They broke my tire pressure sensor changing a tire and didn't bother telling me I went back they refused to take responsibility for it, and they said they can't be sure it was working before I came in, and those sensors go bad all the time. My car is less than a year old. Please stay away from this shop the Service Writer, Service Manager, and Techs all look like tweakers and probably get high and drunk on the job. wish I could give this location zero stars. They charged me $900 for a water pump and drive belt. My car again overheated, I had it towed to a different shop who replaced the car's original water pump!!! The drive belt was installed incorrectly, which caused damage to the battery. I called and filed a claim with tires plus, owned by Bridgestone after the manager (Todd) called me a liar, refused to send me a copy of the receipt and hung up on me. I was the first customer of the day when I purchased my new tires. The service appointment took 2 hours and twenty minutes. The customer waiting area was separated from the work bays by glass. During the time my car was being serviced I frequently walked around looking for the mechanic servicing my car and never saw anyone close to my vehicle. The tires I purchased were in stock. When I got home my wheel covers were covered in grease that took 80 minutes to fully remove. I spent more than $1,000 for 4 new tires and 2 of them have had air pressure leaks since the installation 10 days ago. The store manager called after I posted a negative comment to corporate and offered 2 free oil changes. I have been back to the store twice and he has not been there and no one else knows about the gift cards. I don't recall ever being treated so poorly as a customer. I will never return to Tires Plus and recommend that no one else risk a comparably horrible customer service experience. read more

Went to Tires Plus to drop my car off first thing in the morning only to find a handwritten note taped to the front door stating that they were closed and wouldn't be opening for hours. When I did finally get my car serviced, they gave me a very hard time about getting a hard copy of the receipt because they send them via email. When I checked the receipt via email, I saw that they got my mileage wrong by ~20,000 miles. When I called and asked for it to be amended, they refused. Poor service all around. read more

I brought my car in on August 29, 2019, for a tire replacement under warranty and the service was excellent and the wait time was average for this kind of work. I also had questions about my suspension and expected a very expensive repair; However, the tech offered me a free inspection and let me know that all that was needed was an alignment - badly. Most repair places will try to talk you into spending $1,000s but not Tires Plus on E Tamiami!! This one has always proved to be honest and true - and this visit was the same! Took my truck in for a fuel filter on a Wednesday afternoon. They said they could not get the filter until Thursday. They asked Thursday or Friday for the install, I said how's Saturday, they say how about 1100. That's great, how long. About an hour. I'm like an hour, I can do it in 20 mintues. "Well we have all these government requirements so it takes longer in a shop." I'm going to have to talk to Donald about getting some of these requirements lifted so we don't have to wait 1hr for a 20 minute job. Saturday I drop off at 1100 and walk home. At 1300 I go back, the truck is in the bay but no work has started. They try to lie, I can see through the windows they haven't started. I've changed that filter 4 times, once while it was snowing when it had froze. I know what I'm talking about dumb ass clerk. Its takes him 5 minutes to check on the status. "Sir it will be 30 minutes." I said, I told you it was a 20 minute job. 45 minutes later it's still not done. I ask for my keys back so I can leave. You can't go the mechanic is working on it. See him under the hood. 10 minutes later he closes the hood. Yup a 20 minute job took them over 3 hours. I will never recommend nor will I ever return. read more

