I needed two new front tires ASAP, and since I was in the Waipahu area, I decided to stop by. They're cash-only, so I headed to Longs nearby to withdraw some money. The total for two new tires came out to $130, but I tipped the two guys who changed them, bringing it to $140. I hadn't been to this shop in a while, but it's pretty much the same--located in the industrial area of Waipahu. One nice update is their new waiting area, which is outside the shop with great ventilation. They also sell food now, which is a cute touch for waiting customers. It's industrial af so don't wear anything you don't want to get dirty there They don't take appointments--walk-ins only--but even though it was busy, I was in and out within an hour. This past Saturday driving out West side, we noticed one of my tires wasn't looking so great, so I made an impromptu stop at Costco Tire. Only needed one tire but ended up getting a quote for 2 tires. The tires wasn't available and we would have to drive down to town Costco to see. I paid for my tires, note CASH only and no taxes, you pay for your tires, free installation, no installation fees or disposal fee also. My husband reminded me to put the 2 tires purchased in front and the old tires in the back. There is a fee for this $15. per tire for rotation. I waited on the bench in front, I observed how busy they do get. A few other customers were also waiting for the car to be worked on. A little over an hour wait, so great for Iphone it kept me busy! A month ago my husband and I paid $600 for new tires to be put on his car, I think $30 to get my tires rotated and then left a tip ($700 total). Both our cars have been shaking when running over 60 mph so we took them in to Lex Brodie's and the tires on both vehicles needed to be rebalanced. The price for tires is going crazy. The used tires I received have approximately 90% thread. The mechanics remove and replace your tires. They also balance the tires. The price they will quote you is all inclusive. This means the cost of the tire, balancing them, removal and replacement cost! Had an altercation with the staff over an extremely over priced tire repair. They wanted to charge me $80 for a flat tire plug repair. Granted it was after hours, the normal rate is in the $20-$30 range. The rep on the line I didn't catch her name but instead of pushing away because I couldn't go to their shop she gave me a few options. Which helped greatly!!! If you are looking for a replacement tire for your car and don't want to wait forever and a day for places like Costco and Good Year to get it replaced and not break the bank paying for it, then I would have to tell you that The Tire Shop would be a great option to get that tire replacement and a pretty decent price. Now I'm not gonna lie to you. This place is as sketchy as sketchy gets. It looks like you are entering the set of Sanford and Son or someplace where they would bury somebody where nobody could ever find them. If you are brave enough to get through this, then I would give them a call. All you have to do is call them and ask if they have a particular tire available for replacement. The lady who answers the call is very nice and will give you a quote on how much the tires will cost you. Most of the tires here are used but the tires have at least 75% or more tread on it. The great part about it is that they mount and balance your tire for no extra charge as well. I spent $85 dollars for my tire where I would normally spend close to $150 for a new one and pay more just for them to mount and balance it as well. The tire I bought had 90% tread on it as well. The best part about coming g here is that it took no more than 45 minutes to get the job done and I had the whole day to get my errands done. The last time I went to Costco to just have them look at my tire, it took them over four hours just to look at it. I understand that Costco has a great return policy but I just don't have the time to wait. So if you are looking for a quick fix to that tire that is going bad, I would definitely give them a ring and get you off and going wheeee you need to go. read more

I've come to this spot twice now and the price of the tires have gone up and make sure you check what the lady puts on the ticket because she made a mistake on mine but yells out same price to the guy that was changing my tire. I don't see how it's the same price and even the guy gave me a look like this lady is wrong but he's not gonna say it. Then while I was waiting and they were working on another car the same thing happened to the other customer so she seems to be making things and prices up as she goes. After 3 separate calls, 1 of which I was left on hold for 30 minutes and forgotten about, all of which were unprofessional and rude, I was told they had them and they wouready to install the next morning. Sabrina said that it would be $380 and that it was Cash only. I TRIPLE CHECKED and made sure they had "4 Steel 15" rims and their respective tires, and that the price was indeed $380. She said YES. I said ok I'll be in tomorrow morning. I drove all the way from the North Shore only to have Sabrina say they didn't have the Steel, they only had Aluminum, and they didn't have a set of 4 of the same brand tire. That it would be $430. I expressed that I called 3 different times and they assured me they had them, and that I only brought the amount they told me. She was very dismissive and rude. I had no choice but to take them as I was already nervous driving the truck that distance in the condition my tires were in. They took $400 that I scrapped together after arguing with me about it for 20 minutes. TERRIBLE customer service.
