I've been to this place a handful of times always to get a flat fixed or some small thing they probably would not make any money on. I went today because my tire pressure notification system is acting up and even though it turns out to be a problem internal to the car and they don't work on that, they were only too happy to give me advice. It was close to closing but Brian took care of me and made sure I was able to get on down the road. Now a resident of Vallejo, I was only too happy return for 4 new tires. Have you ever found a place where you've experienced great service and wanted to keep it a secret from your friends so it doesn't get too popular because it might change? Selfish, I know, but this is one of those places! I brought my car in(walk-in) because I thought one of my tires were leaking air. Brian immediately greeted me and I really like his style of communication; very chill and pleasant. His staff were able to check my tires and were able to get it done in less than an hour. They have a good size waiting area with complimentary coffee and restrooms. I am definitely coming back to have them check my air pressure(complimentary) and will get my tires there. Vallejoans, let's keep our business local. B&G is a non-chain "smallbox" store with personalized service. They been in business a minute and are becoming my new and local go-to tire store. I prior used Les Schwab and Costco exclusively, but they both recently turned me away for service. Price-wise, B&G is very competitive to those prior mentioned; the total quoted per tire usually includes all install fees, etc. They even have a large selection of quality used tires, which I hadn't prior known about. They were very careful w/ a brand new set of chrome wheels I was having them install. The shop manager pointed out a safety issue, which I appreciated during the install. I'll start this off by saying thanks to Brian and the guys at the shop. Got a flat tire last Thursday. I took my car in the next morning and they changed it. No labor cost included! in and out in about an hour for only $71. When I hit something however, something was knocked out of place and my car made an obscene grinding and rubbing sound. I took my car back the following Tuesday after I couldn't take it anymore. Brian warned me that it could be something expensive or could be a quick and easy fix. I left the shop and was driving my wifes car. Brian called me about 30 minutes later and told me that it was a quick fix and my car was ready. I sent my wife to pick it up. She called me which made me nervous... she said the car sounds great and they didn't charge anything. I couldn't believe it. Most shops would have at the very least charged what they estimated ($45) but not them. They sent my car on the way fixed and they left me happy. I can't recommend this place enough. I brought my car to B & G for a front-end alignment. As I was walking up to B & G Tires to pick my car up, I noticed that all four of my hubcaps were missing. I shared this with Miron Self, the service man at the counter. His reply, "yes, we noticed that your hubcaps were cracked and broken so we removed all of them." He stated I could go to AutoZone and pick some up for $20 dollars. Oh, and he took $10 off my wheel alignment. **Prior to bringing my car to B & G, I got new tires from American Tires. When I picked up my car from American Tires, the sales rep advised me that while the mechanic was removing my hubcaps, the attendant cracked and broke two of them. Because of the mishap, I had to buy new hubcaps. FYI Miron, they did not cost $20.00. The difference between B & G and American Tires, American Tires googled the cost of new hubcaps and credited my bill. read more

Love, love my new tires, my old ones were really chopped up and they were affecting my steering, wheel noise and ride on my jeep. Got a quote that was reasonable, made my appointment, got in and out fairly quickly. Now it's just like driving a new jeep. Just brought my 15 Toyota Prius in and I special ordered 4 Pirelli P4 season plus tires because of the excellent reviews and the 90,000 mile warranty. They have the best price anywhere in the Bay Area hands down. It was supposed to take two days for the tires to come in, but they got it in the same day. Called to schedule an alignment. Was abruptly told "Alignment guy is out until the 23rd." With apologies stating that I needed the car for my commute and have been told that it is unsafe to drive without an alignment correction, I asked for an alternate local recommendation and was grumpily told a series of chain store names. When I asked if these chain stores were reliable, the person impatiently said, "I don't know - I'm just throwing out names!" Really? A potential new customer asks for a referral and the answer is to give them attitude and send them anywhere? A better response would have been, "I'm sorry we can't help you immediately, and I don't have anyone local I can recommend." Judging by the 5-star reviews, these people are probably great at what they do. It's unfortunate that this makes them feel entitled to be unnecessarily haughty. read more

Go here before going to Big-O. I bought a used car and had it for two weeks when I got a flat and realized the seller didn't provide me with the wrench to get the after market rims off. I paid almost $200 to have my car towed to my house then on Monday I was lucky enough to have a friend come over and knock the cap off with a screwdriver and hammer. Once that was off I realized I could use a normal wrench to get the lug nuts off and take it down to get a new tire. After I got my wheels back on I found this place and they had a wrench to sell me and it cost only $10. Now the problem is that Big-O was walking distance to my house, about 1/4 mile. I showed up there when they opened and show them a photo of my rims with the odd locks. They told me I had no choice but to get the car towed to their lot (costing me close to $100), then they'd have to use a wrench to get the cap off, and once that was off they'd have to break the locks ($40 per wheel). Total BS- there was no locks under the cap. Furthermore, they would not sell me a wrench or answer my question as whether they even had a wrench. I feel this is totally unethical and as a woman they were hoping to be as unhelpful as possible and make me pay through the teeth. Now this is a review for B and G; not Big-O. My experience here was limited but at least I feel they were honest, with no BS, so they deserve your business over the other chains in Vallejo. read more

Got my tires here a few months ago. Recently got a big screw in my tire. They fixed it for a minimal charge and rotated my tires for free (since I got them here). Brian is a good hard working guy. While busy working with customers and phone calls, he still found time to help me. He checked out my truck for me, explained how UV and the enviroment can wear and crack your tires. Well my tires were cracked, worn and getting old. So i special ordered tires for my truck. Got a great deal even though they were not his brand. Much better than the other places I have looked at.
