My dad, who is 78 and on a very small fixed income, had the knock sensor in his Honda CRV replaced by them last July. They overcharged him for both the part and the labor. The senor went bad a few weeks ago and because of that, his car won't pass emissions inspection. We took it back to Tires Plus and told them about the bad part to see if they would replace it under warranty since it's only been a year and a half. I was informed that the warranty is only for 12 months or 12,000 miles, so they wouldn't cover the cost of replacement. They charged twice as much for a bad sensor that didn't even last 6,000 miles and now they refuse to make good on it. They used to be a halfway decent shop several years ago when I lived in the area, but now they're terrible. read more

The Worst Tire Shop and Repair Shop Experience Ever First they tried to rip me off for mechanical work on a wheel bearing replacement that I was able to do myself by renting free tools from Oreilly's. After I made this repair that they recommended, they refused to do my wheel alignment (something I couldn't do myself) before my trip to Florida. This created a dangerous situation which caused 2 tires wear out prematurely @20k miles, ruining a relatively new set of 4 80k miles tires ($600 set of tires). that I purchased from this store. I got no satisfaction talking with Tires Plus/Firestone Corp, whom I contacted immediately after this experience. I will never do business again with Firestone or sub Tires Plus. I had a confirmed 4pm appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. To start, my car wasn't ready until 7:30pm (they close at 7pm). Upon checking out, I was told i needed new wiper blades because they were streaking. When I told them they had just replaced them in June, they changed their tune and said "oh you bought them from us? Nevermind then, they're good." Very suspect that they were just trying to upsell me without actually checking the condition. The worst part, my tire psi is supposed to be 35. When I got in my car, at 7:30pm, the psi was reading 59-60 on all tires. I thought this must be a mistake. So I went back inside and had them double check it. It was in fact, reading correct, they had inflated my tires by almost double the recommended tire pressure. How dangerous!! Thank goodness I checked it. they said their tire pressure sensor must just be off. That's a huge mistake because my tires could have easily popped the next morning being overinflated that much. Avoid this place at all costs. Dishonest, untimely, and making inexcusable mistakes. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My truck had a power steering leak. Tires Plus did an inspection and said I needed a new rack & pinion, a new power steering pump, hoses and sensor. They quoted me $6800. I said no and told them I will take my truck to another shop, they said okay let us get the truck ready for you. Little did they know I was 5 minutes away. Instead of finding my truck being put back together, it was in the lot. A blatant lie. I then brought my truck to another shop and all that was wrong with my truck was a loose power steering hose. The problem was fixed for $140 and it drives great. NOTHING was wrong with the rack & pinion, sensor nor the pump. Do not bring your vehicle to this place, they are crooks. read more

Needed some economical tires for my daughter's car. Purchased several sets of tires there over a decade. Always had good service until I came across Nate. Nate lied and said he couldn't get the tires I wanted, but magically had the more expensive set in stock and the nearest set was miles away. He lied! (I called a nearby store after and they said they could get them no problem). Then he said it needed an alignment, but never provided any print out. Then Nate included the optional road hazard warranty without asking me if I wanted it. Never went over the bill or the services. The "out the door price" on the website didn't match what I was being charged, even minus the alignment and warranty I didn't ask for. Overcharged me nearly $200. The problem is I trusted the business. Never again. I will never be back. Years of good excellent service ruined by one greedy jerk. Thanks a lot (sarcasm), Nate. They also lost a future customer. Beware!!! They put zip ties on my control arm because they broke the bolt that goes on there. It look like they cut the rubber on the driver side ball joint. They had my passenger seat pulled all the way up and my steering wheel was moved all the way down like they was trying to break something else smh. Do you like being ignored by workers when you enter an establishment? If so, Tires Plus in Powder Springs is for you. There were two young women at the counter, both were on the phone. The first one to finish her call did not immediately acknowledge me. In fact, she slowly typed on her keyboard, almost as if she could pretend I wasn't there and maybe I'd just go away. When she did greet me, she told me they were too busy. She had a dismissive attitude. It's one thing to be busy but another thing to be rude about it. If it wasn't for Brittney I would have snatched my car off the ceiling with my messed up rotors and left. After waiting for an hour and a half then being told my car was just now going to begin getting worked on.. I continued to wait. No problem. Once I went onto 3 hours, I decided to go to the window and see what was going on. The mechanic was eating a sandwich standing around, in the middle of working on my car as i'm watching him from the window is insane to me. Then getting mad when the manager addresses it. I was there 3 hours and some change for rotors. Told them don't even test drive it. I didn't know this shop was for beginner mechanics. I would have went somewhere else. Again, Brittney was the star of the day and i'm thankful to her for speeding along the process. Appt was at 8 am, didn't leaving until basically 11:30. For rotors... lol! I will say I have not had a problem with my brakes yet. With the way the mechanic was acting I hope he didn't sabotage my brakes because he was mad, because i'll be back if that's the case lol. Call for a tuneup this morning spoke to Joe he couldn't help me because I didn't know the size of my engine which is fair so I just drove in I only live three minutes away I picked up a fairly used car for my teenage son which I'm a single mom So I come in about 8 o'clock speak to Joe about a tuneup for the car the car is use and I bought it cash so he asked me did I know if the car was warped in the front and I did and I'm just like that's all I can afford but that's not what I asked you for I asked you for a tuneup so he plans to go to the computer and it takes him about 7to 8 minutes to pull up a price then he says those are special parts that he needs to order and it needs to be dropped off that And that it would cost me about $300 I'm right in his review because he did not make me feel welcome on the phone or in person and I've gotten work done there with previous cars and I would never bring my cars back to this establishment again it's just a respect thing so I went down the street to Meineke and it took about an hour to do any ordered the parts from O'Reillys there was no special parts you just lost a customer for ever and my family I would never recommend this place read more

