I rotate my tires every-time I change my oil so this alone makes it so worth it. The only downside is parking. Make your appointment early so you can get in and out.

After playing phone tag, the guy that answers the phone says Saturday isn't even an option as their alignment guy isn't in on Saturdays. I scheduled for today (Monday). Wheels were aligned in about an hour. I thought things were good to go. My tire pressure light went on while I was driving from the shop to work in Honolulu. I called the shop immediately and someone said a manager would call me back. No call ever came today. I took my car to get my tire pressure checked. Only one tire was filled to 33. The rest of them were filled to 18!! My goal tire pressure per the manufacturer is 35. Now I'm questioning the entire accuracy of my service. My two rear tires are brand new (literally days old). The only reason I didn't get my wheels aligned at Lex Brodie's where I got the tires, is because they don't align Audis. Super disappointed in the service here. I've never in all my years of driving had tire pressure that low, and to have it that low after a service is astonishing. Update: 6 days later and no response from the store via phone or yelp. My message got left on read.

Just that they have a heavy-duty urethane compound injected inside the tire through the valve stem. The compound is pressurized to the recommended tire pressure and then allowed to cure over a few days. Besides being impervious to punctures, foam-filled tires provide construction equipment with a softer ride because of the consistent pressure in each tire. They also add additional weight to each tire which helps stabilize larger equipment. Chris was kind enough to call the night before to confirm my appt & discussed some estimates costs for my tire sensor light that had been blaring at me for the past week. Upon arrival, I waited for about 4 mins before someone popped their head out from the back to assure me someone would be with me shortly. Chris came out, guessed it was me, I signed a release form & had a seat with an expected wait time of about an hour. In less than an hour, Chris gave me the news. My tires needed replacing. Eeeks! He took me to my car to show me how they looked & we trotted back in to discuss more pricing. A few questions were asked, agreement made & I was advised it's be another 45 minutes or so. 2 hours later, my car was ready to go! As I know my original appt wasn't expected to take as long as what it did, I'm still pleased that I didn't spend 5+ hours sitting around. I was cashed out by another rep, but Chris made it a point to catch me at my car before leaving to thank me for my service! That's great customer service! They do have a unisex bathroom (I didn't use it) & a few chairs for patrons to use while waiting. Lobby could use some dusting but hey, it's a tire shop!

Good tires at decent prices. I mean they are in between new and used. No cracks and the tires last so much longer than those other cheap places. 5/5 every time I need tires this is my spot. I tell all my family and friends. Sometimes they even have this cute little boy named T. He is the most adorable kid. Hopefully when you go buy a tire he is there. He makes it worth going there. The ladies that work there are okay too (lol sorry boss ladies) but T is the star there. I would go back and ask but I don't need any tires yet. Can't wait to see him! Cash only paid $40 can't beat that! Not so much a hole in the wall as it is a mom and pop shop. There's nothing wrong with that! I waited an hour for them to patch my tire but that's about right considering I have had the Benz dealer take almost a week balancing the tires because they're pretty difficult to do. The waiting area is comfortable and there's a tv and AC. They did over inflate my tire to 45 psi so thankfully my car tells me that and I just had to let some air out to get it to the 30 psi range which matched my other tires. Def recommend and would use again read more

the tire shop in waipahu not only offers affordable prices and awesome customer service, but also have spectacular mechanics who know what they are doing. they wont beat around the bush about things and give advice for what would be best for your situation. they also sell vehicles from timt to time and have parts for various cars too. hopefully soon it will be a full mechanic shop that will do safety checks etc.....i recommend that everyone check out the tire shop (behind walgreens in waipahu) read more

My kind of place! Friendly local staff! Fast service! Great prices! They had the right tires for my Mazda Miata (two front tires $108). Unpretentious atmosphere. Walgreens is right across the street for cold drinks and snacks! The outdoor seating area is rustic and comfortable! BTW. I went to wallgreens right across the street and the cashier called me and told me my vehicle was ready to pick up. The service is unbeatable! They have new and used with free mounting and balancing for all tire purchases. Used looks almost brand new and they don't carry old tires. They also checked on the rest of my tires that they were at the correct PSI. Sending all my family and friends here also. read more

We built our business based on trust and avoid anything that will break that trust." This is false advertising. My husband went there for a simple service regarding his tires. He agreed to their premium price. Without going into detail, there was a serious safety issue with my husband's car. My husband informed them about the problem; however the representative was reluctant to investigate the problem. The representative stood by his "experienced service staff." So my husband went to a reputable tire company to investigate the problem. The company discovered and concluded that American Tire Company negligently installed the tires improperly. Moreover, American Tire Company installation standards are generally set for commercial vehicles and NOT according to the specific type of vehicle that requires service. There is a sign in their office disclaiming that they are not responsible for any damages to the owner's rims but they claim to be very careful. Now I understand why they posted that disclaimer in the office. I issued a complaint with BBB. American Tire Company failed to offer any reasonable settlement. The Honolulu location is not trustworthy. I remember when the company was on Colburn St. when the company first started. SHAMEFUL! ! ! Maybe this location suits commercial vehicles only. "Quality repair services" ..."perform accurate and friendly auto repairs and tire services" is false advertisement. "We maintain a culture of respect, honesty, and commitment that extends to our people; both internal and external." These are all false statements in their website. "Caveat emptor! ! !" I had shown up early one morning, without an appointment, hoping to get in for the service, as my Ohana were visiting and I wanted to take them around the island. Kainoa got me in immediately and the usual hour and a half time allotted for an alignment went by more quickly than expected and we were on our way. There was a part I needed to replace in the back tire, which the mechanic found during the alignment. After a few weeks of waiting, the part came in and I took my car back to American Tire. They took care of everything promptly and efficiently. Even gave me a ride home (because they weren't too busy and had an extra person on the clock. This service is not usually provided, just fyi. They went out of their way, instead of having me wait for the work to get done plus the realignment, which would take approx 4 hours. Dre was super nice and we talked story on our short drive. Brad had the tires in stock and told us to come after 1pm. Yup, no special ordering the tires, AND same day service...Already a fan. Its a new business and they are currently constructing an and office/waiting area. Brad just opened at this location, and has all the equipment to mount and balance. Did I mention it was cheaper than what I would've paid at the "special order" place? Need new tires? Check this place out!

My Wife called earlier today (4/2/25) to inquire about tires for her car. They said that they had…read morethe tires in stock. She went there and was greeted by Jimmy who helped her out. She was planning on purchasing 2 tires for her car. He checked out the right passenger rear tire and thoroughly inspected it. It looked good and said it didn't need to be replaced. Then he placed the tire back on. Then he removed the left rear tire and noticed a sizable bubble. He quickly replaced the tire and balanced it also. We appreciate Jimmy's honesty in letting my Wife know that the right tire didn't need replacing. If you want great tires at excellent prices, check out Manichan Auto and ask for Jimmy.