Specifically, my review relates to my HONEST experience with Todd Teasly the Store Manager. Simply, we had overheated on I75 nearby. A friend who lives in the area had a previously good experience here so we had the vehicle towed to their shop. I admit they were extremely busy and it did take them until the next day to look at the vehicle, but given it was about noon already I did not have any expectations. Fearing the worst we discovered that the car had no fluid left in the radiator. Upon filling the car with fluid, running a 1 hour pressure test, and another test at idle speed running for an additional 45 minutes with the AC running it was found that there was no leak detected or evidence thereof. It was simply a mystery until Todd asked "did you leave the radiator cap loose when you checked the fluid?" to which I replied I HAD NOT TOUCHED THE RADIATOR CAP WHATSOEVER! So after discussion and general consensus we figured out that fluid simply was escaping from the loose cap and caused the car to overheat. When I asked what I owed them I was told $10.69. You read that right, TEN DOLLARS... I stated that could not be right as they spent time inspecting and testing. Todd said we could not find aything wrong and so there is not charge for the visit. They could easily have told me it was a water pump or something of the sort and frankly I would have believed them. But no, they were beyond honest and fair and sent us on our way. Real honest, hard working people (in the car industry ?? You read that right.) My tire was almost flat on a Friday afternoon nearing 5:00pm. I couldn't find anything in it, so I brought it in here, where I had never been. They told me if it was the valve stem it would cost me about $20. Not going to lie, as a woman I was leery and thought they would absolutely charge me more and find some kind of other problems. Well, I had to take all skepticism back as they took my car, inspected it, fixed it, and returned the keys to me within 20 minutes. I couldn't believe it! Sure enough, it was the valve stem, and they stayed true to their word. My total cost was $21.39. I will be sure to return here with any issues I have in the future. We had a screw in our tire. Although we have tire insurance with our regular dealership we wanted to get it patched quickly due to a very busy week. The cost would be $32 and this place could take us right away so we headed there. They looked at the tire and said the screw was too close to the edge and the tire would need replacing. It did not seem at all close to the edge to us, but we told them we had tire insurance with our dealership so please just install the spare. At that point they opened my trunk, looked inside, and closed it again. When we asked for an update they said they decided to patch the tire after all. Why look in my trunk if you're going to patch it? Why say you cannot patch it when you can? They had very vague answers to these questions. The positive (2stars) is that we were able to be seen quickly. The missing three stars are for the unnecessary up sell and lack of integrity. If you choose this location, be aware. read more

Went in for an oil change. After the oil change the tech took the car out for a test drive (not sure why). Got in my car to drive home and my brake booster was blown.also items that were on the seats were on the floor. Apparently, during the road test the tech must have stood on the brakes and blown the seal in the booster. Dropped my car off at 8:40AM for a Noon appointment. Oil change, tire balance and rotation, and wheel alignment. Called at 4:00PM to see when the car would be ready (they were closing at 5:00PM that day). We were told 30 minutes. Got to the shop at 4:30 and the car is not ready. In fact, NOTHING was done to the car. It sat all day and these morons AGAIN did not do their job. Apparently when you purchase lifetime alignment, rotation, and balance, they do their damnedest to rip you off and not perform the services paid for in advance. Why is zero stars not an option? I went there just before 10:00 AM to see about getting a tire patched. They said I needed to make an appointment so I made one for noon, left my tire there and drove home with my spare. Around 11:10 am they called saying my tire was too damaged and that I needed to buy a new one. After hearing the price quote I agreed and they said they would call when it was ready. More than 4 hours later I still had not received their call so I called them and no one answered. After trying again a little later I finally got through and they said it was ready. I drove back there to pay them and have the tire and rim put back on my car, finally at around 4:00 PM I have my new tire on and ready to get on with my life. 6 hours of my day to get one tire replaced. The next time I need tire service I will be looking elsewhere. I wish I had read their reviews before going there, I see a lot of other 1 star ratings in their reviews. read more