Went here on Monday for an oil change and AC fix (it has been blowing warm air) - they did not get to my vehicle after they promised they would at least get to the oil change. The manager on duty that day promised me a free oil change if I brought it back in soon. I brought it in today, Wednesday, and received notification saying the dipstick was completely dry and it would be a liability to change my oil. They also said they would not look at my AC because there were vents missing. When I went in to pick up my keys and take my car, I explained to the manager who had offered me a free oil change (she asked when I walked in "are you here for your free oil change?") that I had been told they were unable to put any oil in my car. The other guy behind the counter chimed in - "oh is it the chevy? yeah the dipstick was DRY i'm not sure how you even got it in here. and there are vents missing, it's obviously been tampered with. i would just take it to the dealer, top it off first or else you're not going to get very far." i decided to just take it to take 5 in hiram, because i've never had a problem there. sure enough, no complaints about liability issues from take 5! they just changed my oil, and were very friendly about it. seems to me like tires plus just didn't want to do the work. read more

Same manager starts stuttering say all mechanics are tied up. I said fine I can wait. I ask how long does he think ... He starts stuttering again then says can he make a appointment for me .... I used to come here - despite the fact that NTB, Discount Tire and Pep Boys are all closer to my home. Despite the fact that the wait times were almost always interminable! But after the way Richard treated me last weekend - I will NEVER use this store again and I'm wondering if I will ever use Tires Plus / Firestone at all. By the way - when is ever appropriate to ignore customers standing in front of you - for customers on the phone trying to get tire quotes? It's like he's never heard of asking someone if he can get their contact info and call them back. This store is SUPER busy - but they won't be for long if they continue to treat customers like they're disposable. I've been taking my cars here for years. The first real issue was a few years ago when I took my RAM in for an oil change and they drove it into a wall in their shop. They paid for all the damages and I decided to give them another chance. Recently they diagnosed a problem so I scheduled service about 10 days out. I dropped it off at 9 pm and was told it would be ready within 6 hours. I did not receive an update or a phone call and had to follow up myself 45 minutes before the store closed. The woman I spoke to kept saying "it's way more intensive than they thought" but couldn't tell me what was wrong or tell me if the repair cost would change. She said it would take another day but I needed my car back same day. She said I could come pick it up right away after insisting the mechanic was working on it "but it is just so intensive." When I arrived she still insisted the mechanic said it was "just way more intensive than he thought" but provided no more info. I had a feeling they never looked at my car and I was correct. My car never moved form the parking spot, the seat had not been moved (I am tiny and they always move my seat way back when I bring it it), the radio was still way up, etc.). I cannot believe the front desk would lie to a customer, especially one who has been with them for years and who they worked hard to keep when they damaged a previous vehicle of mine. The new staff has no respect for customers. They lost my business for good. read more

Great customer service! I went there on there to get an oil change, but they were crazy busy and couldn't get to it until later that night. I couldn't stay as I had class so they had me make an appointment for that Friday. So Friday I came in the guy checked me in talked to me about my car and what all they do for their oil changes (they do free tire rotation) I also asked them to check my breaks which they did with no problem. I sat in the lobby while they did it, about 30 minutes later they were done. He checked me out and informed me on what they did and their findings. And since my Jeep just rolled over 100k he told me about doing the high mileage next instead of my thoughts on jumping straight into full synthetic oil. They went above and beyond and I'll be there at my next oil change. read more

After 3 whole days, I received my truck back with the exact same issue that I had taken it in for. Was initially told I needed to replace the entire drive shaft for over $1250 to fix the issue, which I gave the ok to. After replacing drive shaft (so called repair) I was told that the noise had been quieted but not removed (like what a half job!). They then said to fix the real issue it would be over $6500 AND THEY DON'T DO THAT REPAIR THERE. I picked up my truck and their dirty plastic coverings was still inside my truck, very unprofessional!!! My truck sounds worse then when I took it in and I'm out over $1250. They checked things on both cars that normally get overlooked by the typical "speedy oil" change places. They re-installed everything at no charge. They could have told me I needed a new rim and tire and made money. Instead I feel like they did the right thing. Each time I bring my car into the shop there is an issue. The mechanics have forgotten to take off the old oil gasket causing all the oil to leak out of the car. They have broken and dented other parts. The mechanics will tell you need something that you don't need just to charge you more. Stay away from this place. read more

I hate to give bad reviews in the current economic climate, but I really want others to know the lack of integrity of this particular Tires Plus location. I took my son's car in for them to fix his flat tire, and was told that it could not be fixed and needed to purchase a new one. Fine. They are tire people so i trusted their diagnosis. The manager then calls me telling me that nearly $1300 worth of additional work is needed. The car has a bent tire rod which is causing uneven wear on the front tire (which was purchased new in 2020), the 2 back tires are also in need of replacement, bad battery, alignment...etc...etc. I advised them to replace one tire and not to do the other work. 1 month later, I take the car to my trusted mechanic, and he tells me they could not find ONE THING in need of repair. I hate to think that the Tires Plus guy saw a female and thought he could get over, but that is what it certainly felt like. Buyer beware! If they come to you with tons of "suggestions", get a second opinion. read more

I have been using this Tires Plus location for years. Most of the mechanics have been there for a long time and know what they are doing. I fully trust them with my car and drive WAY out of my way to get to this location. They always treat me kindly and work hard to fit me in when I show up. They are usually pretty busy and getting a quick oil change may be difficult, but anything larger like brakes or tires or engine problems, I always go here. I hope it doesn't change.
