I must have called at least 5 times and then thought of just walking in but I didn't have 3 hours to kill waiting around; so, I went on my tire-changing-yelp journey! I have always went to the traditional tire shops that make you sit around and wait forever but today I tried something new. I called tires today and they were very friendly with me. I live in Kakaako so I wanted to have a tire shop located near my residence so I could drop off my car and go home and relax while the tires are being changed I thought it would be very convenient. It turns out there was an installation shop half a block from my house and when I dropped it off there they were very welcoming. I picked up my car everything's perfect and I will definitely be using this company again! Their prices are super fair and the staff and their service centers seem to be all top-notch. I am usually the one that pokes holes and finds faults but there seems to be nothing wrong with using this process for my new way to get tires. read more

Got my tires with quotes of tires more generic and also more expensive than my price range as all I wanted to do was pass safety check. I happily paid the $3 for the upgraded tires. Then I got them installed less than a mile down the road. The guys at Goodyear stopped what they were doing and took care of me on the spot based on a phone call from Alberto. David has sourced me a hard to find set of wheels for my 2014 Ford Raptor at a price that is better than anything you'll find online. These wheels shipped very quick to the island and Tires Today had them delivered straight to the shop where I was having my tires mounted. Here's the best part! The special set of lug nuts I ordered did not get shipped to my house on time, and the wheels had already made it to the island. In order to not postpone the wheel installation, David was able to acquire a set of lug nuts on island and loan then to me until mine came to the island! Nothing like the joys of waking up, having your breakfast, and carrying you coffee to the car for your day at work only to find that you have a huge gash in your tire. What a terrible start to my day! Not knowing quite where to go for tires on the island I turned to friendly Yelp and found someplace nearby that would help me out. I decided to call Tires Today to find out if they had tires in my size and when they were open. I am verrrryyy glad I did because Alberto was awesome! He was able to quote me some prices on the phone and then let me know that they don't actually service people at the location listed here but have several shops around the island that they work out of. He pulled up the closest location to me that just happened to be even closer then before, he texted me the location information and I headed off. When I got there the tire was still being delivered from their warehouse to the location since the one I wanted was out of stock. The guys there were expecting me and took my keys and phone number to call me when they were done. The service took about 45 minutes and Alberto was able to e-mail me the invoice information as they changed my tire out which allowed me to pay online quickly. I walked back to the shop, checked out the tires, and grabbed my keys and headed off to work. The whole process took about 2 hrs from finding out I had a flat to getting off to work. Alberto and David are the team behind Tires Today in Honolulu. They are super patient and professional. Our story - hubby decided he wanted new wheels to go with new tires on our 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Existing wheels started looking nasty early on and it's been bugging him. We've always gone to Costco for tires but they don't have wheels so I went on the Internet to find a place for tires AND wheels - one operation and done. Being used to Costco, Tires Today's business model took a little getting used to and am still not sure I get exactly what they are. In a nutshell, you tell them what you need and they get it to the shop closest to your location for installation. We're in Kailua but opted for a location near Ala Moana Center so went to Pacific Window Tinting for the install. Sean was great and had the tires and wheels done in less than 30 minutes. Alberto already had the wheels in the tires so that made the whole process easier. We had to return within a couple hours for adjustments because the new tires were hitting the front bumper. Sean came up with a solution and fixed the problem fast. I can't say enough about Alberto and the terrific service he gave us. They were having a crazy busy week and I know I was making him nuts with all the phone calls back and forth. I appreciate Alberto's patience and great customer service. David was great, too. Alberto even upgraded our tires at no extra charge so we could take advantage of a mail-in rebate offer. It all got done quickly and we feel lucky to have found Alberto and David.