It's a pleasure to write a review about a truly honest and reputable company. The other day I went to tires plus to replace a leaking tire that I thought had a slow leak. I was prepared to spend $150 for a new tire, when the technician came out and asked me a simple question. Did I really want a new tire or should he plugged the hole that was created by a small nail that I was unaware of. Needless to say the $25 repair was ordered. It would have been very simple for them to charge me for a new tire and I never would have known better. However the honesty of the people that work there should be rewarded with a favorable review. I honestly wish yelp offered a -* on here. I really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!! I used them to do some auto repair on a car about 10 years ago, my check engine light kept coming on. So I took it in to see what was up? They told me I needed something to do with the converter ? which of course I didn't know being a women what that was, they offered to fix the issue so I said fine. After they put it in or did what they "said" they did I paid and left the shop the very next day the check engine light was back, took it back again they "said" they had to adjust something, again I leave the shop. This time it was a full 2 days until it came back on? I got on my computer and e-mail the website. To my surprise someone called me back the very next morning to address the issue and ask me if I wouldn't mind taking it to another Tires Plus on the other side of town? Which I did and the guy there seemed like he knew what the issue was and explain to me what was wrong? something totally not related to what they told me in the first place!! I was so angry..... He told me that he understood why and they wanted to charge me to get the right part and put it in!!!!!! I said no thank you, I will take it somewhere else to get it done! ended up the guy who called me on the phone after I contacted them called me back and told me he was very sorry for the mistake, please return to that shop and "ALL" repairs they had to do where free of charge including the part. Yes that was very nice of him to do that is what I would have expected from the beginning. All these years pass by and I have gotten a new vehicle and because it was so close to my work and all I decided to give them a try yet again, for an oil change. I drop my car and go to work. After work I go to get my car, pay and honestly was shocked at the price for an oil change $80. I ask why so much he tells me that I needed synthetic blend had I ever had the oil change? I said no this was the first time its a new car for me. I get in my car and leave but when I get home I look at the inside of the drivers door and there was grease on the door, and find a dirty rag under the seat! And they also put the sticker on for me to have a oil change in 3 months. I am looking in my owners manual and because of the oil that goes in it I only need an oil change once a year, or 10,000 miles!! I am sure they knew that . I do not trust these guys and am not happy with there service in anyone of there stores in my area. Had a rental car from Hertz with bald tires. They contacted Tires Plus for replacements. Tires Plus came and towed the minivan so that we didn't have to waste our vacation time. As I said in my initial review Tires Plus is a great place to buy tires. Competitive with Costco if that says anything. I was very disgruntled about their repair charges and being on the shady side of business. After speaking to their customer service folks, no blame can be put on the store, they are just following the Bridgestone/Firestone edict. Same edict that car dealers use in their service departments and as a result mechanical service cost are considerably more versus an independent mechanic (not all are necessarily the best value either either). On a busy Sunday morning, during the summer, these guys had no problem diagnosing and putting a new battery in my diesel Jetta. I had been to Autozone, where they said I needed a starter and the battery was fine(which I knew was false, as the symptoms did not suggest starter), and Advanced Auto Parts, which said they could not change the battery because of inability to access(again not true). Luckily, Advanced recommended Tires Plus, and Kenneth was very efficient and got me out of there in a little over an hour. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I wish I could give zero stars for this place. Had a flat tire 3 weeks ago, they changed with no issues. But now the same tire is flat, 3 WEEKS LATER. I had technicians at my company look at the tire - no indication of leeks from the outside. I called at 650pm to bring it in the next morning. At 655am the next morning took it in and was greeted with a very rude and unpleasant man, who claimed I would have to wait because I did not have an appt, He walked away, saying it's not even 7 yet. He comes back later to tell me that a tire sensor was loose when the tire was originally fixed, and that was the problem. 2 hours later came back and said the charge would be $36 because there was a nail in the tire. I explained that I had my company's technicians look at it with no nail being found. A very unprofessional stare began from this "clerk", whereby he went to the back, threw arms in the air with the service techs, came back and said "no charge." Is this how to run a professional business? At the very least train your employees how to deal with customers. read more

I was pleasantly surprised that Paul the store manager called trying to fix the issue until he followed up with lies. He informed me that the air filter took a while to order. I remember looking at my watch when I was approached for the air filter and it was 55 minutes in to my wait. Also note it was 45 minutes until they started. Also note I deigned the air filter at first cause they wanted $50 for it. He convinced me 10 minutes later with half off one of the two filter (which I believe was unnecessary - only have 15k miles on my car). Paul, simply say I was over booked which was obvious. Truth. Something you don't get from an auto/tire shop. I was however offered half off my next oil change which is only half of the guarantee they presented. The lady before me also waited around the same time was denied a free oil change since she got the tire rotation which is a part (free) of the oil change. No excuse for 100 minute wait.
