business! There sign says "Integrity" what a joke. I have taken my vehicle to them unfortunately many times thinking they were honest mechanics (and I use the mechanics term extremely loosely now). They take no accountability for their mistakes and treat their customers like they are idiots. How he has stayed in business this long baffles me... If anyone does read this WATCH he will respond saying "I have no idea who you are and at Delongs we take our customers needs seriously." If that was the case why would I spend my time writing about these clowns? Exactly I would not!! Take my advice if you are thinking about going there, DON'T!!! read more

On a Sunday morning on my way to church my water pump on my Bavarian Beauty decided to call it quits. Fortunately for me I was just a few miles from DeLongs Auto. From a friends suggestion and several glowing reviews I gave him a call early Monday morning. He suggested I call Falcon Towing and have them tow me in and figure out the problem. Falcon showed up just when they said they would and once in the capable hands of DeLongs' they got me back on the road later that afternoon. AWESOME experience. Scott has resolved all of these problems in a quick and efficient manner and at a reasonable cost. I have been very satisfied with the service that I have received from Scott and/or his employees. Convenient, dependable, honest, and reliable --- hard adjectives that describe this auto service center. Never go anywhere else for auto service...Scott has saved me from buying bum cars three times. I would never buy a used car before having him inspect it first! Also, he and his service technicians inspect cars according to manufacturer's specifications. During a routine oil change, Chris, a certified Honda technician, found out my daughter's tires needed replacing because of uneven wearing which was a major safety issue. I have a 1999 Lexus GS 300 and because of the its age, I've been taking it to the Lexus dealership until I moved near the Sprayberry area and saw their billboard. Though, Scott Delong's mission statement is "Honesty and Integrity" they need to add some of the best technicians in the business in there because these guys know what they're doing. I had the headlight error code on the dash as a result of disconnecting my headlights for another job. I stopped by that place and specifically asked HOW MUCH WOULD it cost to clear that code? Scott started with " Those lights are expensive, it is going to be $1500 job" I told him how the error code came and that it takes 20 sec. to clear with VAG-COM. He said "okay let me check". 5 min later he came to me and said "Code is cleared. $95" That is ridiculous and I will never ever stop there again. read more

I have been taking my car to Scott off and on for 6 years. Have to say he has always been honest and up front about the repairs. I have actually been quoted a auto repair job but because it was not as involved as Scott originally thought He reduced the charge. I have never had a mechanic do this. I was recommended to go to Scott's by family members that have been going there for a while. My AC was broken (in August!!) and I needed it fixed ASAP. They first estimated it would cost over $800 to fix but once they went it to begin the work, turns out it was a bad connection that needed fixing and the cost went down to $230! Ran into a curb, lost a hubcap, bent the rim and tire low on air. I took it to DeLong's when a friend recommended them to me and they are just around the corner from my house. In and done! What more do you want?! Took my 2011 Nissan Rogue in for AC work. Had already diagnosed it to be the clutch, but everyone else wanted to do a full compressor replacement for $$$$. I needed 2 new tires, 2 studs (since some idiot put the lug nuts on crooked an stripped them), and an alignment. Done in under 2 hours. They even topped off my oil before I headed out (after I paid for the repairs). I'll definitely take my car there for future repairs. read more

Even the well known Auto Cool in Smyrna could not fix it, Mac at Crawford was able to. Auto Cool's repair lasted about a year and failed to work. We brought the car back, and this time it stopped working a week later. When we went back again we were told there is nothing they could do because of the age of the car. Well, Mac fixed it, and that was five years ago!!!
